The belt/long note in WAAF sounds very good. Loads of goosebumps, she finally hit the right mark.

 

I love her croaky Nan voice. Like I said, she did that even before Snoozedele.

But in contrast with TAKING CHANCES, her "fierce" attitude in 2007 sounded forced.. now I truly think her voice is delivering some feeling, except for the "water and a flame" where people might actually start an argument over Céline losing her voice like Whitney or something :P #ILookToYou

SONY SHUT DOWN THEIR YOUTUBE PAGE?!?!?! They actually said they wouldn't leak the album even thought they would like to get their revenge. I just didn't know what they wanted revenge for.

I listened to the songs and I think that Celine's core fans like us from this forum might have this chance, because we will buy her new album anyway. But spreading it all over the internet - NO!

I kind of like the fact that she did that on DM's song. She's like: "You wanna b**ch because i'm covering your song? well i'm gonna put some "Celine-Dion" all over that song! Take that!" hahaha

I could never warm up to "My Love"... too nasal for my taste.

 

DKL I didn't like any of the snippets, and I'm starting to like the song even though she sounds like Macy Grey during the high notes. I think her performance is 100% more convincing!

 

 

And WAAF is weird... the song is really beautiful and the choruses shine! it's during the verses that the croaky voice hurts my years a little bit. But the bridge is just :wub:

The high note, I would compare it to those of I SURRENDER more than ABM ;)

Fair play to everyone listening to the leaked tracks but after 6 years i'm happy to wait until 11th November for UK release day.

 

I'm still loving "Loved Me Back To Life" and "Somebody Loves Somebody" so that'll keep me going until I can get my hands on the CD.
