I just found this. It says that Céline is going to release a new album in April and that there's going to be a TV special with footage from her childhood and the preparation for her Vegas show. They say that Céline is going to be with Natasha St-Pier. They say that Céline has accepted to do three shows for the promotion of her French album; one on TF1, one with Druker, and a show for the fans from Belgium and Switserland. It's should be aired in May.

I don't know how accurate this is but I guess that the more we have that says the same thing, the better it is.

Cool news! :clap: Surely, May 7th is unrealistic but who said the album will be relased on that day?

A special will be aired so I guess the album itself will be released somewhen in May too.

A special for TF1 and a special with Drucker? I suppose they are talking about one and same thing as Drucker's specials were always aired on TF1.

Now I'm curious what they mean by a special for Belgian and Swiss fans....?

And could someone please tell me whether, after all, Céline dropped the idea of writing songs for her new French album? Because not long ago I read somewhere (guess it was at Red Heads) that she's postponing the release of her new French album for late 2011 because she'd like to write the songs by herself.

(Please, orgive me if this has already been discussed/answered here but reading 17 pages is way too much for me right now so i really hope someone can just clear it up for me!)

The article says IN APRIL Celine launches her new French record. The TV special is set to be shown in May.

The article seems pretty reliable and I hope and pray that it really happens. I think a new single should be out to the radios around mid-Feb like ESNRQ and digital/physical around beginning of March. Let the first single cater the sales of the album for about a month, and then when she has off around May, go promote the hell out of it in Europe and drop the second single, hopefully, an up-tempo one for the summery feel with a few remixes thrown in.

Damn, what a wonderful piece of news right before I go off for my classes! :cheer:

I agree it's reliable but weird source. I wonder when they will give official news because firstly they always write the there will be another album and later about new single coming so the process should begin soon

yeah that's true, but it would take forever for the physical single to be released (if there ever will be! :dots: )

but with ZS/SISDA and TLDH/1F4T the dates between single and album releases weren't so far apart :confused:

but most of all it depends when Céline has time and energy to record the songs

For "D'elles" we had the album in May and the first single on Valentine's Day (February).

That was the strangest move in Céline's career for a single release -_- Much as I would love to hear new material from her asap, I hope they won't repeat that again :ermm:

What?! "Tout L'Or Des Hommes" was serviced to the radio on August 27th: http://www.celinedion.com/node/28529 and the album was released in October. So...

According to CineTeleRevue, Celine will be in Europe next Spring to promote her upcoming French album.

Personally I doubt there may be a physical single... Or if yes than really only for the first single...

As much as I love singles, there are less and less singles being released...

Celine has so far, always, released at the very least, a lead single for her albums. I am gonna keep expecting to get one this time too. It would be a terrible thing for an artist as collectible as Celind not to release physical singles. But at the same time, I too can see where the industry is heading. But you gotta stay positive.

The writing her own album thing was never confirmed to any great degree, but I'd expect there could certainly be at least one self composition in there. And I really want to here Celine record Entre Deux Mondes too.

I'm preparing myself to say adiós to the glory days of collecting too :rolleyes: (I lie, I'm not prepared at all :laugh: :cry: :cry: )

I guess we'll have to stick with those horrible PVC plastic promos without any artwork (if they release any)... or at the best, some promotional single in card sleeve. But I'm not sure if I could stand another collecting-hunting like the one for Immensité or A Cause promos (I don't have any of them still). That gives me headache :sick: :blink:

A Céline TV Special on RTL-TVI (the most watched channel in francophone Belgium) has also been confirmed here:

I think this mini European promotion is really what Céline needs here. OK she usually has a TV special on TF1 but what about Belgium and Switzerland?

So the special for belgium will contain the footage of her childhood and Vegas. Then we get the TF1 special and a interview with Drucker i think. Seems logic for me, but i'm curious where she will record these shows!!

I love these rumours, think it's a matter of a few weeks before we get a new single, around her Vegas première i think!

I'm definitely sure Celine will not visit our place aside from she hasn't visited our country yet, but for the very fact that we don't speak nor understand french.

But if she comes to out place, I'd definitely watch her show even if i don't understand the french songs that she sings.

to see her in person is a dream come true.
