· René had wanted Céline to sing Incognito in concert for a long time

· At first, they though of just having her performing hits, but then they decided that they preferred to have her singing songs she hadn't performed in a long time

· It took them like 4 or 5 meetings to choose the songs

 

"4 or 5 meetings to choose the songs?" And all to end up with a remix of past tours again? Who decides this?

But to be honest, it's just impossible to find a setlist which can satisfy everyone !!! I'm pretty sure that you've already seen Celine live and that you want to hear "new" songs. So do I, especially songs from 1 Fille et 4 types and D'elles. But, imagine those who are going to see her for the first time...

 

Anyway, maybe the setlist in November will be a bit different. I so much want her to sing "Et je t'aime encore" and "Immensité" and I forget many many others.

No, I've never seen her live, and at this rate I don't know if I'll do with the extremely repetitive setlists she's doing since decades. If it were the first time to see her, I'd be 100 times more excited if she were to perform songs that I've never seen her sing before, than songs that I can choose from 5 different concerts in DVD in my home because she has been singing them in each and every of them since 15 years ago

I can understand, really. And if it's the same setlist in Paris, of course, I will be a bit disappointed. But don't forget it's the first time you're going to see her live, so forget your DVDs and enjoy yourself.

Yeah she could definitely sing both, but if you remember the francophone concerts of the latest world tour... She sang L'amour Existe Encore in Montreal and Ziggy in France.

 

Anybody knows what she sang in other francophone european countries besides of France? LAEE or Z?

Yes! I'm like about "Je Crois Toi". I said that I wouldn't read what the setlists would be, but I'm happy. True that some songs have been performed thousands of times, but for the general public, they are beloved songs they really want to listen to. I'm happy there's something for everybody, and her catalog is very-well represented.

I expected the set list would be something like that. I'm glad for Regarde-moi, Je danse dans ma tête and Je crois toi. 1F&4T is completeley ignored as well as "D'elles"... It's a pity. It would have been nice to see "Tout l'or des hommes". Also I wish they have added "Les derniers seront les premiers".

 

I guess the set list for concerts in France and Belgium won't be too different.

OMG yes! Javis, you do need to see her, and I hope you do! In my case my eyes never got away from her. She's really spellbinding as Alex says. Whatever happens behind o near her will go unnoticed. Too bad the minutes fly, as you wish you could stay there the whole night listening to her songs.

As a Celine fan, seeing her live is the most amazing experience -- I'd highly recommend it if you have the opportunity. It's totally different - seeing her sing a song live and seeing it on a DVD -- even if it's a song you've seen on a DVD a million times, it sounds and feels different live. She has such amazing energy and charisma, and it's something you can only really understand when you experience it.

 

for me, there were some songs where I didn't care for the recorded version, but i LOVED seeing them live . The Reason, in particular. And even LCMM. . .i roll my eyes and fast forward whenever i see her performing it in something i'm watching a recorded version of . . but when i saw her live -- I loved it! It was just different . she had so much energy, was having so much fun, the whole theater was up and dancing, and it was a great moment (even though i can't stand watching that song in recorded versions anymore). I think that's why she keeps performing it - it goes over really well with crowds and just works as an up=tempo song.

The European minitour was to celebrate that Sans Attendre is doing so well and it is organised by that Coulier guy, whereas the French concert in Montreal seems to be some kind of anniversary concert regarding her French carreer?

She always used to sing both. In the TCOML, D'eux, and LTAL tours, L'amour existe encore and Ziggy were performed together in all Francophone shows (the FIY tour just had Ziggy, no LAEE). I find it strange that they separated them in the TCWT depending on whether the show was in Europe or Canada.

and sorry, but I don't really care that Celine loves Adele... ok that's fine... it's her favourite singer but sorry it was Justine bieber you'd react the same? I doubt so. It was supposed to be only French and cover all the albums! and they said so. that is why I could not jump so high with excitement. I would rather she did Attendre instead of Rolling in the deep... but if you don't, that's a pity... You should maybe change a forum and look for Adele's one
