Actually, the song is not that ridiculous when you understand the lyrics. Sardou created this song back in the 80's. He was then talking about the woman revolution, what they wanted to have, and the lonnnnng way they had to go to have it. It was just the beggining of an activist feminism by that time.

20 years later, the song is still a hit, very full of meaning, and everyone knows it here in France. Laurent Wolf asked Sardou if he could do a new club mix of the song. Sardou said "why not? but I'll change the lyrics, coz' I want them to fit with women's situation today." And that's what he did. In this new version of the song, he says that twenty years later, women now have to be everywhere, on every front: working girl, loving wife, devoted mother, etc... He says that they're constantly on the run, with no time left to think about them. And he talks about the fact that for a same job, women are still being less paid than men are. Which is sadly true by the way. No, really, this song is not that bad. A true society song.

I am very excited for this duet!! I misunderstood Sardou's humour at first, but now that i know he was just joking i have moved on from judging him. I feel bad that i judged him, without knowing the whole story, i just assumed he was a jerk cuz of the stories i heard about him being pissed off to travel to Jupiter Island to record the song with Celine. Later i found out he was joking cuz he lives in Florida.

 

I don't think we should judge the song. We havn't even heard it yet. I think we should give the song a chance, just because Michel Sardou is older that doesn't mean the song won't be great. We as human beings all judge. We judge on age, looks,gossip Ext.., but as i have learned from this experience, we should all try not to judge until we know everything.

 

When we have heard the song, then we can judge and give our opinions, but we don't even know what the song is like yet. It could be great, who know's until we hear it.

 

I'm very happy about this duet cuz i get to hear a new song from Celine. We havn't had anything new in over 4 months, so i'm just thrilled we finally get something new and Hay, Celine is pregnant in the song. There could be a vid of her pregnant belly.

 

Even if the song is a flop, we can always look back and remember that Celine was pregnant with her twin boy's when she sang that song.

Oh, wow!! I didn't know there was so much history behind that song. That's cool how the song goes back to the early 80's and it's still populare, I'm learning more about this guy. I respect him for singing about woman like that, sticking up for there rights as people on this earth. Not many men would admit how woman get sterio typed.

 

I never new how populare he was. Until this duet with Celine, i didn't even know who Michel Sardou was. I think it's so cool how Celine introduces her fans to different artist's that we may have never known about, if not for there talents crossing paths.

Well, it's not about understanding. I understand the lyrics. It's the song itself. An old man in the middle of young girls surrounded by that L- Wolf sound. The whole package looks absurd and for me, riducule. Maybe it fits him, but when i think Celine would be in it i would cry

I can't believe there isn't any pics yet. What's going on. I don't know how there can be know pics leaked, since Celine hasn't been out for so long. This is very strange. I thought for sure we would have pics by now.
