(He is doing an Asia-only tour this fall (http://www.davidfoster.com/shows/). . . and back in 1994 when Celine sang Love Lights the World, Beauty and the Beast, and the Power of Love in that special filmed in Japan -- that was a "Super Producers - David Foster" concert.) I read once that in Asia, people pay much more attention to producers than they do in other parts of the world, and David's really popular there. I imagine that's why they're releasing this there. chocolatechip15 Posted October 11, 2012 at 12:53 AM Posted October 11, 2012 at 12:53 AM (edited) I actually really really love the idea of this album -- David Foster has always been my favorite producer of Celine's -- largely because they seem to have such a great relationship together -- such a genuine respect and affection for each other (which you can really see in that link that Kev posted). And I love how David is interviewed in practically every documentary about Celine, and just raves about how much he loves both her and Rene, and how she and Rene are "one of the greatest love stories of all time." And he believed in her from the very beginning, before she was known at all outside Quebec and France; he got Sony (then CBS) to raise the budget for her first English album; he gave her a huge part in Voices that Care when she was still pretty unknown . .you can see a video of him in the TV show of the Unison launch where he predicts that she'll be a major force in the music industry, but that he thinks her personality won't change (i.e. she won't become arrogant) because she's "rock-solid". .and he was so right. This is kinda worth it.I do hope they put a lot of effort in the booklet... plus it would be cool if the older songs are remastered I wonder why they chose to include IIC & WAWW from Miracle, surely not just because they were in the Vegas show? I would have thought Miracle (the song) would have been a better choice as it was a promo single, an original song, and Celine performed it live twice with David Foster on piano (on Oprah & Ellen). Maybe he didn't want Miracle on it, cos Linda wrote it? But yeah Miracle would have been a much better choice, better than WAWW anyway! I don't like the album version.
