Oh, Spotify. They'd better update all her new albums as soon as they possibly can, because I rely on them for music more than iTunes sometimes. :glare:

On Itunes TAIWAN (didn't check on other Asian stores) there is a big banner promoting this release. Quite surreal for what it seems to be a minor compilation.

I mean, even Sony France, couldn't do that when "PAMP" was release.

I have the album and they are remastered or mixed differently. I just listened to ABM and TPOL and they have slight differences.

What about "I SURRENDER"?!?!?

Not sure, but I noticed some new piano and background vocals on "A Natural Woman"!!!!

Yes! I heard it too! Right during the chorus.

Also, "All By Myself" is noticeably difference especially during the first chorus. They also removed the piano during the final chorus (like she sings it live and also the way it was on the US version of "My Love."

Also noticing that there are some slight differences in "I Surrender" and "To Love You More."

The guitar during the bridge section of "The Power of Love" is stronger. The whole section that breaks up the final chorus (the part that is never sung live) has a completely changed arrangement.

Overall it seems like these have been remastered and remixed to add a bit more "colour" and "depth" to the arrangements.

It's actually a very nice collection and great to hear these songs remastered and sounding better than ever. These sound like the 5.1 stereo mixes that are on the "All the Way... Decade of Song & Video" DVD.

Background vocals are also stronger in "Because You Loved Me." Orchestra is fuller in "The Power of the Dream."

Subtle changes in "All The Way." Just sounds like it was cleaned up a bit and turning up the volume on the strings.

Thank you Tim for the review!! :)

My pleasure! :)

Just listened again to "All By Myself" vs. the original. The drums have been completely removed from the first chorus. The drums do not come in until the 2nd verse and are pretty quiet until the 1st chorus. Comparatively to the original version, they are much quieter throughout.

can anyone post a clip of some songs featuring the differences so we can all notice them??

Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)

Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)

It's nice that they didn't include the weird audience noise in IICD. Céline's vocals are incredible and she sings this epic tune way better than other epic tunes these past years (on if If I Ruled The World she sounded horrible, as if someone put a gun to hear head and told her to sing as loud and soulessly as she possibly could - such a waste of a good song and collaboration with the legend Tony Bennet).

But the rest about this track is horrible. The mixing is very clumsy. The arrangements and instruments sound horribly digital, like they're all done by computer. Sounds very cheap. A track like this deserves better. I can't grasp Foster would want his name attached to this.

And the "thank you goodnight" at the end.... what's it there for?

Peace and love to all.

How funny I just came back to this topic after receiving the album yesterday as I was convinced there were changes to some of the arrangements in the songs - and sure enough. So was an unexpected bonus :-)

Paid less than £8 which included delivery.

Yeah, me too, I think "If I Ruled The World" is quite a masterpiece and Celine did a great job. She didn't sound like she didn't put her whole soul into it, it's just that you can never be good to everybody, be all things, there always be people to tell you're not good enough :whistling:

Love comes to those who believe it...

It's interesting that they choose to promote this album with I Surrender (among others) "the hit that never was", if only they ever asked us fans what songs to release as singles.

I really don't intend on buying this album.

I used to be a "collector" or whatever, have some promo CDs and stuff and a £15 CD single of WDMHBN.

After the Collector's Edition vol.whatever came out I grew tired with all these compilation things. Why are people buying it for one song that you could just get digitally?

I know that they repackaged FIY, ANDHC and LTAL together, but why buy that, as a collector if you have all three original albums anyway and just for one song?

I like the reviews of it saying that it's been re-mastered and mixed differently, that makes me want to buy it. But is just shows that with someone saying there was a "Thank you, goodnight" at the end that that particular song was taken from a live performance.

Even with the last tour DVD that was released, the Taking Chances tour, all the audio was horribly edited and sounded as if she lipped everything, and as someone else said, if it makes it sound cheap, then I'm not buying.

I have most of those songs. Remixed or not, the original version probably sound better than auto-tuned nonsense.

And there is nothing I can find about David Foster having anything to do with "I surrender", other that perhaps taking the song from someone else and getting Céline to sing it ad-lib to ad-lib. Has anyone checked the covers topic? You'll see what I mean. The woman's album that it comes from was released months before hand, and unless she has some inside video scoop from Céline recording in the studio, which I'm assuming she doesn't, then her "team" are just as much thieves than anyone else. And all this nonsense about it being written for Edyta Gorniak first. She released her own version, so how did Sony get their paws on it?

And my last point. Taking a magazine cover from 2005? What is this crap? Do they not have enough money to come up with something new? Céline isn't doing as many shows, with her new show as she was for A New Day so there's plenty of time in amongst changing diapers etc.

I know this sounds harsh but at what point do people stop becoming insane?

Harsh but true...!
