And Carole's microphone wasn't off, you can totally hear her singing, in the DVD you can only hear her singing at the end of Natural Woman. But in an interview they said that Carole King was added at the last minute so the dynamics of the song wasn't rehearse with her and they weren't on the same page, that's why Aretha started singing, and then Celine, because if you noticed Carole also tried to sing the second verse.Actually Aretha is the one who wasn't there during the rehearsals. She had her assistant coming, if I remember well. Aretha knew she was singing Carole's part, saying her "Thanks" at one moment. Carole starting singing Celine's part is just her trying to sing at least once, which one can understand. But is it me or was Aretha's mic on all the time and louder than every one ? A question concerning the cassette. Is the version the unedited one ? Quote

Because to me, in these performances, Celine does the same mimics she does as when she lipsyncs...And come on, they don't do that to make people believe she lips. If they did that, it would be because Celine's staff asked to, because they thought they/she weren't happy with the performance. But I'd really like to hear the unedited versions! So, my question is, at Divas Live, did they dub her long note with the studio version, or did she actually lip the note?I'm quite positive they didn't dub the note. At worst, they just added some echo, but if they did that, it's very subtle. Quote

Some of Celine's belts were turned off during live and were added again in the undubbed version. If I remember well, Mariah's belting line after the climax was not heard much or not at all. Anyways, it was interesting. I hope someone still has it and is willing to share it! Quote
