celinerific Posted September 6, 2011 at 11:03 PM Posted September 6, 2011 at 11:03 PM Because we're too cool for their pools. We're so cool we are ICE COLD! YEYE. But I've also heard it's trending. It's now become (at least in my generation) cool to love Celine Dion because of how uncool she is lol. She's so uncool that it makes us cool to love her. Imma holler to that! *fist pump* Quote http://i58.tinypic.com/2qbub9c.png @ErikaTran | Insta: aireexwp | erikatran.com

celine-rc Posted September 7, 2011 at 12:06 AM Posted September 7, 2011 at 12:06 AM I don't want to do what everyone is doing! But I guess it's a good thing if there are more and more people who like her. VintageCeline Posted September 7, 2011 at 02:20 PM Posted September 7, 2011 at 02:20 PM ....Because some Celine fans are beyond obsessed. It is one thing going to concerts, hoping to meet her and buying her music/merchandise etc, but when they feel like they are seriously losing at life when they haven't had their ''moment'' yet, is a bit silly. 95% of the people that I have met through Celine are lovely, NORMAL people that enjoy doing things that don't involve Celine in their every breathing minute, but then there are that 5% who take it to the next level. Hate messages, bitching online and generally being strange really. Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/94198518f8a09aef1d336d6fde8fc8b3/tumblr_mkdcezs36X1r7lwiso1_400.jpg
Solan Posted September 17, 2011 at 05:39 PM Posted September 17, 2011 at 05:39 PM When I tell a French person that I like Celine, the response is always positive. Even if the person is not a fan himself or herself, they'd say "I don't mind her music. She's very talented." But when I tell someone who's only familiar with her English songs, it's pretty much always negative. It depends on who I talk to, but usually it's like "I want to strangle her, sorry" or "Oh God, are you serious?" etc. I think she has two images with her music. She's respected by the French and considered a living legend whereas the average English speaking person wouldn't think much of her or her music. That's my experience anyway. But whatever the case may be, I'm always proud of the music and movies I like. I don't really care if whoever I talk to don't like what I like. If they are my friends, they share stuff with me, if all they're interested in is to show me how much better they think their tastes are, then I don't spend anymore time with them. Fortunately for me, my friends like to share stuff with me. One of my friends actually despises Celine's music but since I'm a fan, he is more than happy to talk about her with me and he even share my excitement when something good happens. If you're surrounded by people with good personalities, you'll be fine. Quote
