If you watch a bootleg video from the actual show, you can hear that the music when Celine sings "we ask that life be kind" doesn't start at the right time, and Celine looks at the orchestra before singing her line in time with the music, even though it's later than it should be. In the DVD they edited this problem, so the timing is a lot better, but Andrea's line "La forza che ci dà" has been altered, and if you listen carefully it sounds like he is singing "La la la forza che ci dà". I think it was more obvious in this promo video than the final DVD version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZUdWQcJn-o...feature=related As for the drums, live arrangements give them the freedom to add whatever they want! In regards to her voice, it's certainly the best it's been for a very long time, although I think her best performance of The Prayer is still the World Children's Day Concert in 2002 - that performance was perfection from start to finish, as her voice was very strong and powerful that night. This Central Park performance is definitely very good, possibly her 2nd best performance (the only negatives are that she sounded nasal on certain words that should be really soft and quiet "where we'll be SAFE", and she sounded a bit tired in the more difficult second half of the song). The great thing about this performance is that it's in the same key as the WCD performance (-1 semitone from the original), unlike the 2008 CBS Special & TCWT which was -2. There is one live performance in the original key, and that is the Oscars 1999, but Celine struggled more towards the end of the song. The TCWT performances in Europe were very good, but by the time she was in the US things got worse... Thanks timster!I think i hear it now, but its very very subtle, you guys have good ears! And thanks for that detailed response. Yeah she's great at world children's day but Josh Groban kind of ruins it for me. Just heard him sing Smile on Regis and Kelly in honnor of some people who past away... maybe i should just not comment on that. lol Its great that you know about semitone and stuff like that ...Anyway, that voice is still really pure and clear to me, and i love that she decided not to make that many performances in vegas.... I think it just makes her use her vocal cords so that she doesnt loose them. Hope she keeps surprising us like this for many many years to come. I cannot wait to see what she's going to deliever for her new album. After the edgy taking chances, the sleepy Miracle, the pop genre One heart and the refreshing music danse-like of ANDHC, i wonder if she'll go back to the power ballads. I hope so. Not only Celine and Andrea's part, but all of the songs were breathtaking. I loved the choir. And I don't know if I am wrong, but was our redhaired celinedionforum-star who has been on Oprah twice and met Celine twice, also there? I think I saw her on the video!
