Lol! Why do they do (or don't do) half the things that make sense?

 

This was part of a tv program.... And I'm guessing it wasn't productions j

Does anyone else agree it's amazing to have LMBTL on a concert DVD! If it weren't for Celine deciding to do it last minute:

 

1. The DVD would be shorter

2. It wouldn't have felt as special

3. It was the very first time she performed that song (which .... I may be wrong ... But it think it's the first DVD where she first introduces a new song which she has recorded)

4. In many ways I feel I prefer the live version as it is more gritty, more emotion and less perfect (but I do love the studio too)

5. She looks amazing.... Great outfit... Kinda reminds me of live in Memphis jacket (but nicer)

6. Arguably the best performance of the song

 

Even though we have seen it so many times on youtube all year..... The concert would not be the same without it! For me, the moment right after she finishes the song.... And she is so happy .... This is a very great moment to capture on DVD.

 

Sorry for going on too much.... Just wanted to see if you guys agree?

This is so true. I liked the end of it to. This is the best performance hands down. I wish they would have just let it be live with no editing, though. It sounded so natural. Now the performances sound (ignore Jimmy Kimmel and Ellen, they both are good though) too perfect. In vegas, I thought it sounded too perfect. It needed to sound raw like USF.

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

I'm sure they have stacks of audios and videos, just wish they would share them with us. All of us fans would go crazy to see all those that they have in storage. Lots and lots of more money for them, and millions of extremely happy fans. Me dreaming again, ha ha.

Oh Kev, she was so happy after she sang that song, you're right. She was like a little girl being given candy, bending forward and just laughing. It's almost like the best moment of the concert, so adorable. Oh my word, I love her so much.

Any UK fans pre ordered the dvd from celinedion.com and still not recieved it yet?! I'm quite dissapointed especially since i had to pay an extra £10 to have it shipped to the UK and its still not arrived! Also i pre ordered it 3 weeks before the release date so surely they would have known to give it enough time. I could have just waited and bought it on the release date and probably had it here sooner!

 

Nevermind, i'm super excited to watch it fully in high quality- arguably one of her best concerts of her entire career in my opinion!

I don't think any Boutique orders were being shipped until 16 May, it will probably take more than a week for it to arrive in the UK.

Finally able to listen to USF. sigh... PQTME is just :wub: but it's hearing LMBTL that's brought me back to the magical evening.

I just noticed that the CD version of DUAM has the "Ticket pour autre rencontre, rencard au paradis" line, but she didn't sing it at the concert and it's not in the DVD. Are some parts of the song from the CD from the Paris concerts? I know she sang that line while doing the SA tour. Edited by CelineDionForeverNY

Yeah I think so too. She made it to #12 in the Netherlands with almost no digital sales so France and Belgium could be big!

Definitely an improvement over TCWTTC:

I think the quality of the show is amazing, Celine sounds great (autotuned or not!) and I love love love the inclusion of English subtitles!

 

I have to say though the audience looks like the most boring audience I've seen on ANY concert DVD never mind just a Celine one. Can people who were actually there on the night (Del?) confirm that everyone didn't stand absolutely still for 2 hours and didn't show any excitement at all? How bizarre!

Well I have to say the Blu Ray is rather fabulous isn't it?

 

I think the quality of the show is amazing, Celine sounds great (autotuned or not!) and I love love love the inclusion of English subtitles!

 

I have to say though the audience looks like the most boring audience I've seen on ANY concert DVD never mind just a Celine one. Can people who were actually there on the night (Del?) confirm that everyone didn't stand absolutely still for 2 hours and didn't show any excitement at all? How bizarre!

Right before the show when the lights went off the crowd went WILD. Then during the show I can only speak from where I was (Section C) people were singing with her, cheering and some were dancing. I didn't get the impression at all that thr crowd was bored. Some songs had more of an effect on the crowd than others.

That's probably because of the horrible job the post-production team did... They almost turned off the sound of the audience, taking away the "live concert" feeling...

It wasn't so much the sound to be honest it was the visuals. Any time they cut to the audience it was just them standing about.

Exactly! They can make the audience seem like they did not sing along, hummed along , clapped etc. During Celine singing her songs the audience noise was turned down to a minimum, only after the songs there are some volumelevels of a cheering, clapping audience. But , yes, it takes away the excitement of a live concert.

That being said, Celine's voice and the individual instruments do sound live. So I am okay with that. It is already miles better then the almost studiosound of the Taking Chances worldtour that was much more worse in terms of completely taking away the audience sounds. I really love this bluray for sure. But yes, I miss the excitement of that huge crowd. They sound like they are quied each time that Celine sings her song. That is pure because the movie editor decided to shut down those audience sounds.

It sounds and looks amazing! So happy! Memories of Bercy! It's so enchanting to hear the new arrangements in HQ. For about a year I resisted watching it because I was going to Bercy and then for the dvd. Yaaay! Also a nice reminder of why her and her music touch my soul. Edited by Alex_Incognito
