DKN is the new "My Love"

 

She sounds a little bit like Macy Gray at times :P maybe she's trying to sound like Adele, I like it, not my cup of tea but it's definitely better than what I was expecting, cuz I love the verses!

 

Now moving on to WATER AND A FLAME!

Next day, it seems that "Incredible" will also be revealed :)

For me, "Didn't Know Love" and "Water And A Flame" are really great tracks, full of vocal nuances !

According to The Red Heads, they've received the entire leaked version of the album. Of course, in Celine's best interest they're not releasing it, which I totally understand. But on the other hand.....I really want to listen to this album. I'm still buying it of course but I can't find the site anywhere!! Ugh.....

I LOVE how she added a BIG note to Water & a Flame! Take that Daniel effin Merriweather.

 

It's definitely the best part of the song... I mean I love the song but it doesn't hold a candle to the original. I'm not liking the old grandma voice :S

Still looking forward to BREAKAWAY!

I'm not feeling WAAF a lot, as expected. I don't like a lot of the vocals.

 

But I was super apprehensive about DKL, and it's gonna be played A LOT!!! I don't want to listen to it a lot, because I need some beverages, dim lights and tissues. :laugh:

 

A bit dramatic, but hell yes!

Yeah, I wish she wouldn't use the crackly grandma voice in the verses. But the chorus sounds great. She was trying to hard to sound Adelish, I think. Problem is, Celine doesn't smoke, sound she sounded more grandmaish than Adelish.

The album seems to have leaked... Not good for sales! :hmm:

 

It won't hurt sales. The only people who will even know it's leaked are people who are Celine fanatics who will probably buy the CD, the deluxe CD, and the vinyl version anyway... And the Japanese version too, probably.

"My Love" probably has more meaning to Celine than "Didn't Know Love"....I don't think the songs are similar in content at all actually.

I agree... the result was more like Whitney's latter live performances :s crack-smoker voice... And then comes the bridge and the Céline we love comes in and belts that powerful E and then C#

 

With DKL her vocal quest is not that noticeable... or the results are a little bit better... she manages to sound like Gladys Knight or that soulish voice without trying too hard.

I suggest going to the support group if you don't want to hear people talk about leaks. ;)

 

I've already ordered my vinyl copy and will be at Target on day 1 to get the deluxe version, so I don't feel a bit of shame, actually.
