Timster Posted April 6, 2010 at 07:52 AM Posted April 6, 2010 at 07:52 AM OT but I don't know if Tim could actually sue... since he's using GS's picture and Celine Dion's name is copyrighted. If anything, I think they could sue him.Yeah that's what I was thinking. I guess they'd just have to look at mine, but then make the cover themselves. btw i just checked the official site's french press release and they wrote a bit more about the concert and it says it will be more than 2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!yay!!!YAY! Do you think they've put TPOL and EOM back in??!

Peppercorn1991 Posted April 6, 2010 at 10:37 AM Posted April 6, 2010 at 10:37 AM Hey i have translated (google) the part from french where it talks about teh concerts from celinedion.com: THE TAKING CHANCES WORLD TOUR - THE SpectAL (DVD-CD)Celine Dion has created a spectacle at the forefront with multimedia effects having reaped the praise throughout its path. Surrounded by musicians and dancers, Celine electrifying moves and his fans for more than 2 hours in what has become one of the most acclaimed concerts in history. Two different programs were designed for the Taking Chances tour, one addressed to a public speaking and the other aimed at an English speaking audience but both have reaped the success that we know, shattering record sales and assistance on all continents. The DVD and CD will therefore be available in two versions, one in French which was registered in Montreal during the passage of Celine at the Bell Centre. kev

Ronny83 Posted April 6, 2010 at 01:28 PM Author Posted April 6, 2010 at 01:28 PM Official Canadian press release: Celine: Through the Eyes of the World, an expanded DVD edition of the acclaimed documentary, & Taking Chances World Tour: The Concert, a new live DVD/CD, available Tuesday, May 4 TORONTO, April 6 /CNW/ - Celine: Through the Eyes of the World, a home edition of the acclaimed feature film, newly expanded for its DVD release, and Taking Chances World Tour: The Concert, a DVD/CD of live performances from Celine's record-breaking world tour, will be released on Tuesday, May 4. Lensed during the Canadian superstar's 2008-2009 Taking Chances World Tour (the second highest-grossing ever for a solo artist), Celine: Through the Eyes of the World opens a window into the real life, both on-stage and off, of the best-selling female recording artist of all time. Director Stéphane Laporte and team enjoyed unprecedented access to the decade's top performer as she played concerts in five continents, 25 countries and 93 cities, selling more than three million tickets during her first major tour in nine years. "This was an amazing world tour, but there's a lot more than just concert footage on this film," said Celine. "I let the cameras follow me everywhere. There are a lot of ups and downs, and it's very personal...It's definitely the most intimate journey that I've ever shared with my fans." Clocking in at three hours, the home version of Celine: Through the Eyes of the World includes an additional hour's worth of footage not seen in the film's limited theatrical run in February 2010. A Blu-ray version will also be available on May 18. Working with choreographer/director Jamie King, Celine Dion created a multi-media state-of-the-art production for the two-hour concerts on her monumental Taking Chances World Tour, the eleventh of her career. Running from February 2008 through February 2009, featuring both Anglophone and Francophone setlists, Celine's Taking Chances Tour broke attendance and box office records at venues around the world. Taking Chances World Tour: The Concert, a DVD/CD souvenir combination set chronicling the event, will be available in both French and English. The French version was recorded in Montreal, Quebec. A special limited edition deluxe two-DVD set - featuring both Celine: Through the Eyes of the World and Taking Chances World Tour: The Concert and a 52 page booklet and fold-out souvenir postcards - will be available direct-to-consumer through www.celinedion.com and via Canadian retail outlets on May 18. The movie "...does more than highlight her performances during her last world tour, it also allows fans rare glimpses of her offstage life. The documentary shows Dion as a goofy jokester, a doting mother, a tender wife, a wide-eyed tourist, a devoted daughter and more. The cameras tag along for intimate moments the superstar is happy to share with fans." - MSNBC "...whether frolicking with admirers in Johannesburg or accepting France's Legion of Honor metal in Paris, wowing throngs or greeting a sick child backstage, she (Celine) emerges as a paragon of greatness and goodness...Celine's film tour de force" - USA Today "Celine is the James Brown of her generation - the hardest working woman in show business." - Globe & Mail "The film succeeds because it lets us in on Celine the person as much as Celine the performer." - Boston Herald "...you can't help but be impressed by this fascinating portrait of a superstar trying very hard to keep her feet on earth while her career keeps soaring ever upward." - The Toronto Star "Celine: Through the Eyes of the World a must-see...Dion's goal was for her world to remain human, real and authentic. Mission accomplished." - Le Journal de Montreal "it also shows the behind the scenes action that an ordinary ticket holder would never get to see (...) fascinating." - The Sunday Telegraph "A Celine we rarely see." - La Presse "You have the best seat in the house..." Chicago Tribune Having sold more than 200 million albums around the world, Celine Dion is one of the most immediately recognized, widely respected and successful performers in pop music history. During her spectacular career Celine has been honored with over 1000 awards. Nmj Posted April 6, 2010 at 01:48 PM Posted April 6, 2010 at 01:48 PM What pisses me off is that they are making us wait a extra week for the Blu-ray edition because they want us to buy the DVD and the blu-ray and i will not do that! I Also hope they add I'm your angel back to the DVD, i still do not understand the reason for not including this song :(
LcMason Posted April 6, 2010 at 01:56 PM Posted April 6, 2010 at 01:56 PM so now the blu-ray won't be out for another week?
maceta_biloxi Posted April 6, 2010 at 01:59 PM Posted April 6, 2010 at 01:59 PM I would've liked I'm Alive in the CD instead of Mego's Flamenco Do What You Want But Harm No One http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs939.snc4/73202_10150111343007542_831827541_7586213_4279368_n.jpg...Looking Alike!?
Timster Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:02 PM Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:02 PM I would've liked I'm Alive in the CD instead of Mego's Flamenco I don't know what the Soul Medley is doing on the CD either. Half of that is Barnev, not Celine!!!
Nmj Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:03 PM Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:03 PM Its says a Blu ray edition will be available May 18Thats the most ignorant decision they have planned this release very poorly and never stick to a decision.. First all of this was going to be released on April 26th then may 4th, now its May 11... Now they said Blu-ray wont be available until May 18th. This whole project was very poor planed and arranged they cant just make a F-ing decision and stick to it... ( The New Vegas show was rushed and poor planed as well - but im not going to go there right now) ... But the team needs to get their s*** together! Its just very frustrating sorry for ranting but i hope they see this!-Nmj

Timster Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:10 PM Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:10 PM What I find most frustrating, is that we're being constantly messed with by Sony, every week there's another delay. And yet when we finally get the DVDs we'll still end up with a less than satisfactory release. Sony, if you are reading this, pull yourselves together. Release the FULL Boston and Montreal concerts, and release both on Blu-ray too!!!
Timster Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:12 PM Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:12 PM You can also find it on Play.com and it's much cheaper - only £18!!! http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/14445347/Th...ld/Product.html Oooh I didn't see that - Thanks!!!
Nmj Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:16 PM Posted April 6, 2010 at 02:16 PM I agree, why couldn't they just NOT say the date until is 100% FOR SURE. The whole project was poor planed everything from NOT including "Im your angel" to all the delays, they "SONY" are pros and need to start doing their jobs as if they were pros and not stupid ignorant wannabes
