I hope this is more a dance (upbeat) club performance as a opposed to Barbra Streisand stylle. Celine is still young and should show it off. Dare I say it I want a Madonna style club perfromance like how she promoted Confessions and even MDNA in Paris.

The venue and the stage it seems is about as big as that used in the Taking Chances TV Special... so i wont be surprised if the event is indeed meant to be turned into a tv special...

She has plenty of opportunities to do the dance/upbeat styles during stadium shows. She hasn't done small club shows since forever, I'd die for something similar to the acoustic medley during the ACDS concert.

There have been numerous contests for Canadian residents and European residents for her shows in Europe, the US doesn't get contests like this when it comes to Celine, atleast we haven't for quite a few years now.

 

That aside, alot of you on here we asking for her to do a show like this and its great to see them actually doing something like this. Wish I could go that's for sure because I bet it will be a once-in-a lifetime experience.

You know what? I'm not even disappointed this time, not even angry! Because I never built my hopes too up for this, and honestly, I don't know why you did. Only yesterday I posted that she only cares about concerts today, and here you have the proof, another one to add to the list. This time exclusively for US fans. 24 pages of discussion in the other thread for nothing. You never learn right? This time it wasn't Céline's team fault, it was YOU to expect miracles and for asking pears to grow on elms when you perfectly know that Céline's team has become a bag of disappointments and disillusions, one after the other.

 

And I just learned the cd single has been postponed again... Thank you! I'm holding on tightly to the album release and that's all. That's it. No more expectations. Because Céline herself doesn't want to create any. Whatever else comes, I won't take anything for granted with these people anymore, because its clear you can't dream with a Céline Dion release anymore.

Although I am thankful that you take the time to create such wonderful opportunities for the fans to get the chance to attend a fabulous event like this, the picture presented the other day that stated BIG Announcement Coming October 11 was misleading to worldwide fans who were expecting to be treated with the same fantastic news that US fans have received. I have many amazing friends in the United States, to whom I wish the best of luck and they can attend this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I feel that for future announcements, it would be better to say first who will be able to participate. I know that having announced BIG Announcement Coming October 11 for US Fans would also have let down a lot of her fans, but the pill would have been easier to swallow. Sure, this disappointment on many fans will eventually fade away, but I feel for those who stayed hours on different forums, websites, or social media platforms waiting anxiously for their favorite singer's announcement even at late night hours. In the meantime, we will be waiting for this new album, hoping we have news soon!

Since this concert will take place some days before the album's release, looks like it will be the concert that they will most probably record to air on TV the week of the album's release.

I'm sorry that so many fans are disappointed, but I live in NY, so i think this is AMAZING! Also, my guess is that this will be televised so we'll all be able to see it - and this is just the type of show people have been asking for for ages - small and intimate.

 

I emailed Edison Ballroom to see if tix will be available for purchase, but haven't heard back yet.

 

Btw, I do think this is the first real concert - outside of the Taking Chances tour - that Celine has done in the US outside of Vegas since she started there in '03, so it doesn't really seem unfair to me. Vegas is the complete opposite side of the country (over 5 hr plane ride) from NY so it's not like everyone here can see her whenever they want.

It sucks that it was so disappointing for fans outside the US - though maybe that's why only some people could see it on Facebook - maybe the tried to limit it to US fans?

 

And don't forget about the Bercy concerts you'll get to see if you're close enough to France that are pretty much impossible for most of us in the US to see - those are sure to be amazing!

I would take a 5 hour flight any time to see her! She's performing through the year in the USA and you can choose the time of your convenience to see her. I, on the other hand, was ecstatic about taking a 3hour flight to Paris to see her only to find out that I cant get the days off that I need. 3hour flight in europe - its nothing! *sigh* Dont take this personally chocolatechip15, I just needed to vent...

Of course! I actually did not post that about myself because thank God I will have the opportunity. But I put myself in the shoes of those who were really hurt by the announcement. As I said in that post, eventually all will pass and we'll be looking forward to new stuff.

I know that Helsinki is out of the question (god I hated the lack of enthusiasm in the audience, I was on seat 5 in the 5th row, crying my eyes out!! others just applauding in a civilized manner..) Well, so much buzz about one single small event...we have a say that goes like this; The mountain shook - a mouse is born.

 

But yes for certain people who didn't made it to see her in Las Vegas this is big news. So good luck to US people.

 

This I'm 100% sure will be nothing but a tv special (mostly lipped I gues).

As A CLUB I pictured myself a real club where people go to party.....but this one reminds me too much the 2007 Kodak scene.

Sorry I can't imagine Celine performing a club song and people seating in a round table with a glass of wine

and not to mention those fake audience applauses they used in '07 and TC world tour they are making these days...dooh
