Maybe when/if Celine returns (whenever that might be), the fans will get more input into what her shows look like. It would be nice to start seeing other oldies return (i.e. "Misled," "That's The Way It Is," "Nothing Broken But My Heart"), and see the inclusion of songs which have never been performed live (i.e. "Then You Look At Me," "Stand By Your Side," "A cause"). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Rene may not have always been the one to reject ideas, but from what I know, he certainly wasn't all that much of a risk taker when it came to the artistry side of things. He was always a business person. He constantly rejected the idea of having songs get new arrangements. (It wasn't until much, much later that Celine's shows started getting some new sounds to her older hits.) Furthermore, he relegated "My Heart Will Go On" to always being a show's closing number. (Celine wanted it as the opening song for "Celine.") So, while I do agree Rene has been a great visionary on the business side of things, I wouldn't exactly say he has been a visionary when it comes to making things all that artistic. (Maybe him urging Celine to give "My Heart Will Go On" a second chance could be the exception to this.) 1 Quote

It would be the perfect number to replace "Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)." As I've said before, it could be a segment which consists of dedications to ALL her family and friends. Then, the James Bond medley could be removed to make way for two or three other songs -- IN FULL. (Preferably ORIGINALS.) This is probably where I would place "Somebody Loves Somebody" and "Fade Away." I would remove Barnev's version of "Spinning Wheel." It its place, I would place a segment of the show reserved specifically for "International Fan Favorites." This would give Celine a moment to perform either "Think Twice" [u.K.], "Be The Man (On This Night)" [Japan], "I Love You, Goodbye" [Philippines], "Falling Into You" [Australia], etc. This slot would also be the section when "The Power Of The Dream" would be performed during years in which the Olympics are being held in lieu of the "International Fan Favorites" segment. 3 Quote

I'm tired of her songs being butchered to heck. I'd rather have less songs in a show, but have the ones that are present be performed IN FULL. I would SO welcome "the forgotten verse" in "The Power Of Love" to be performed. The same for "It's All Coming Back To Me Now." Definitely agree ! I highly prefer the full versions of TPOL and IACBTMN than the radio edits. I had the chance to be at the Bercy shows last year, and though I found the medley LCMM/RDMH really well done, I'd rather prefer to have both in full.Especially when she directly starts LCMM with "Ocean deep and mountain hight they can't stop us..." that sounds a bit odd. I've wanted her to sing TCOML again for AGES now. She did so many beautiful performances of it in '93-'94, and then stopped. And it's her wedding song!
