"Parler à mon père" Music Video

It's gonna be interesting to see what role the guy is playing. My first thought is he's a younger version of her father. But then again, Céline's music videos aren't all known for everything having a meaning or purpose, he might as well mean nothing at all, just randomly put there.

I like the sparkles. It makes it a bit more interesting than the über boring Immensité video, which this seems to be a bit part two of though, as we suspected.

It does bother me with the changes from inside Céline to outside body double. At some parts they really made it flow well, but at most I think it's a bit too obvious.

The body double has studied Céline movements pretty well though. But I think it's obious it's not Céline since she is smaller.

Don't like the above shots, like Fernando mentioned. But I digg the magical feel of the sparkles like I said, and the chilly colour scheme.

Still think a cartoon video would had been best though, and that they'd followed through with the concept of the single. A bit disapointed actually. And now looking back I would had settled for a slightly improved lyrics video like J...-man mentioned.

Totally agree..... I don't have much to add! But yeah a cartoon would have been the best way to go..... Mais c'est la vie, n'est-ce pas?

And I suppose the body double parts are only really noticeable for us, cos we know she did that. I don't think the normal audience will see it.

 

She looks amazing though! And I can't wait for the whole video! I really wonder what the whole concept will be!

 

Guess making those magic sparkles take for ever to load with Windows Video Maker, so that's why we had to wait two months

I LOVE THE VIDEO! I just don't love the "other" people in it as this strange "boy" ... what for?!?!?! And what about her "double" - all the time I see the sequences, it comes to my mind that it's NOT her! That destroys the magic of this video. What a pity!!! I DON'T like!

If they hadn't revealed those photos showing that there was a double, we would have never known. But they're professional spoilsports even with details like that Now we're going to be paying more attention to where's the double in the video than actually enjoying it.

I have to say the atmosphere is nice, but indeed I don't get it why they release this video soooo late! The song has already been on the radio and it is over i think, would this video help making it popular again? Nice video though

The video looks quite nice with all the sparkly effects. But I do hope this is Celine's last desert video. We've had soo many now: Contre Nature & Immensité were all set in the desert, and TLDH & TC also featured it.

To be honest, the lyric video worked way better with this song. It is about missing her father and this kind of mystical video does not contribute to that feeling. Would have been way better if she was sitting on a rock watching over the sea and singing about her father, maybe with some images of the good times she had with her father and her family. Reflecting on what once was. Just like in the lyric video. Now the video is a little bit empty. There is a feeling missing. Unless the boy in the videoclip portrays someone or something?

Same here. After seeing it a couple of times now I think the first half of this clip is totally off synch and it feels as if she's miming to a totaly different song there.

Well yea, this would explain it all. Perhaps for the first English single. Can't you imagine she's singing Open Arms there??

 

Kidding. But I wouldn't be surprised if parts of this video would be the video for Didn't Know Love (and NO that is NOT official, just my fair guess) but I am not sure the "tempo" of the video as it is now would fit a ballad, but I guess that can be manipulated to fit - and yet again this is only me speculating.

But is it in real 3D? I mean... I thought I read "converted from 2D". Besides, it doesn't work for me. I have the kind of glasses used at the cinema. They don't have any particular colour, just a little darker - what are they called?!

No, it's not in 3D. That's not even their intention. It's only a YouTube convertion plugin. A lot of HD new videos has that now.
