Sorry if this has already been discussed, but is the version of "Save Your Soul" different on the vinyl?

QVC had a bonus disc for the TCWT CD/DVD...it had some live tracks that aren't on the standard edition of that album.

Ah yes...

I'd love it if we got 5 songs that weren't anywhere - even if they were Vegas covers. Other than the ones on Deluxe and Japan editions, we know that "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "Rolling In the Deep," "Mr. Paganini" were recorded. Didn't she also record "If You Go Away" (English version of "Ne me quitte pas")? Maybe those 4 + a surprise we've never heard??

QUESTION: AS WITH REGARDS TO THE PROMOTION IN THE US.

Everyone is praising sony and celine for the string of promotional gigs in the US, surely this is impressive, however; the album is not even on sale now. What will they do the days the album officially comes out?

Isn't it awkward? Creating a buzz beforehand is great, but what will they do to extrapolate the momentum to the period the album's out?

Besides, this is totally different from their strategy for TC and SA; also heavily promoted, with big shows and stuff; slightly before or at the moment of emergence of the album.. Surely that strategy paid off really well.

Can anyone respond to this?

They've already stated their intentions to revamp their marketing strategy after the album is released. They had to work this around Celine's schedule. There's more to come!!

They didn't specify...but they did say that they will be revamping their tactics..whether that's in print, in tv etc. remains to be seen. But they have said that they are not done with LMBTL

Well, by no means she is promoting the album in the US while the album emerges.. that very day for example.

That's the first time ever!

I mean: why didn't they choose 1 november for the US, like they did for parts of Europe??

Yeah.. obviously that's not what I meant lol

Yes, there seems to be a second round of US promotions sometime in December. Probably, print or maybe, some more TV interviews. Hopefully, they'll record something for January and February as well to be released around the release of the second single. But I have a feeling she might have recorded some TV interviews to be aired around the week's release from the Press Conference she held in Florida earlier this month. That should keep the momentum going hopefully.

I believe it has something to do with the way the charts and sales are calculated...if they release an album in the middle of a chart week, they have to wait until the following chart week ends to give the album a position in the charts.

Luckily for Celine, she's such a big name that even with Little promo her album would sell well. Of course, the more promo, the better, but even when the album comes out next week, it will do good numbers. Surely, they must have their minds set on longevity of the product, so we'll luckily be seeing more things in regards to the album development.

maybe they hope it will take places on radio and tv. She just to make a little place now and we will see.
Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

Hmmm...i'm not sure what the competition was last week...and I'm not sure when her last show in Vegas was, but she's got a million other things going on that maybe they couldn't get her here to do promo, or maybe the shows were booked already and these were the dates that worked best? there are many things that could have happened, but I think they have a good handle on this! Don't you worry!!

She's doing so much this week. Makes me wonder why she didn't release the album yesterday. It seems like a major blunder on the record company's part... I feel like the Pandora thing was almost supposed to be an album release party. It would make sense. A Tuesday night concert on the day the album should've been released....

Given the light release schedule, that might sound a bit odd now, but I guess the album release week was set up a long time ago, so competition has appeared later. Sure, chart positions are great, but long-term sales are also important. And a top 3 placement on the BB200 is something a lot of artists would kill for.

I know this is a bit off-topic, but I was wondering if Alex is the only one American or Canadian coming to Paris for the MiniTour. As many people read this thread, if there's anyone else who'd like to meet for a LMBTL chat (to keep on topic :giggle:) and a non-alcoholic drink , send a PM. Edited by LuisMa
