Not at all! I honestly thought the same thing but it was very classy and kind of edgy. I really wasn't excited about a Bond medley but it was probably one of my many favorite moments of the show. Some people may have different opinions about this after seeing the show for themselves but I thought it was very classy and a great addition to the show. I also forgot to mention how cute the opening video was to the Bond medley! There's a small countdown on the screen in a black circle (it's kinda hard to explain lol). At one point the circle turns around and it is one of those circular chairs with a video of Rene Charles sitting in it in a suit looking adorable! I don't know how many people got it in the audience but I laughed cause I just loved it! I don't know if any of that made sense so everyone will probably just have to see it to get the full effect OMG spellbound i know that we dont stop asking you questions but how was her hair? curly? straight? does she look hot? hahaha haha keep asking questions, I love it and really don't mind! Her hair was curly/wavy, similar to how it has been in the past. It was actually kind of similar to how it was at the oscars but not quite as neat and put together. and of course she looks hot haha she's in great shape and is showing it off! I honestly think it could be the best she's ever looked! They even allow iPhone4 inside? So you can even get HD video. They honestly didn't even look at my phone, but you can definitely get it in, I just wouldn't hold it out in plain sight I guess to be safe. So technically if you were really good at hiding the fact that you're videoing it, we could probably get away with it. Its much harder to hide it though when you're holding it up. I had mine hidden in my purse which was on the ground in front of my chair, there was no way they were going to see it. How many people attended the rehearsals? It was not a packed house was it? It was actually completely packed! There was not an open seat in the house at the start of the show, there was a good number people who left early though (like in the last third of the show probably). Maybe it was because the show started so late and they were tired but that is no excuse in my opinion! haha it just shows how lousy the crowd was, very unresponsive and just dead which was driving me crazy! That's what I think it was, a lot of people were there because they just happened to get tickets through their work or family. A lot of people high up in the business world, especially in Vegas, were there and the probably don't usually spend their Tuesday nights late out on the strip so I understand that but it was still surprising. Tuesday is just going to be a different show, the audience has so much of an impact I can honestly see her being overwhelmed with the love that I know is going to be there. They'll be lucky if they ever get us to sit down! Talking about the bond medley I think they use the whole orchestra for those songs!!What about the high notes in the songs Goldfinger and Diamonds are forever, are they in? I LOVE the Shirley Bassey songs!!Always imagined Celine singing them! :-) They do use the full orchestra, it's incredible! And of course the high notes are in there, at the end of each of those songs she hits some great notes. I really did love this medley, much more than I expected! That song has to be protected under a 100 page legal contract of copyright clauses to prevent its use for the next 20 years And someone should revise with Céline her own discography to pick some other uptempo song to replace it-there are many other GREAT ones, I won't get tired of saying this I don't either see big difference with the orchestra except for RDMH (the trumpets are really there ), but I guess we cannot judge from a bootleg mp3 (though again, the quality is amazing) And folks! This isn't the set list to complain about too few uptempo tracks. It's an orchestra behind her. Ballads are a given. my... couple of cents /fred Much as I adore the majority of her uptempo songs, I also admit that. It's hard to put an uptempo song with a full orchestra behind, so it looks this show will serve to show off her ballads repertoire.
