What a spirited bunch we are!! So passionate about our Celine.

 

I was so glad to see her back on TV again and on Ellen during her premiere week. I loved the interview for the most part, Celine is just so funny, she cracks me up. I'm glad it was a 2 segment interview, so many times it's quick because they sing. I liked the performance, very passionate and moving. I look forward to another appearance on Ellen sooner than 6 years! LOL

 

Now I hope she does Jay Leno or maybe she'll wait til the album is released.

Why do you think they decided to homeschool RC? I don't quite get it. Are there no schools in LV? Why can't he still go to school in Florida? Still they were more in Florida than in Vegas. Does it mean Celine's shows will be more often or what? I don't quite get the part of moving to LV for good

 

Well, he had to school via SKYPE when they weren't in Florida. I can't see that being the most effective way to get an education. Maybe there aren't any schools as prestigious in Las Vegas as the one RC was going to in Florida, so they found a tutor that can give him the same level of education. You know Celine likes her stability, which is probably another reason that she wanted to move to Vegas permanently.

when I read the comments on the video I think - Celine if people are negative about you, it is your own fault. That goofiness might be nice sometimes, but if you want to be taken serious, want to get respect from new people. This ain't working. Okay it is funny, I have to admit. But I can understand there a lot of people who are annoyed by it and think what the #?? is she doing ???

 

True. We love when she's funny, bacuse we know that she really is, but somebody who don't know her can consider it as a fake bahavior.

There's a time to be goofy and a time to be serious.

 

Now she should focus on her new CD and promotion.

 

Not to talk about Rene, kids, house, dogs and porn! It's fun, but not right now!

 

When people get a new CD then it's time to be silly and to show the crazy side.

I saw that , they talked about how on access Hollywood that celine revealed that her mom wasn't always a fan of Rene and Celine as a couple at first. And Sharon Osborne was the only one to say some mean things and implying she was grossed out by celine and Rene's marriage/relationship, Cheryl underwood, stated that Celine was always mature for her age , and she's CELINE DIOM

so she can do as she pleases, and Julie Chan said they are so great together and one of the true love stories. So it wasn't all negative just Sharon Osborne, this behavior she has towards Celine could stem back to the 90s when Celine was dominating everything and as Ozzys manger that didn't make her thrilled.

All the more reason she should go on the talk and let Sharon and everyone else know that she didn't like their comments. I mean seriously, they've been married almost 19 years now, why are people still bringing the age difference up? They are happy leave them alone already! People shouldn't judge, they are not in their shoes...

Yeah exactly lol. And also now RC is I think in his second year of middle school if I'm not mistaken...which means he probably has a lot of homework, test, quizzes, etc so it's hard to miss so much school every school year. I think anothe reason why they pulled him out of the school is because Celine will be traveling to Belgium and Paris this year and last year they went to Quebec for like a month and then Paris for about 2 weeks..thats over 4 months of missed school for RC including Vegas for one school year (( RC being homeschooled I think is better for them because when Celine doesn't have shows they can just stick around in vegas and do whatever they want or they can go on vacations like to the Bahamas, maldives, etc.....places they used to go to during her last vegas show breaks Besides, RC plays baseball in Vegas so I imagine he has a ton of friends there too so really I think the homeschooling might have been for the beter. If it wasn't, celine wouldn't of done it she wants the best for her kids lol.

And also Celine's realtor said they will be buying a smaller house in Florida because they still love Florida....so they might go there once in a while during her breaks lol. So at least RC can see his friends from school whe nthey go there

 

And also I think Celine's best friend Robin lives in Florida because it was somewhere in her book lol. I'm such a creeper I saw Robin at the twin's baptism in the background in 3 boys and a new show and during 3 boys and a new show when RC was filming james bond haha. So I'm sure they will go to Florida a lot because her friend is there

And when I read negative reactions the reason they are annoyed is also because Celine always talks about her family etc. And i think the talkshowhosts are also to blame for always asking about the age difference between Celine and Rene. And now that stupiid sounds for warming up the voice. There is no need to show that on tv unless you want to be considered as weirdo. I am sure Madonna, Cher, Mariah whatever, they all have their vocal exercises, but do they show that on tv??? No, they stay serious and talk about their new album, which songs and why. Celine and Rene should write down some no- go areas. And one of them should be not asking things that have been asked before so many times - why and how Rene and Celine found each other blabla. People know that story for so long already! be original.

And maybe Celine should get showbizadvice for what to do and not to do on national television. What image do you want your audience to get from who is Celine.

Exactly! They're one of the few (very few!) Hollywood marriage's that has actually lasted. That says something about both them!

I think she'll save the bigger shows like that until closer to the album's release date. But I do hope to keep seeing her everywhere else in the meantime!

Looking at youtube, he doesn't get THAT many views...which is expected. It's an online show. Most of the videos have views in the hundreds..some lower. Maria Sharapova got a lot. That doesn't count the views that he gets on OraTV though...I don't think they are linked.

For those of you who complain how Celine and Rene's relationship/love story are always brought up in interviews you do realize its not Celine who is asking them to talk about it right? Interviewers bring it up almost every single time because its "controversial" and its not like Celine is going to sit there and be like "No I am not going to talk about my relationship with my husband" because, A) she is an "open book" C.) doesn't like to be overly rude (which is what she would be considered if all of a sudden she stopped answering their questions about it) and C) because she is not ashamed of it and is proud of her and Rene. Not to mention there wedding was even televised so she is not gonna get away from talking about it when her and Rene since they went public have been extremely open about their marriage and the relationship's start.

 

However that doesn't mean that we as fans can't complain about hearing it constantly, but remember the average viewer of these shows probably do not watch every single interview they can that Celine has done so probably have only heard it a handful of times or so, not the thousands or so times that the people on the forum have.

The problem with these interviews is that most of them (other than Ellen) are the *first* time she's been on the show . .they don't really know her, so they're going to ask her all the standard questions. . it was different with the hosts who'd had her on a bunch of times and already asked all the usual questions. .. Oprah, Rosie, Jay Leno, even Arsenio. I bet the Larry King one will be more interesting.

 

What I have gathered, (based on my survey on everyone I know, since I'm always talking about celine) is that the average American knows this about Celine: she comes from a big family, she has a French accent, she married a much older guy, she has a show in Vegas, and she sang a bunch of sappy ballads that were big in the '90s, including the Titanic song. This level of knowledge includes people who liked some of her music -- maybe bought FIY or LTAL - but weren't mega-fans. So that's what these interviewers are asking about.

Expecting Celine to change her attitude when she has been the same person (talking about her family, making jokes, strange gestures) the past 25 years or so (I am talking about her attitude during interviews and public appearances in general, since we can't be 100% sure of who she really is, as we don't know her in person) is very irrational.

 

Celine can be a weirdo, we all know that and personally I find her charming. She was on the Ellen Degeneres show, she was supposed to be funny and do whatever she wants. Do you really think Ellen's questions have substance or depths? They are supposed to provoke funny, easy-going duscussions. Celine was serious replying the serious questions she was asked on Access Hollywood and Billboard Awards. You say what Celine did was stupid but the comments of the video ''Celine Dion warms up'' are overwhelmingly positive. It's not like people bashed her or thought she makes a fool of herself, as if she was out of place.

 

You have to accept that every singer out there has positive and negative attributes. Madonna can be bitchy during interviews, Mariah is the Queen of shade and they are not always talking about their music. They also reply to questions regarding their personal lives, their public conflicts (Nicki Minaj & Eminem, anyone?) and let's not forget they both have shown more skin than voice the past years, which also speaks of their attitude. I am not trying to bash them, I'm simply explaining why every singer has pros and cons, even those singers you used as exemplary guests.

Personally, I think that Ellen interview was very nice, and funny.

But.. I don't like the fact that she's talking more about other things ( in these last interviews ) than the new record itself.. We all know how Celine loves Rene and etc.. but I'd like to watch her talking more about the recording of the album, the songs, you know..

Celine is much sillier in English than she is in French. She's different sort of funny when she speaks French. I think her sillyness in English can make some people uncomfortable. Lots of people try to make people laugh or take on a different role in their second language. I prefer the French interviews because they generally are more work oriented in nature.

that's my opinion and i'm entitled to it. it's called freedom of speech. i don't remember seeing the bee gees following celine around every corner of every appearance. nor did i see carole king do it. if celine sang their songs they weren't around and they were interviewed seperately.

Had it not been for Sia's song, because she's the songwritter of the moment and for her enthusiasm with Celine, praising her in twitter and all, maybe Celine's new english single would have made half the noise it's made so far or none at all We have to be realistic and honest, and thankful to this woman to have come across Céline's way and giving her music some fresh air.
