I think it's Karma :down: because I was here before complaining about the quality of the dvd, now I'm not even able to play it at home, because my dvd player doesn't play the Une Seule Fois concert anymore... the other dvds are ok, but not this one :(

Who else watched this recently? I've been enjoying it while out and about, thanks to it being on my phone. :D

Are there different product codes for the Canadian blu-rays? Mine arrived broken so I got another, but the two look different. :down:

 

Is the case supposed to be thicker, like a regular DVD case, or slim like a normal blu-ray case?

I got mine from Amazon Canada, think there's only one version. I thought DVD and Blu-ray cases are the same thickness.

Nop, simply the show and it was actually a shorter version of the DVD (less songs)

Yeah, it was the best concert ever as far as setlist is concerned. Although it would have been perfect if they had included TLDH, I and JNVOP :innocent:

 

I hope they will use the same scheme for the new show. Fresh, original with decent forgotten songs.

I know I'm a little late...ok REALLY late....but I just brought this set! Found it at my local music store!! WhooHoo! It was only like $10.50 incl. tax. Can't wait to watch this! :)

The concert in Quebec lacks some uptempo songs. I can understand that RM could not be performed because of the train crash, but TLDH should have been part of it!

 

I still think they should have added I to the CD and used the a capella ending of JNVOP to close the CD more propperly.

she should had sang Contre Nature instead of Bozo...

i understand that RM had to removed from the setlist, but replace it with 1 of your own gems...

Bozo was the best thing about that concert, as far as I'm concerned.

I totally agree Davey! I and JNVOP should have been there without any doubt. I still can't believe/understand why they didn't include them. Giving us 4 extra songs, so why not 6 (or 5,5 :P as JNVOP was so short!)... It doesn't make sense. Especially if you take into consideration that both of them were from different albums and had been barely performed before...

 

as for the tempo, I agree, the "slow" sequence is way too long! But it also shows that they realised that because they changed the order of the songs for Paris for the better! Having JNPBDA, SSDA, LMEE and ABM together wasn't a good idea. To be honest, I think that IACBTMN/TPOL and ABM could have been skipped (at least ABM!) because if it was to be French Une seule fois, why not include ONLY French songs? She would have enough uptempo songs even to replace LCMM! Imagine Je lui dirai, A Cause, etc. I would only keep MHWGO (still! :D) as far as English songs are concerned.

 

In Paris, on the contrary, the setlist was improved (I wish we would have at least a CD, she sounded MUCH better there) but at the same time I really missed JDDMT, DMQS (!!!!!!!!) and Incognito. So, a mix of these two shows would be the best!

Watching it now... Amazing! She looks and sounds stunning! The only improvement I'd make is a 100% live Power Of Love! A man can dream...

 

But why was RM removed? Were I and TLDH performed and omitted from dvd or were they not part of the show?

Regarde-moi was removed cause of the train crash/derailment in Lac-Mégantic, and as for the others... I don't think they were in the USF set list- but in the European tour.

So I was trying to buy a digital version of the DVD (because I no longer own such archaic things as DVD and CD players ;) ) and found it surprisingly difficult.

This is all well and good, but why is this (seemingly) not available for download? And if it is, why so hard to find? I'd like to buy it, dear Sony, but you sure make it difficult!

 

And BTW, I love this entire show. Love the brassy arrangements. Love that she did songs like Dance dans ma tete and Des mots qui sonnent, and the great version of Je crois toi.

 

Plus that look was her best in recent years. The clothes, the makeup, and especially the wind-blown hair. She looked stellar.

 

But it also makes me sad to see how much she's aged in the 2 years since. Too much stress and heartache.

Not in the US it isn't!

And good luck getting access to iTunes UK or Canada without a local billing address... Sony sure doesn't make this easy.
