fyoung98 Posted August 28, 2012 at 12:46 PM Posted August 28, 2012 at 12:46 PM I really hate the name calling because we don't agree on something. I don't think it's fair that members are being referred to as "prunes" (amongst other things) because we choose to not accept the fact that Celine believes it ok that she has to show skin in order to become more popular today (whether that was her reasoning or not, I don't know, but why else take them and show them to the world). I agree, they were "tastefully" done. No she was not showing her breast. Yes, she looks awesome:), but this is only the beginning. These things are usually progressive. I've stated before if left to her own devices, Celine would probably have gone a little further, to release what I believe to be the little "freakiness" in her. I believe Rene toned it down. The pictures and videos you guys are showing, I didn't agree when she did those either, so my opinion on the matter has not changed with regard to that. I think Celine flows with sex appeal when she is just being herself, when she's not trying to. But anyway, this is just one of the things I don't agree with as far as moves she has made in her career, and it probably won't be the last. I just think I or anyone else who disagrees should be called a "prune" because of it. Nando Férri Posted August 28, 2012 at 01:14 PM Posted August 28, 2012 at 01:14 PM And so what? What's new about it? When we say that we don't like the concept of an album, we are called "not real fans". There are always bilion fans saying we should stay beside her and blablabla. And now, because of some skin pictures, most of these people are judgin her. In my country we call that "hypocrisy". Quote http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4ejungtQy1r9swpco6_250.gif

Thank God someone finally said it. I've been critizised, ignored and mocked because of defending that Céline shouldn't sing that many covers and ballads and try to sing other styles in her concerts, and then I was accused for being a terrible fan for not supporting Céline in everything she does. Well, shouldn't be these same fans who claim themselves to support Céline "no matter what she does" support her TOO with this photoshoot, and whatever photoshoot she does? I said it here specifically because this is where I see it happening on the topic I commented on and I wanted to address it. When they call you "not a real fan" or whatever else, you address it where they called you that. How many hipocrisy Javito i for one have been enjoying your posts lately I can relate to what you are saying and i agree that this photo shoot was a great thing and its what ive seen most people crying out for, a change, something new. I knew as soon as i saw the pics that when i came on the forum there would be people against them, and that is to be expected. we all have different views which we think are right in ourselves. The way i see it, Celines fans can easily keep celine prisoner from doing what she wants to do, a good example is the blond hair which she liked. Celine is her own person and should be able to do what she wants and what she thinks is acceptable without her fans saying what she can do. This is something personal to her which she wanted. I for one like that we saw this side of her, i knew celine was like this, but for her to say in the interview that she does this at home, it gives us an insight into her life. She shared what she loves to do with us, the way she shares everything with us she feels is important. We all know she has gotten into fashion of late, its her way of sharing her fun of it with us. Lets not mold celine into what we want, lets appreciate what she wants kev x Quote

Get hooked on this week's bite-sized fashion news! Celine Dion Gets Sexy for V Magazine Celine Dion made us gasp and stare at the September issue of V magazine, showing unusual amounts of skin in a racy photoshoot. The "My Heart Will Go On" singer revealed a never-before-seen side of Celine, posing topless, pinned to a fence in a creepy "Donnie Darko"-inspired bunny mask, and walking around sans pants for the Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele-styled shoot. Photographer Sebastian Faena captured the images in the privacy of her Florida home, and Celine explained that this wild side is really nothing new. "I've been an open book all my life, and I think that's why people like me," Dion said during her interview with the mag. "I've been criticized for it, but I'm not forcing myself to be the person that you see." Inside the magazine, the singer also gushed about Adele, saying, "I think that her whole image is very good! The way that she is will definitely help the new generation of girls accept themselves." The 44-year-old Canadian star also commented on Whitney Houston, telling V magazine, "I was just in shock when Whitney's life had been taken because of drugs. It's a big loss for all of us." Dion's September issue hits stands Aug. 30. Read more at http://www.billboard.com/column/the-hook/h...hj0ta3YsZt2B.99 http://www.billboard.com/column/the-hook/h...rce=most_recent Quote

I've stated before if left to her own devices, Celine would probably have gone a little further, to release what I believe to be the little "freakiness" in her. Here's the thing with that though. If someone dyed their hair red, then they can't say "I don't think it's fair that someone calls me a redhead". If the shoe fits.....well you know the saying. I just can't help but think that if you saw a man walking down the street in public wearing that little amount of clothing.....that you wouldn't have a problem with it. It would be 100% acceptable to you. But now if a WOMAN does in her own home (pictures or not).....all of a sudden it's a problem. If people don't want to be called prude, then maybe they shouldn't be prude. Celine did NOTHING wrong, and if that indeed really IS who she is....it's unfair to say that she's doing it as a career move. Quote

I had posted earlier for anyone who can't get to a Barnes & Noble. I ordered copies of VEGAS magazine before leaving LV after Celine's last show. Anyway, the contact is named Dorris and the phone# is 702-990-8993 in the subscription dept. Dorris was extremely nice. The one issue price was $6.99 and shipping cost about $3.00 per issue (at least in the USA). I did not have to subscribe to the magazine. The cover is absolutely stunning. Hope this helps!
