I've been thinking about the whole orchestra thing and I wonder if it is a bit André Rieu inspired. I mean isn't his shows all about the big orchestra and at the same time spectacular visuals...

 

Edit: I agree with Lindsay: There are a lot of negativity on the forum the last couple of weeks. I really can't see what it has to do with anyone on this forum what RC does. Has it ever occur to any of you that that lamb was probably some form of security for him. I mean it cannot always be easy jetting from one place to another. Obviously it has some sentimental value to Celine too. I guess the people that has something to say about it doesn't have children of their own.

 

It is common that children have their stuffed animal which goes everywhere they go, when they are young.

For example when my nephew was younger he had a stuffed animal and they just could not leave without it because

otherwise he would not sleep! they drove back once to get the animal, because they accidently forgot to take it with them.

I can remember I had the same , with a stuffed bear. And it is also common that they are not washed too. It is a safe feeling

for a child to sleep with it.

Yes I am the Oprah girl, haha! They asked me when I was first surprised what songs I wanted to hear Celine sing and I said "You and I" and "IDAN" - - I really wanted to hear her sing You and I because I ADORE that song ... but I also know that upbeat familiar songs make for better television ... If I REALLY had a choice I would have chosen something like Mémoire d'Abraham or I Love You... but everyone would be like what?! I guess they told her my choices and she chose IDAN.

Gah people. What is with all the negativity on the forum lately? There are definitely several types of fans. The ones who care only for her voice, the ones who only like her when she is doing something they themselves approve of, and the ones who love her unconditionally more for the woman that she is than for her amazing voice. Just saying. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and to debate, that's the point of a forum, but why are some of you even fans? Why do you care? It is mind boggling to me.

 

I agree. There are plenty of Celine haters [probably groups and forums] out there who will gladly join in a discussion about her "annoying" parenting skills, voice, manerisms, or whatever you don't like about what she does. I think that we are lucky to know these personal things about her life and she doesn't share that with her fans expecting that we will sit around and say things like "gah, she should have done THIS instead. That is SO annoying. She talks too much about him" I am completely biased and blindsided I suppose because I love every single thing she does. Would you rather her not talk at all? She will do no wrong in my eyes b/c I have a profound adoration for that woman. I think that she does the best that she can and with all of the passion in her and all of the right intentions. If she is talking about RC all of the time, it is because she is passionate about him. Having a child was not an easy feat for her and I think she has all the room on this earth to chat her brains off about him. If she gets upset about little things, like his baby lamb - her reaction is real and true to who she is. She is a very emotional and caring lady and that doesn't just count for her music. It is WHO SHE IS. This isn't directed towards any one person. I still love you all

Ok for real I was in tears during ASFY then i was jumping in the bed at the end of the show. Such an adrenaline ride

I was so relieved that the whole crying scene in the car was not about Mexico's security like I had thought. THANK GOD!

 

And is it just me or were there some times when Celine didn't even let Oprah speak? It felt to me a couple times Oprah couldn't even finish her sentences . Well that's Celine we know she's a talker

 

I loved how she said that whole thing about not putting pressure on kids. And how she's really blessed. And that thing she said about how God has given her this gift (voice) to pass on messages and she's just there to serve the music. Big "Aha" moment there. And Oprah was like : you're very smart girl. She IS . She's very down to earth. Smart and she knows what the true things in life are.

 

I loved that she said she's not fighting for the music anymore...she's just enjoying it.

 

Btw in the preview of the movie I saw my friend Lis with the colourful hat dancing !!

 

Also, I said this before but how surreal and fantastic to recognise people from this forum on TV!! Chelsey and Jen jumping and cheering for Celine hahaha and Oprah saying "she just sat in the chair"

I just watched the clips on YouTube (well the few clips that is repeated in all the parts anyways). I have to say that Celine really is very intelligent. I think Celine understands people (a very rare thing). She just has a difficult time saying what she thinks in English. It is actually very cute. You have to take your hat off to her for trying and doing the best she can in these English interviews.

 

I can't wait to download and watch the whole episode!

I mean he had a stuffed animal lamb when he was eight years old and when he lost it, she waited four days for the hotel that threw it out to find it for him? I know it may seem that I'm being rude, but my parents would never do that for me, probably because I wouldn't have a stuffed animal at the age of eight. I don't know, I just found that a bit weird.

She said he cried for three and a half hours for the lamb. I would be doing whatever I could to get it if that was my baby crying for that long no matter what age they were. It's a momma thing. I don't yet have kids but I know from being around babies a lot that I hate when they cry for a toy they've lost. It breaks my heart.

hm...i have to say that i haven't gone back and read the 10 pages I've missed..and judging from some of these posts, I really don't want to lol. From what I understand, people think Celine was over dramatic about her son losing his favorite and most prized possession? Give me a break...how would you all feel if you lost your favorite Celine CD? or better yet..something that you have Celine's AUTOGRAPH on? Hmm? And we aren't even children and I know how some of you would react if you lost something Celine related that meant so much to you. So for anyone to say that she was being over dramatic...think before you say anything. I'm not saying that I have to agree and approve of everythign Celine does..but she's human. Like Patrick said before...we shouldn't just blindly praise her for everything because she's Celine. But for anyone to judge her parenting skills based on the lamb incident saying that she's babying him too much is a little ridiculous...From what we know, as a celebrity child..Celine and Rene have done a damn good job of raising him to be a well rounded human being and not some pretentious little brat.
