Javito Posted February 11, 2013 at 05:29 PM Posted February 11, 2013 at 05:29 PM As much as I like LAPPF, I don't think it needs to be a single. But especially, I don't think Céline needs Johnny's help to keep this album successful. She doesn't need a duet to keep this album's promotion, she just needs to defend her own songs and promote them, believe in them (wish she applied this same to her english career ) 4 Quote "Hush, now... c4n4d4 Posted February 11, 2013 at 06:14 PM Posted February 11, 2013 at 06:14 PM (edited) Supposed music video for this single. Can anyone verify? It's said to be done once she is bac in Vegas. Boy Posted February 11, 2013 at 11:00 PM Posted February 11, 2013 at 11:00 PM I'm SO GLAD they didn't pick L'amour peut prendre froid as 3rd single... It might do well on the charts but I just don't feel that song. One of my least favorites on the album, probably thanks to Johnny aha, same with me. i really don't like Johnny's voice, even his duets with those artists i luv Quote Love comes to those who believe it...

Peppercorn1991 Posted February 11, 2013 at 11:49 PM Posted February 11, 2013 at 11:49 PM I think this news came earlier than expected on the website due to all moaning and complaining about how quiet they are! TBH i have more respect for the website with the recent responses, although nothing new, you can tell their hands are tied. kev x Quote

mike_z Posted February 12, 2013 at 03:14 PM Posted February 12, 2013 at 03:14 PM PAMP is a modern hit! We'll see what "Qui" does for this album. It could be Céline's most successful french single in a whilr.. And maybe oprn the door to "Attendre" 4 Quote

fikus1 Posted February 13, 2013 at 03:31 PM Posted February 13, 2013 at 03:31 PM I think that the worst thing for us - the fans - is the fact that while Celine was promoting "Sans Attendre", she sang live only during her TV Special in Canada. However, even then some songs were lipped. Bambi Awards and no live version of "Ne me quitte pas"? Oh, come on! Do you agree with me? 1 Quote
zuv Posted February 13, 2013 at 03:55 PM Posted February 13, 2013 at 03:55 PM I think the reason why she sang live for the canadian tv show, is because last time people ( not us, because we know that she has been lipping every single album special, so it wasnt a surprise) complained that D'elles special was entirely liped. They even wrote about in the newpapers and René had to respond. So, there, we got our first tv album special sang 95% live because people finally realized after 30 yrs that she was lip synching. Lol No one complained in France, so... Quote
Bell Posted February 15, 2013 at 07:00 PM Posted February 15, 2013 at 07:00 PM Many people say 'L'amour peut prendre froid' would be the best choice for the 3rd single. SERIOUSLY? I'm not sure but i don't think this is smth that might turn in2 a catchy hit song Well, I wouldn't call the other 2 singles of SA 'catchy' either. I had this idea about 'L'amour peut prendre froid', too. Not the best idea I've ever had, I admit but now that the 3rd single is chosen, I'm happy with it. I mean, it could have been 'Attendre' but it also could have been, let's say, 'La mer et l'enfant'. We have to agree that it would never make a successful single, right? Quote 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
Matej Posted February 20, 2013 at 09:42 AM Posted February 20, 2013 at 09:42 AM If the album Sans attendre has such a "great success" in francophone countries then I wonder why the recording company don't bother to release the third edition comprising of 16-track CD and bonus DVD for example with all the music videos from the album and the documentary with making of the album or videos for even more better promotion? 4 Quote
Javito Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:20 AM Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:20 AM +1 I'm still surprised that we haven't seen more footage and behind the scenes of the making of the album in the recording studio. Hardly snippets of the Jean Pierre Ferland songs, Luc Plamondon and Les petits pieds de Lea, but the rest of the songs, 0 images 2 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
Matej Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:34 AM Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:34 AM Javi, that's the reason to release an edition with DVD because we have not seen almost anything! And I guess they have a lot of footage of the recording sessions! Quote
Javito Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:41 AM Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:41 AM Yes, that would be the right thing to do, as with the unused photoshoot, but so unfortunately, I don't think they care at all to show us that footage or not Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
Matej Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:53 AM Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:53 AM I'm still waiting for the news from Japan whether the album will be released for domestic market or not. And SMEJ would be more likely to release DVD as we all know how important and specific is Japanese market in music industry. 1 Quote
Celine Fan 77 Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:56 AM Posted February 20, 2013 at 10:56 AM (edited) One of the things that surprised me the most was that they showed a clip of the recording session for S'il N'en Restait Qu'une during the new EPK on the segment of Parler à mon Père, while Jacques Veneruso is talking about the song, like trying to make people believe that it was from the studio session for PAMP instead of SNRQ; this makes me think that maybe they did not film all the recording sessions... Well it's not only about the recording sessions. We have the music videos, behind the scenes of these videos, interviews, footage from unused photoshoot like Javi mentioned above and don't forget there were also some TV specials, one of these specials would be nice to use on DVD like the Sonia Benezra's Special Dimanche on D'eux DVD. So in generally there are still a tons of footage for DVD! Just wake up call for the recording company... 2 Quote

Matej Posted February 21, 2013 at 11:18 AM Posted February 21, 2013 at 11:18 AM Just a theory. SMEJ released D'elles in 2008 after Taking Chances. It was nine months after worldwide release of D'elles. So I guess it is kind of possible if SMEJ has interest to release Sans attendre for domestic market then it will be probably around the time when the upcoming new English album will come. 1 Quote

And maybe they'll automatically add the 2 bonus tracks of the "deluxe" edition to their standard edition. I just love how the Japanese label do these things when it comes to release the best edition possible of all its brothers. They always show hunger for bonus tracks or extra contents. I wish Céline's team was infected with this same "savoir faire" when they put an album out, and not just think in the regular tracklist and bye bye. Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Matej Posted February 21, 2013 at 11:47 AM Posted February 21, 2013 at 11:47 AM I have many different Japanese releases (not only Celine). I love these packages looks more luxurious with better colours of prints, additional booklets, OBI and one of the main reasons is much better mastering and sound against other worldwide releases. And of course they're always adding some bonus tracks because it's their standard. Well they know how to do things better! 1 Quote
