my friend is the biggest Madonna fan and he throw her latest album right into a rubbish (not literally), so stop talking bullshits about not being a real fan and so...

even Celine will give us a more sense of understanding about it

That album still could be best ever, we judge only those three songs, so be calm

I speak french fluent, anyway I think the 3 songs we have up to now are really not as good as Celine could be. I hope better songs on the album... because if we wait 5 years for that, she simply could stop her french career.

 

After 32 years of being active & recording albums, she's allowed to make ''mistakes''. Not to mention most people liked the songs so...

I loved both of the snippets we got. Yes Vegas has done a number to her voice, but also as she ages her voice changes. She has a family now, she is not going to put herself through the intense disciplinary measures she used to (not talking for days) in order to live by her voice's rules. But now she is able to put much more emotion in her voice from her growth in her personal life. And that is a beautiful thing! Can't wait to hear more in November!

OK - and you and your fellow 'critical spirits' can judge this after having listened to two new songs, both in rather bad quality? Come on...

 

I think especially "La mer et l'enfant" sounds very promising: very simple and subtle, the kind of style that (if combined with great lyrics and a thoughful interpretation by Celine, as it seems to be the case) is just great. But I will not make a definite judgment before listening to the whole album, in good sound quality.

 

So, stop your whining, moaning, complaining... at least until you have listened to the whole thing. Otherwise, all this pseudo-criticism will appear as even more ridiculous than usually...

Respect the opinion of others ok? I'm not talking just about the new album (the first 3 songs I do not like, cover is terrible),D'elles for me is also not a great ,same TCH.So, I believe that she will not recording anything AMAZING as in the '90.On earlier albums,I had almost 100% satisfaction,now maybe 1-2 song I like Only like ,it's not enough for me.

the leaked songs are incredible! and very different from what celine has used us to.. i love the edginess and powrful voice in the one, and the subtle mediterranean style melody of the second.. and her singing... so mature, so colourful, using different and - so interesting - areas and ranges! looking froward to...

Well I have only heard the lead single and with her French albums I prefer to wait for the whole album and listen that way. I don't understand much French, so It's not of grave importance for me to hear snippets or a song the second it's leaked. I'm more patient. I'm looking forward to it, especially if it is different from what she's done in the past. Her French music is so emotional and more passionate than her English recordings. Céline said in one of the interviews that "Sans Attendre" means not to postpone to tomorrow what you can do today. So I listened to the leaked songs!!!

We don't know if we'll be here tomorrow so listen to them TODAY!!

Some people only focus on the negative side, it's tiring to see it over and over again. If u don't like it you could simply stop listen to her music and don't buy the CD, no one force you to buy the CD.

But God that CD Cover Art is awful....i dislike the way the character is stooped over all jangly knees.....reminds me of the character Mrs Overall (fictional Character from acorn antiques).

Here is the translation for the description of each song published in the Journal de Montréal :

 

Parler à mon père / Talk to my father:

A truthful song that gave birth to the first video from the album. Celine, who loves dealing with art design, decided to put in charge a team of professionals including French director Thierry Vergnes.

Celine speaks everyday to her father. Since he passed away, he's remained right inside her heart. "He lives in me, I live with him", she confesses.

 

Le Miracle / The miracle:

"I believe in miracles", says Celine, referring in particular to the birth of her children. "Life is full of miracles. [...] It's up to us to help them surround us and carry us.

"Miracle is everywhere, my love", goes the song. "It's up to you to see it".

 

Qui peut vivre sans amour / Who can live without love:

Three songs from french songstress Elodie Hesme appear on the album. Magic words that ring in our ears even before singing them. "Love does all the dirty work. Locks up pure souls in dungeons, breaks princesses in castles [...] But who can say that he can live without love? Who?"

 

L'amour peut prendre froid / Love can catch a cold:

A duet reuniting two of the greatest voices in the music industry, Celine and Johnny, whose voices unite harmoniously.

 

 

Attendre / Waiting:

This song inspired Celine the name of the album, Sans Attendre: "Waiting without loosing faith, to take the road we've decided to take...", she hums for a few seconds in the interview. Sometimes, we say: "All good things come to the ones who waits. It's kinda like that."

 

Une chance qu'on s'a / Thank God we have each other:

Celine and Jean-Pierre Ferland spent some unique moments in the studio."The most beautiful encounter of my life", would say Ferland. Celine and Rene, in private, often tell each other "Une chance qu'on s'a" ("Thank God we have each other"). Jean-Pierre is proud of this song : « When a singer like Celine Dion immortalizes it with her talent, I can say : « My God, I wrote it well ! »

 

La mer et l'enfant / The sea and the child :

Celine loves Grand Corps Malade's poetry. As a new father, the french writer used a feminine point of view, to write this text, that goes : « I am the sea/mother, you are the child. No link is stronger. You are the sand, I'm the ocean. You are my only shore . »

 

Moi quand je pleure / Me, when I cry :

« Of Celine, the image I had in mind was that of a woman crying on many public appearances, like a river. » « I'm writing for a great soprano with the greatest skills », stays Stanislas.

 

Celle qui m'a tout appris / The one who's taught me everything :

When she heard this song intended for her, Celine's mother, Thérèse Tanguay, she burst into tears. « This is the most wonderful thing a mother could hear », she confesses. Veneruso co-directed the album and arranged most of the songs.

 

Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour / I don't need love :

A song 100% « quebecoise », written and composed especially for Celine by Jean-Pierre Ferland and Daniel Mercure, that is about the great gift that is family.

 

Si je n'ai rien de toi / If I have nothing (left?) from you :

One of the first three songs that was submitted to Celine Dion, this is the one that inspired her to make this album. David Gategno wrote the music for 4 songs besides producing them.

 

Que toi au monde / Only you in the world :

One of the the greatest songs written by Luc Plamondon. It relates the story of a soldier ( son or lover ), that goes to war and comes back battle-scarred. « We resumed our collaboration where we had left it, says Celine. It's great. »

 

Les petits pieds de Léa / Lea's tiny feet :

Marianne L'Heureux et Jean-François Perreault, working for Productions J , lost their child to a rare chromosomal disease. The result is a really touching song, written by the mum and Sophie Vaillancourt, one of french-canadian Deal or No Deal's beauties. Celine, having lost a child herself, has a very tough time recording it in the studio.

 

Tant de temps / So much time :

« My husband had been dreaming to make this song a duet with Celine. That's her gift to him », says the wife of late Henri Salvador. « Mister Salvador was a very sensitive human being, with extraordinary charisma, says Celine. Singing with him was very touching. Like a love ghost […] This is a jewel on the album. »

I need to respect your right of having and stating your opinion, but I don't agree that I also have to respect your opinion itself, especially if it is based on such dodgy grounds. If someone claims that the sun moves around the earth, I think nobody would expect those around this person to "respect" this opinion.

 

But this is not the point: Believe it or not, I am not a "fanatic fan" and I think that many things Celine has done are not that good or even crap. To give you a flavour of my personal opinion, this includes many songs on "A new day has come" and "One Heart".

 

But I would never judge after listening to just two extracts - this just doesn't make sense. It's like a jury or a judge who is supposed to question 15 witnesses and then decides to make a ruling after listening to only two. It is utterly irrational, to not use a less polite word.

 

And to say that since 2000 (for 12 years), you have only liked 1-2 songs on each of Celine's albums - well, I would say it is a pity then that you still even bother to listen to her music. There are acts that I liked 12 years ago and that I don't care for anymore, because my taste in music has developed into a different direction than their art - so I stopped buying their stuff. And if I like a song, I just download this song.

 

But hey, I do respect your right of doing whatever you like - it's your money and your time. But I hope you can understand that under such circumstances your point of view doesn't carry that much weight...

I really hope you are not responding to my post - because if you did, this would mean that you haven't understood a word of what I was saying:

 

It is of course fine to not like these three songs (although I would personally disagree), but it is premature to judge the whole album, with all its 16 songs, on this tiny sample.

 

I can also reassure you that I am calm, although reading such ill-mannered and nonsensical posts like yours could change that. And I have absolutely no idea what this whole Madonna story is supposed to tell me - but hey, I guess this isn't a big loss.

The album seems so coherent and personal, each song has its special meaning (Family bonds, love, loss) and they all blend nicely together. Celine is the only female singer I can think of that can really pass those messages to the public. I'm even more excited about the album now! I don't even care if WAAF with all its randomness and unoriginality is pushed back to 2014..! (You can all now slay me for this last statement )

Have you ever ordered from that site? I would like to know how strong they pack the item, since the deluxe edition is in digipack. And I've heard that Amazon.fr packages are not strong enough for digipack, it may causes digipack damage.
