It really was incredible! The lady next to me kept handing me tissues cause I couldn't help but cry

All by myself was amazing as well! her voice sounded just as great and she was really in her element, i'm kicking myself for not recording that one along with a bunch of the other songs cause it was a performance to remember!

I really expecting to hear ABM, is my favorite song, and I think the high note sounds amazing with her voice in top shape and the song sounds too heavenly with orchestra.... :wub: :cry:

do you remember if Celine end the song in the floor? like in "Taking Chances Tour" :giggle:

Exactly. Her voice came through pretty clear on the recording but I've listened back to it several times and my phone really didn't pick up much of the orchestra. Granted they don't use the entire orchestra for the entire show, they rotate certain instruments/people in and out of the show for each song, but the orchestra really is stunning so my guess is it's just not as amped as her voice so it may be hard to capture on a phone or simple camera. It wasn't used though throughout the MJ medley but you can hear pieces of the orchestra, especially the horns section, during DOL.
I just had it in my purse and they did search my purse but not closely at all. Most people had phones in the theatre. I honestly don't think even if they had seen it that they would have collected it. Everybody has a phone and it's just not realistic nowadays to expect to collect everybody's phone because that would take too long. They tell people once they're in the theatre to be sure to turn off their phones and some security will tell you to even put it away before the show if they see you on it before the show even starts. You can definitely get it in the theatre though, I may try to record the whole thing during the opening too

When i went to see Celine in 2008 security checked my purse, but i put a bunch of tampons and pads at the top of my purse and my cell phone at the buttom. The guy must have thought i was pretty open and honest after that, cuz he didn't bother to check out the rest. :laugh: Just a little tip for any girls out there. LOL. :laugh:

Was Open Arms, sang in full?

Where Did The back-up singers stand? Did they ever stand by Celine on stage? and is Mary-lou gone for sure and replaced by the black girl?

Did Celine ever sing by her band or was she always just on stage by herself and them behind her?

and no technical effects in the show?

Pretty sure Open Arms was in full, but I was in tears for the majority of this number so it's a little fuzzy lol :blushing1:

The back up singers were in different places throughout the show. At first they were each on a stool next to each other on stage left I believe. They were on a platform with the orchestra that was behind Celine. Throughout the show they were in various places though so at one point there were two on one side and just one on the other. They were always behind her though, not like in AND where they were up in front of the stage in a pit. And yes Mary-Lou was gone and the black girl was there instead last night. Felt like part of the family was gone :cry:

As for the band, most of the time they were behind her, but for the Ella number she was sitting with them on a small platform. A couple individual musicians would come up front with her as well like in AND for some of the numbers like LCMM/RDMH.

And what do you mean by technical effects? They used the screens a lot along with some amazing lighting effects and the chandelier/hanging stars. She was never on a lift or moving staircase like AND. The only time she was slightly lifted was the beginning of Goldfinger and I thought they were going to raise her higher, but it was only one step and she just walked forward and down off the lift, it was kind of anticlimactic lol.

It was a combination of both actually, she did spin the mic stand but you could tell she was a little rusty for it wasn't as smooth as it was on the tour. She diid have some of the same steps though as in AND as far as dancing with the mic stand and the footwork. It looked great and will probably look even better on Tuesday with an even more energetic crowd.

I really hope she keeps it in too! I've always loved her live version! and she didn't end on the floor, that would have been very difficult considering the dress she was wearing haha it was the white one with a really high slit on the leg, she was struggling with it while sitting for At Seventeen cause it kept falling open and revealing all of her leg, she was hilarious about it though commenting on how she had no idea how she was going to control the dress :laugh:

It was kind of hard to tell so I'm not 100% sure but I honestly think it was live. The songs that are usually pre-recorded sounded different last night so they were either live or there's a slight possibility she recorded a new track, but from how everything sounded I really do think it was live! It's possible this could change from rehearsals to opening night but fingers crossed!

For me, I love the, as I've called it, the "Love" medley. I know I am in the minority but I will always love LCMM and I think it flows well with the medley. So excited for this show! Thanks spellbound!

No, for BATB the stage was nearly empty with only Celine on it. She began to sing the song and Barnev was sitting alone on a stool on a platform backstage that was moved out onto the stage right before his part began. He got off the stool and started singing his part as he walked over to stand with her at center stage.

I certainly don't remember anything 3D but maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention but you'd think that'd be pretty obvious and hard to miss lol. I didn't think anything was real state of the art, just a lot of really cool effects. The large screen in back with all the screens along the side of the auditorium were really cool so it's possible that they are using new technology for those for they really are pretty amazing.

And that's such a hard question!! haha there were so many amazing moments in the show but I loved WDMHBT since I had never heard it live and honestly a moment/song I will always remember is Ne me quitte pas (If You Go Away). I didn't understand the majority of the song but it was so intense and emotional. You could tell how much emotion and power she put into it cause like I said in the review, she began whispering parts of it cause she was getting choked up and couldn't fully sing the words. I hope it will be just as emotional in the show because it was truly moving.

the only thing i dont really like is when shes trying to sound like michael jackson when she sings man in the mirror... i know shes having fun but still.... but the rest of the audio sounds pretty good

haha it was probably the long black sparkly dress she wore for the Bond medley. It was very slinky and glamorous, perfect for James Bond. She looked stunning!

It was a simple opening, the curtain just barely parted so you could only see her. After she sang the first few lines, the big curtain was pulled away and the white one behind it fell away and the orchestra was revealed and the full arrangement really kicked in. The film before the song gives a pretty good build up so it's going to be quite a sight opening night when the audience cheers when she first appears.

I have an iphone4 which I just got recently and it gets way better sound recordings than my past phones, I'm going to have to start recording concerts I go to more often cause I've been listening to these recordings over and over now since I put them on my computer haha

They even allow iPhone4 inside? So you can even get HD video.

i cant stop listening to the songs...i do feel that shes really putting herself in the songs like never before! its not fake like in the TC world tour..i found that in the last tour she was a bit facking emotions and overdo everything but now i found back my celine from 90s!!!
