But what does she has to be ashamed of? Why listening to Celine Dion is looked like embarrassing or not "normal"? Because she has a voice? Because she knows how to sing? I know that listening to Celine Dion not regarded as "cool" today by the general public, and they even make fun if you say that "I love Celine Dion" and you're a in your 20's (don't want to know if you're in your teens), but everytime I've read these kind of comments or has happened to me, I've said it the next time louder and clearer, my mouth wide open . Proud!

I have to say, I downloaded LMBTL and blasted it in my car, blasted it at every stop light and next to every car and person I passed by. I actually felt, dare I say, "cool" playing this Celine song!! I Lurrrrrrve it!!

I finally heard this song on the radio today! 100.7 WHUD - it's an AC station for the Hudson Valley, not far outside NYC. Don't think it's the biggest or most influential station (though it's got a pretty strong signal, cause I don't live anywhere near the Hudson Valley), but so excited to hear it!!

I get that station and I listen to it. I was switching over to it while I was in the car hoping to actually hear it. I'm glad that you did. I know that 100.7 and 106.7 are the only stations in our area that were added so I listen to them the most in my car, but have had no luck. Maybe tomorrow i'll catch it and hopefully they will keep playing it for awhile

You're right about Madonna. Although her only 2 Hits after 2005 were a duet with Justin Timberlake (in 2008) and another duet with Nicki Minaj and Mia (in 2012). Her other singles were mostly ignored.

 

Jennifer Lopez had to make a duet/collaboration with Pitbull in order to score a Hit with On The Floor.

 

As for Cher, her last Hit was Believe back in 1998 when she was in her early 50's but the music industry was a different world back then so it doesn't really count.

 

Madonna's "Give Me All Your Love" was a huge flop. Even her fans hated it. and Cher's hit with "Believe" did not come easy. She had to do a lot of self promotion for it and shove it down a lot of people's throats in order for it to be popular enough to play on top 40.

She might get followes if the upcoming album is a success. Her FB page reached the ''likes'' of Mariah's FB page when ''Sans Attendre'' came out. Mariah used to be ahead for almost 1m ''likes''. Then in 2013, for some reason, Celine surpassed her. I remember my little FB Celine page was getting about 10 fans every day back in late 2012, which is huge given the fact it has less than 2k likes as of now. Based on these, I get to think... What will happen if her Twitter account gets many followers?

I simply don't want to imagine her lame team asking ''Share your experiences from the latest Vegas concert.'', ''What did you shop at the boutique?''.

 

They should posting something fun not just trying to sell something, they looks like online shop now.

I don't know if this has been posted, but Loved Me Back To Life made the top five list from spotify! She was number 1 and they speak good about her in the end of the video.

I think that something else hurting the song is that she's spending 75% of her promo appearance talking about the twins, RC, her marriage to René, Vegas, selling her house(s), etc. VERY little about the new album.

 

Also - and I think this is a big point - she is downplaying the fact that this album will be a new style for her. She's gone as far as to say "Oh, it's not like I'm a new Céline." In some ways, if she wants mainstream radio to pick up the song, I think it's necessary for her to differentiate who she is now from her '90s power ballad fame.

 

Additionally, her whoever runs her twitter clearly has no background in social media as it's a complete disaster and doing nothing for her image, promotion, etc.

well, here in Lebanon, i heard the song on 3 stations: Radio one lebanon, NRJ lebanon and light Fm. As well, mix fm played Sia's demo several time!!!! so i posted on their facebook page, if they're going to play celine's version and i posted the you tube link for the studio version. their answer was: "they added the song to the playlist but they will keep playing sia's version because they love it."

It has been a while since i heard a new fresh celine song on the radio here in lebanon (an english song, especially on these big stations ), her french music is always played on stations who plays french songs, old and new.)
