I doubt it too, but didn't they say two weeks ago that the single would be sent to radios in two weeks? This is so crazy, maybe the best option not to go crazy like this would be to just check the official site daily and make sure that I get official confirmation...

Actually it was scheduled to be sent to radio stations in two weeks. We don't report fake info. Everything changed last week.

Exactly. I think official site should give us a concrete information right now if the album will be posponed or not. But well, it's her official site. We already know it's reputation.

The song is not out, the album is not out and you label it as the "worst comeback ever"!!

So nice to get such a positive outlook on things...

 

 

Not with the quality but with the promotion (if October 7 is true ). I mean, they are not doing anything and then all of a sudden the single is out next week! Oh my goodness......

The album has been postponed until March 2013 according to The Red Heads on Facebook. They say it was announced at a press conference from Sony UK. This undoubtedly means that the single is being pushed back as well. No Oct 7th, 2012. Probably no 2012.

I think the only other singer releasing an album in March 2013 is Mariah Carey but I wouldn't worry because her 2 latest albums were huge commercial failures.

While I know we are all dying to hear new English songs, I think this is a wise decision. I love springtime Celine albums. Like Falling Into You. She will have a better chance at getting played on AC stations. And I think the album will be more visible and stay in people's minds longer this way. Hopefully, we will still get a few sneak peeks at the English songs -- but March will be here in no time.

 

With this decision, I hope that the English album really gets solidified to be something special. I hope they keep steadily working on it/the promotion strategy. And, also, I hope the French album promotion benefits from this decision. This will allow us plenty of time to soak in all of the the fabulous French recordings coming our way IN NO TIME!

 

Now, we will have more steady, spread out Celine material -- rather than condensed Celine. Personally, it would've been a sensory overload for me to have SO MUCH CELINE at once in November. Maybe now we will hear more live performances of songs off the albums. And maybe even a mini tour in 2013!

Im glade your thinking like me! In away this is amazing news ONLY if the promotion is amazing and the english album is solid next year.

 

Who knows, we may have another top ten hit single at that time of year! For now the french album is good enough for me

Are you talking about Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and Merry Christmas II You? Because when E=MC2 debuted in 2008, she opened with 463,000 copies, which was more than twice what Celine debuted with in 2007 with Taking Chances. With those kind of numbers, I'd still count Mariah as competition, even if her first single has flopped.

Even thou I wouldn't mind having both albums out at the same time, and even thou I don't really care for them being #1 on the charts (although it would be nice, cause I am a fan and I'd love her to be on the top again) I think this is a smart choice.

I only agree when they really change the concept. If they want to release the Vegas covers, do so, but also give us something to really be happy with, meaning a full new album. If that means it takes more time, to come up with a album that only has supersongs, than I am in for it.

I agree it might be a good idea to release the Vegas covers together with the Celine 3boys and a new show dvd/bluray package!

I am glad they give us at least, something I am really looking forward at, a fantastic new French album:-)
