It annoys me that she said Nicole steels the show.....Am, no she doesnt. Nicole has had plastic surgery, Celine has not, therefore CELINE steels the show. And it beats me why CELINE wasn't on the cover of the magezine !

this collection is like a musical album of 12 songs. seeing them separately, i like this pic but i don't like that pic, in this pic i like celine's face but i don't like her pose bla bla bla. but TOGETHER, they create a good coherence. i see a celine who is modern, fashionable, sexy, seductive, creative, dynamic, funny and i LOVE this new celine. she must have the same change in MUSIC too.

Yes! you are damned right! Nicole doesn't steel the show. For sure, that Nicole-pictures of Mario Testino are gorgeous too. But Celine definitely "steels the show" with these absolute new way for her doing a shooting!

You're speaking through the eyes of Iranian culture. Céline is, for all intents, American (or Canadian if you wish). Our values and norms are quite different. Sexy and dignified are not mutually exclusive. Wisdom and having fun aren't either.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. Celine is an institution. She is self-conscious modern woman with life experiences, knowledge and she has a dignity, men treat her with respect! even when they look at these images, they respect her! When people think about Celine, first association is her work and all her achievement and no one in this world can see in her a shallow, stupid woman of easy moral. Compared her with the other female singers you'll see the difference. Some of them just know how to sing and that's all, most of them don't know even how to sing. Celine is not one of those women who love to humiliate and degrade themselves, selling their body offering to everyone in every music video and they always play the role of naive, primitive, dumb blonde girl who everyone can use. Why today's female singers look cheap? most of them wearing a clothes for 3 numbers tighter and it seems like they will explode on them, they like kitsch, sings about their body, actually praising only their body like they don't have nothing in their heads. most of them are not eloquent and they don't know what it is culture and art. That's not Celine, she is opposite and That's why she can have this pictures . Any other singer would look cheap on this pictures as it looks cheap on the stage.

 

The only problem is that this pictures are not artistic.

But STOPP judging someone. You dislike also some members here, who judged you on your opinion.

And b.t.w. in your second post you are writing, that you LOVE Celine. - Please forgive me: LOVING someone means LOVING or at least respecting the things someone does and not judging the way you do.

 

And apart from that: For me it's total wisdom not doing what most of the people think you "should" do. She was soooo sad when the public "forced" her changing back her haircolor (a thing I NEVER UNDERSTOOD). I'm so happy that she finally stepped out of that crapp and do, what she finds fun to do!

The weird thing is that I am already getting used to seeing these pictures. They are not as bad as my first reaction was. Just shocking considering that this Celine seemed to be a completely unfamiliar person to me. I am still waiting for amazing albums to follow so that all that buzz these photos created will not be wasted.

OMG, I love these pictures. I love the "smiling in the mirror" one, and the one in the pool, and the one with the big hoops ear rings and side boob, lol. These pictures are amazing, and I absolutely LOVE that Celine did a photoshoot like this! Some of the photos are a little weird, but that is brilliant! Why not step outside the normal comfort zone for a photoshoot? Celine looks amazing, and it's about time the world see that.

 

I also love the Vegas shoot. That is more what we can expect. Still gorgeous though.

I gotta say, and I don't mean to be rude....

 

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that in 2012, people actually find any of these pictures even slightly inappropriate. Why is it when a woman wants to feel sexy, and free.....that's it's a bad thing? It's not like she's even showing anything! When she was like 18, or 19....we already saw her breasts in the bathtub on that TV show. Also, on the cover of "The Collector's Series Vol. 1"....you can see her nipple. Well, at least you can on the expanded version that was made into a poster.

 

People need to get it out of their heads, that nudity is somehow bad. It isn't! Unfortunately in most societies, we're raised to believe that nudity is evil, and it's not. Nudity and pornography are completely different things. Even so....there is ZERO nudity in these pictures. Men wear WAY less than this in pictures and it's completely acceptable to people. Why is it when a woman does it....it's all of a sudden a problem? What's even worse is....it's the WOMEN saying this is inappropriate. It's only certain women though, and I just don't understand their point of veiw on this. Just because a woman likes to be free....doesn't make her slutty, or even a little inappropriate.

 

Why is it everytime a woman wants to feel beautiful in a photoshoot....you always have these other women (granted a very small minority of women) who call it slutty? That's absolutely repulsive!

About the above pictures, I think it is her privacy and she has the right to do whatever right that makes her happy and I never said anything about these pics
