I watched a documentary on HBO Max where it said that I Drove All Night reached number one in 16 countries (single)

And that Céline recorded the song with the flu.

I think this album is her most underrated gem in her catalog…. The timing of the Las Vegas show was a shame because a tour with songs from ANDHC and OH would’ve been a huge moment in my opinion. I would’ve rather she toured the world with those two albums instead of TC.

Sometimes I forget that ANDHC and OH were a bit neglected because of Vegas.

I think that tour would have been massive and would change the image of the ballad singer.

I agree. At that time Celine had a string of successful up-tempo songs in TTWII, IA and IDAN. Also, ANDHC was so much softer than the 90s power ballads. Had she toured the world her image would change, I think. Plus, she would get the chance to perform some other fantastic up-tempo songs from that era like SFL, Naked, Reveal. HYEBIL was a contractually obligated single for Chrysler. This comes up so often on this forum with this fact constantly being neglected. It wasn’t that they CHOSE HYEBIL over “Reveal.”

Lol who knows, René usually made sure she’d sing enough new songs in her tours back in the day.

The version of SFL on ANDHC, funny enough is a remix. The "2003 Version" is actually the original. Should have been released as a double single. Could have been the final single from ANDHC, leading into a pre-release single from One Heart. The dance version would have been a hit across multiple platforms, and the ballad would have also done well on the Adult Contemporary charts.

Yes, her team fcked big time. Both albums could've been bigger than they're actually are.

omg can you imagine. A tour of ANDHC and OH, full of bops and dance songs in 2003 until 2004.

Then she could start the residency in the end of 2004 to 2007.

Hearing One Heart, Naked, and Reveal live must've been a pleasure to the ear.

The problem of the 1st residency was

The 5 years instead of 3

She was not allowed to perform outside of vegas

 

She could have done like 10/20 shows per year outside of vegas to promote the albums, not in a raw,

 

The singles were not well chosen

 

Anyway her career after 2000 were not well planned like they did in the 90s

 

They waste an opportunity with 3 great amazing albums

 

Like a mini French tour with 1f&4t -2/3 nights in Paris

The changes is pretty much the same like in Taking Chances album in Dolby Atmos

 

More elements, added instrumentals, louder background vocals, extended echo effects, cleaner bass.

 

Main vocals is pretty much the same.

 

It sounded fuller.

The European version doesn't have it.

Ok, I'll continue to keep an eye out for a "clean" version, so!

 

(I don't hate it enough to pay much for a copy since it's obviously about the music, but if I randomly come across one I'll certainly pick it up to assuage my aversion to such horrifically overt mercenary proclivities. Just didn't want to be expending any energy on it if it didn't exist in the first place...) :)
