Any other places besides amazon.ca that you can pre-order the dvd. I don't want to pay 30 bucks for this when it's available for around 21 dollars on the US site. I'd just pre-order it from the American amazon website but I dunno if it'll let me and I have a bad feeling that in the end it'll somehow end up costing me more I dunno how but I just normally i don't trust ordering from USA websites call me crazy if ya like.

 

You cannot pre-order the Deluxe Edition 2 DVDs on Amazon.ca or .com.

 

It's exclusive to the pre-order website.

 

and When it will be available on celinedion.com, they will charge you over 10$ for international shipping/Canada shipping.

 

So it sucks bad

I don't get why the there's so much difference our dollar is on par and plus with shipping the US one comes to 21 bucks I tested it out and with shipping and taxes the Canadian one comes to 30 bucks that's about a 10 dollar difference which I don't think is fair honestly.

 

Does anyone know if amazon.com normally lets Canadians order off there?

Yes u can pre-order from amazon.com. I pre-ordered both the CD/DVD and DVD movie from amazon.com. It's cheaper than amazon.ca because there are sales on the items. Plus with the shipping and all, it will cost you the same amount that is given on amazon.ca (22$ for CD/DVD) except there's no taxes and shipping and handling. If you get it from amazon.ca, it will cost you 22$ plus shipping and handling +taxe= over 30$

 

I paid for both items (CD/DVD+ DVDmovie) $41.97 US dollars = 42. something in Canadian Dollar.

First of all, thank you very much Ronny for the press release. A big THANK YOU to Dustin for sharing the link to the site too, and also thanks to Chabby for clearing up our confusion. It's not Thanksgiving Day, but it seems to be lol.

 

Well, that being said, and all in all, I must say I'm personally very content and satisfied with the releases we'll get. Very glad it's been officially announced, now we can breathe! And that I'm Alive Intro video, makes me goosebump... I'm celinishly happy right now! (I think I just created a new word...)

 

But like everything, it has its negative aspects... I would like to have IYA in the DVD and FA in the CD... But oh well, I can live with that. I'll just rip it from the DVDs, because I plan to buy both versions of the DVD (English/French) and then the TTEOTW Blu-Ray. There's no way I'm gonna buy the Special Edition just to get the postcards, I still have the postcards from "Live a Québec" in the DVD packaging... Sony just wants us to give them "the gold"... Well at least I won't give them every cent I have in my bank account. I'll save 1 euro... so that the account won't be deleted and I'll be able to buy the English version of the photobook afterwards.

 

Now my question... Chabby, can you definitely deny the release of any Blu-Ray version of the concert later on? I mean in 1 year, in 2 years, in 3 years, ever.

I guess it could depend on the DVD of TTOTW sales... but then I think, maybe they didn't record the 2 whole shows in Full HD, and that's why I'm asking this.

But there's loads of clips from Boston and Montreal in TTEOTW - they filmed every concert in HD.

 

Not releasing these concerts in Blu-ray makes no sense at all! But I guess they'd have a problem deciding how to package it - would they do a Blu-ray/CD set for each concert?

 

 

Also, has anyone considered that these DVDs might be region-free, just like the AND, ONCP and LAP releases? If so then people shouldn't be worrying so much over the regions...

However... I HATE sony for their policy on this competition. WHY just US residents? Celine Dion is an INTERNATIONAL ARTIST. I see how it says that if you win the cost of your flight will be paid for, and I presume that Sony don't want to pay for a flight from far away, but I know for a fact that big fans like myself are 1) Going to Vegas in spring 2011 for Celine anyway and 2) Would fork out and pay for a flight anyway if they won the competition!

They don't ship international, only domestic US, they even won't ship to Canada...

I have made myself an official US address for such purposes but since the region code's don't match there is little benefit by ordering them through the website.

yeah i dont get why they decided to release the movie in blu-ray, instead of the concerts.

I tried Amazon.fr It has no details of the tracklist. Not sure if it's the French version.

Because what makes me a little doubtful is that it says IMPORT!

Would it say that even if it's the French version of the concert?

I've just noticed American media didn't react at all to the press release.

 

 

As from what I'm lead to believe from the past, that the uk press releases have to wait until the u.s/canada releases get released first, and with the time difference etc, I'm guessing it should be tomorrow morning now.

 

Edit: But obviously the UK and most parts or Europe will get these released on the 3rd May and not the 4th.

Hello, I got this yesterday (i don;t know if anyone post it yet but here it is).

 

It seems that the deluxe version of the movie comes with the DVD of the concert.

 

But only the DVD of the concert comes with the CD, so for me it's only logical to buy the concert CD+DVD and the regular DVD of the movie.
