A couple of us here in NY are going to stalk Edison Ballroom this afternoon to see WTF is going on. Because I'm pissed. That place seats 1200 people. There is no way they filled that up yet...especially with no announcement. I live in NYC and I have to miss this one chance I'll get to see her unless I can afford Vegas between now and 2019?!?!? Oh hell no...this b*tch is about to throw down!!

Get 'em!! LOL But seriously.....I hope one of you makes it in!

 

The last time they did something like this in 2007 at the Rainbow Room in NYC there were several of us from The Forum that got to go, so this is just horrible that NONE of us were picked. It makes me think it's more of an "industry" show than for the fans. What a shame because she has sounded amazing this week BUT maybe it'll be recorded and we'll at least get to see it....someday.

I'm disappointed in this too. I thought for sure someone on here would get to go. Even if no one won the contest on here those of you in the area should've at least received a Pandora invite. I know tickets weren't sold because they can't be sold for this event but still! I have seen it pop up a few times, based on the billboard interview, that there is going to be some re-marketing going into black Friday and the holiday season. One of the things I read, if I read correctly, is going to be some kind of TV something or another......to which I also read in one of the interviews for this event that it had a great tv appeal (or however they worded it.....) to it. Oh, I wish we knew someone inside tonight to know for sure if they're filming this for later!!

 

It would be great if she was doing "Sessions on AOL" or something, but I fear it's just an industry show. There is no hype whatsoever for it.

 

Plus, don't forget, her contract with Vegas says she can't have other shows in the US, so this must be something for the industry,

I keep hoping Pandora will stream it live. Even if we can't see it I'd love to at least be able to hear it!

I was there at the rainbow room drinking our fake wine haha!! I have the RH group on facebook and no one on there has mentioned winning there way in either. I think some used their "connections" to get tix...at least that's what it sounds like, but I haven't heard anyone talk about winning the celinedion.com prize or pandora invite.

That stinks if she's only performing six songs. Since it's to promote the album I'd think they'd pick songs from the album for all six. I really hope she does more but seems typical for such a small event, in a way. I bet they'll be a lot of conversation, Q&A, maybe meet & greet with the even as well (since bloggers will be in attendance). Perhaps that's why there's only six songs?

Vegas contract doesn't allow her to do concerts in the US?!?! That's INSANE. I guess we won't be getting a mini tour then.

 

I would at least hope that a number of these songs get added to the Vegas show. Would be a complete shame if these songs never see the stage.
