Ahhh! Thanks Ronny! I cant believe to have a new version of this song after more than ten years of playback in the middle its a bit annoying but the end is FABULOS!!!!!!

We don't know. I hope this recording is just for the Boston concert. cos I think it would be better to have a new version for Vegas, then they won't have to do a new one for that DVD, they can use the version that she actually performed with.

 

The thing I don't like about this version is the amount of autotune/effects they've put on her vocals. I know it's been 15 years since the playback was recorded and her voice isn't as clear but you can barely make out the words in some parts!

Isn't it's obvious TPOL is going to be lipped for the rest of her career? I'd go if it means you're listening to new vocals that aren't 15 years old!

 

I hope this isn't the Vegas 2011 playback, cos then after Vegas she'll have to record a new version for the Vegas DVD, and it won't be the same as the version she actually used in the concerts. Now that the old playback has been laid to rest, it makes much more sense for her to record a new playback before each tour, that way the same version will be on the DVD of that tour, etc etc.

 

Judging by the sound of her voice in some parts, I reckon she found this quite hard to sing again after all these years, so I understand why she didn't want to do it again for the Montreal DVD.

I can't accept rhat she finds TPOL difficult to sing today, Timster , not yet at least. Not when we have seen her in the studio singing Alone and That's Just The Woman In Me that way and doing those crazy screams everytime.

 

Other thing is that she finds hard to cope with singing TPOL day after day during AND, during the TCWT, or in the future during her new Vegas show. But then, why to come back again? Why to do it again? Or even, why to include this song again in the setlist when she has 499 more to present to the public? Thats the question

TPOL is a very hard song, almost every line from the chrous onwards is powerful and belted. What I'm trying to say is that the last full performance was Brunei 1997, so she obviosuly has had no experience singing it in the past 10 years, no learned technique, so that would be why some little parts sounded a bit shaky, and her voice was not as clear. If she sang it live every day then obviously she would build up a technique and it would be easy just like all her other songs! But overall I think it's amazing and a real treat for us fans to have something new. Her voice has certainly changed, but definately not for worse! I think the high note is superb!

Personally I cannot see us getting a DVD from the new Vegas show. Both Bette and Cher did not release a DVD, and Celine will have the same schedule. They may decide not to because it would be like LILV Part 2.

Ah, that's sure, she won't sing again like she sang in the Olympia hall unless she goes back to her training techniques and exercises! But that was her decision, her voice wouldn't rule her life anymore, so we have to try to respect that (I'm trying! )

I agree,but in any way i dont think this to be playback as many believes.It sounds a bit different,but is great.Keep going girl

well at least we are happy even if its diff but we accept that her voice has changed and we still like it either way and about that last note i like it she just changed it she just turned it straight the same idea she sing rdmh the part(baibaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa) without playing with it but just straight to the end lool i cant explain it but im sure u undrestand it and we like it
