Yes and no... Maybe if she was driving a Chrysler (too visibly) it could have been seen as a commercial and not a music video. So stations might have banned it?

Since this album came the with Chrysler promo would it not make sense to have Celine DRIVE a Chrysler in the music video of IDAN rather than just... standing there?

My thoughts exactly! I have been wondering about this since 2003 and they could have easily filmed the music video while shooting all the chrysler commercials, at the same time and on the exact same sets.

 

But I suppose that she recorded IDAN only after the Chrysler commercials were already shot, as some of that Chrysler footage is included in the Goodbye’s music video, and that was in 2002. But imagine what amazing quality the music video could have been if it was done by the Chrysler team. The commercials look high class! And she looked beautiful in these Chrysler commercials!

Now that you mention it, it’s surprising to me they didn’t include Chrysler footage in the 2 music videos they filmed for Chrysler, but instead for the one that was not… 🤔

Her hair on One Heart music video wasn’t that bad. It wad totlly different in AND show, unfortunately.

They could shoot scenes for the music videos simultaneously. In this making of, the song IDAN was already included, it was still in the development stages. It was not the final version yet, so it has probably been freshly recorded.

She looked beautiful for a long time. And she still is, of course.

 

Once Rene got sick again in 2013, I’m sure it started to take its toll on her appearance — both him being sick, her having young kids, and keeping up the Vegas show.

 

After Rene passed in 2016, it took even more of a toll. She faced so much loss and anxiety losing him — both personally and professionally.

I always thought it was weird how much she seemed to age between 1999 and 2002. Maybe it was just make up and hair being different or having a child.

I'd like someone to link an official source that IKWLI was recorded in 1999. As someone said, I don't believe it to be true, as her voice in 99 was quite awesome, and this recording is just missing something.

 

My favorite song, like most, is IDAN. Surely one of her best, and we should at least thank One Heart for coming out for that reason alone. If we can take at least one song and make it a classic and fan favorite from each of her albums, then that's a good thing. I am actually a fan of the song OH, as well as IHT.

I was waiting for the skepticals here who don't believe anything unless they're provided with a link

I remember reading a post here from 2007 saying “I Know What Love Is” doesn’t deserve to be included on the album, which i highly disagree because imo it’s one of the best songs from the album. So i’m agree with you.

 

Edit: Just read that thread and a guy said “I Know What Love Is” is a cheap ballad and she sounds bad at the climax, highly disagree, the climax is the highlight of the song imo

I became a member in 2007ish and it was quite a tricky place to be at the time. Some fantastic discussions though back then.

To be fair, when you look at Celine’s discography until that point, One Heart was kinda of a big let down. It followed FIY, LTAL, ATW and ANDHC, that is not easy.

 

The albums that came after made OH seems like a good album, but at that moment it was the worst she had ever released (for me still is, but a lot of fans here seems to really like it).

I agree, One Heart album is overall more timeless than the ANDHC album, the only tracks on this album that sounded dated even back in early 2003 were One Heart and Coulda Woulda Shoulda, these two tracks always sounded too 2001 for me but other tracks like Faith, Naked, In His Touch, Reveal, Stand By Your Side, Forget Me Not, I Know What Love Is were so fresh and modern-sounding at the time.

Because she got skinny in 2003 with the amount of exercise she did before doing the show. Then, she dyed her hair and cut it short.
