I'm so excited for the DVDs and the CDs. My surround sound speakers are going to be on full blast on May 11th. I hope my neighbors like Celine!! For the CD, I can't wait to hear the ballads. I did like Taking Chances, but I think going back to the ballads would be good for her popularity. Maybe she could stumble across another MHWGO.

Celine is great and I'm looking forward to her next projects.

 

I can appreciate what she has said about where she is now in her career and personal life and I respect her for sticking to what she believes is right for her and her family. She's not going to please everyone and I respect her for not trying. WHat she does give, I don't doubt that it will be the best of what she has to give. I will support her new album, both of them, I will attend her show in Vegas, as many as I can. I will treasure the DVDs and raise my children to appreciate her music the way I do because one day she will be silenced (like the rest of us but hopefully not for a very long time) and there will be nothing else for some to complain about.

I love FIY and LTAL. Why not add a 3rd CD in my collection that would go along with them?

 

I hope that she won't copy herself though; many singers that are out of inspiration would make the mistake to do a song that makes the public remember what they did in the past; hope Celine won't fall into that category.

So, nothing new under the sun then. But it seems she's definetly closing the door to new styles, and she keeps going on and on and on with the that thing that "she has nothing to prove anymore" She hadn't that attitude in 2005, when she talked again like she wanted to conquer the world

The uplifting theme strikes a chord with Dion and her audience, naturally: "Positive messages, like that feeling that you can move mountains, are just wonderful." But there's one other slightly less obvious reason why "I'm Alive" is an irreplaceable part of her concert repertoire: "I don't have a lot of other uptempo songs on top of that," she admits.

 

Indeed, Dion doesn't have a lot of other tracks that have actually made the dance charts--as a remix of this track did just last year. But somehow that hasn't been a huge hamper on her career.

 

So? Hellooo? What are you waiting for?? What are you waiting to record those songs? More of them? You need them? We want them! So what's up with pushing back this? Why don't she record these dance and uptempo songs?!

 

I don't understand her sometimes, she says one thing but then takes steps back inmediately "I love country and heavy metal, but I'm not going to do that" ¿¿?? So aren't you saying its all about taking the ride now, having fun? Why not then?? I'm not saying she has to do a heavy metal album, but why she's closing the doors to things she says she loves?

 

As I've said zillion times, if only she knew what we are waiting for here... She still thinks we are eager to listen her sing BYLM, Titanic and Beauty and the Beast. Okay Céline...

Thank you so much, finally new informations in this interview, Céline is amazing in way as she talked about her aktual position in music biznis, she see it very real, but I´m a little bitt sad that she doesn´t want to change it. I think If she wants she can be nb.1 around the world again. At any rate I hope her next album will be good one. I specially enjoy for her new french album and I hope for bigger promo than she did of her last french albums. And I really hope she will go on tour in future again, maybe not 1-year long tour, but I hope she will do tour, she is only 42.

If she were arriving on the scene today, could she possibly hope to build up to anywhere near the same kind of career she's enjoying now? That one's a no-brainer. "I have to say that I feel a lot for the new artists coming up. If you want to be played, if you want to have success, you have to do the hip-hop thing and all that. A lot of wonderful people do that perfectly. The kind of career that I have and the type of music I sing, I don't think I would have a chance today. So I am even more fortunate and appreciative of the fact that I started many years ago. I think my career started exactly when there was a chance for me in the contemporary music. I had the best years. I sold so many records, and people were buying records. It was just before the big crash. It's been tough for the artists. I'm glad a lot of them are finding their path through this, and a lot of them suffered. You can't just say ‘Okay, I'm going to change my style, then.' That's so sad. If they think they can go through it and not go crazy and be happy and function and express themselves through changing their styles here and there, then fine. But I know for sure that, for me, it would have been.... Not that I can't do other things.

 

"But singing my type of repertoire today still works for me. I'm knocking on wood right now. It's because I'm an artist that's been established for so long. People are still relating to ‘Because You Loved Me' and the Titanic and Beauty and the Beast themes and all those classic songs. I think there will always be a place for ballads and love songs, obviously. I'm definitely not a hip-hop singer and performer, although I enjoy watching them tremendously and I'm glad they're doing that part. I'm still very happy that I can still do mine, and that my fans are still making me still do it. I guess they're still interested, so I'm amazed. As long as I can express myself, if they want to hear and be with me, then I'm more than appreciative."

 

 

 

I agree with her.She is not something else.She is the way she has always been and if we're fans,we should accept it no matter what we would like her to do.Maybe i'd like her to do sth else,but..

For example if we want a hip-hoper or sth else,then we're totally on wrong path with celine cuz she is not the one who works that or who worked.This is quite comprehensible and it should be acceptable.I totally agree

and for hip hop stuff yeah it's not really Celine.. but i think she would probably try 1 or 2 so yeah

and i would love to have an album that is very diverse ! like ANDHC and maybe this time she can try something more! something like more jazz or maybe opera, we'll see
