Breaking news: New English single has premiered today at Sony Music Conference in United Kingdom, according to Celine Dion Italia.

Celine Dion Italia just tweeted that the new English single premiered today (9/11/12) at a Sony Music UK conference. That means we should all be hearing it very soon. So we should all be hearing the new single soon. A lot of us are speculating that it will likely be Diane Warren's "Unfinished Song," which will debut in just a few days in "A Song For Marion" at the Toronto film festival.

 

Mods, please update the title to reflect the song's name when it becomes official.

I spoke to someone who was at the conference and asked what the name of the single is. He said that he's not allowed to say. Then he sent me a link to the YouTube page for W&AF, which was his way of telling me without telling me.

water and a flame is a ..okay song, now I listen to it, but it is not WOW or something. or Celine makes something wow of it, but I don't get why this song is so special that she covered it.... but then again, she will probably make something Celine-ish from it, so let's wait and see..

Oh... I really hope Céline's version of this serves up vocal clarity. I could easily hear her going into those nasally/crackly/throaty sounds like she did often in the TCWT. I was worried about that when I heard she'd be singing RITD in Vegas, too--and she proved those worries wrong! She could do some amazing things with this song. I hope that she really took it to a new level.
