BTW...one more thing to say...I actually loved the part where Celine said she tries to "assist" RC with his hw...she is being truthful, and I love the fact the she tries to help him even though she may not understand what his hw is about. I mean c'mon now, some of that elementary school hw is confusing! But on a serious note, she is doing such an amazing job as a mother, wife, artist, and "everything else" you want her to be

 

ok...one more thing LOL...after watching a bit of the show again, I just realized why they call it "Oprah & Celine" (hahahaha) it's because every time Celine is on Oprah it is no longer Oprah's show! LMAO...Oprah literally tries to get a word in and Celine totally overrides it LMAO....oh goodness I'm laughing too hard about this...I love it! I just love it! I wouldn't have Celine any other way!

 

 

Listening to Celine (and this is probably something that has been mentioned before), she has so many thoughts at one time, she tries to get them all out. It seems she has some difficulties articulating her thoughts in simple terms so she does it the long way. I'm not much of a talker/conversationalist (I am a wordy writer though) but when I do talk, I have so many things I want to get out that sometimes I lose what I'm trying to say. You can see Oprah trying to bring her to the point and keep the discussion focused (which is what she does) but it's so funny to see how Celine keeps going . It's cute. Could be that translation thing (for her. I don't know what my problem is).

 

And it's cute to see that Celine still needs help when translating worlds from French to English. I think there was a point where she was trying to say something about people thinking it was materialistic when she was talking about the importance of RC's lamb so she said it in French. Oprah apparently knew what she was saying though and told her she didn't think it was being materialistic "You want what you want". I really liked the whole show. I have it saved indefinitely on DVR. The miracle child show she did is still on there too. Starting to ramble. Sorry

 

PS: Someone I think mentioned something about Celine's weight. I think she also looked quite "stout" (Down south, that's black people's word for "thick", pleasurely plump, looking-good, etc.) It means something good. Could be the cameras though.

I would think so, but I don't know for sure. Who normally caps the USA shows? I have it on Tivo, but trying to convert from .tivo to anything else has proven to be mind blowing.

Well the orchestral show will be nice but she HAS to do sth upbeat otherewise it'll be boring (you know what I mean, the show will be great with ballads and all that stuff but something fresh and fast would improve it!)

I suggest that you visit "The Night of the Proms", which is also every year performed in The Netherlands, you will see that an uptempo number with an orchestra works marvelous...

I had to fast forward through most of the interview honestly, I wonder if Oprah sometimes dreads interviewing Celine as there is pretty much just nothing new to talk about ever. Yeah, she had her tour and the movie, but once you get past that, what exactly is unique or interesting? I love Celine of course but the girl just isn't what I'd consider "interesting." I thought her performance was fantastic! I loved it! She was on point and sounded great. I want Celine to do more singing and less talking

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Celine babies RC too much? I mean he had a stuffed animal lamb when he was eight years old and when he lost it, she waited four days for the hotel that threw it out to find it for him? I know it may seem that I'm being rude, but my parents would never do that for me, probably because I wouldn't have a stuffed animal at the age of eight. I don't know, I just found that a bit weird.

Gah people. What is with all the negativity on the forum lately? There are definitely several types of fans. The ones who care only for her voice, the ones who only like her when she is doing something they themselves approve of, and the ones who love her unconditionally more for the woman that she is than for her amazing voice. I've been thinking about the whole orchestra thing and I wonder if it is a bit André Rieu inspired. I mean isn't his shows all about the big orchestra and at the same time spectacular visuals...

 

Edit: I agree with Lindsay: There are a lot of negativity on the forum the last couple of weeks. I really can't see what it has to do with anyone on this forum what RC does. Has it ever occur to any of you that that lamb was probably some form of security for him. I mean it cannot always be easy jetting from one place to another. Obviously it has some sentimental value to Celine too. I guess the people that has something to say about it doesn't have children of their own.

Just because I am slightly annoyed by her talking about RC all the time, doesn't make me negative. That was probably the first post I made stating anything negative about Celine, and i wouldn't even call it negative. Just because we are all fans, doesn't mean we have to blindly praise everything she says and does. To me, that's not being a fan....that's being insane.

I agree. There are plenty of Celine haters [probably groups and forums] out there who will gladly join in a discussion about her "annoying" parenting skills, voice, manerisms, or whatever you don't like about what she does. I think that we are lucky to know these personal things about her life and she doesn't share that with her fans expecting that we will sit around and say things like "gah, she should have done THIS instead. That is SO annoying. She talks too much about him" I am completely biased and blindsided I suppose because I love every single thing she does. Would you rather her not talk at all? She will do no wrong in my eyes b/c I have a profound adoration for that woman. I think that she does the best that she can and with all of the passion in her and all of the right intentions. If she is talking about RC all of the time, it is because she is passionate about him. Having a child was not an easy feat for her and I think she has all the room on this earth to chat her brains off about him. If she gets upset about little things, like his baby lamb - her reaction is real and true to who she is. She is a very emotional and caring lady and that doesn't just count for her music. It is WHO SHE IS. This isn't directed towards any one person. I still love you all

I think her English accent is dramatically worse than during the Taking Chances tour. Maybe it's because she only speaks French when she's not working.

Well thats weird; I have to disagree, the 1st part of the interview I thought her english was PERFECT, my parents and I were suprised!!! But at the end she kind switched to the french accent.... yeah...

I wouldn't say insane, but i kind of agree with Patrick. She's an extraordinary woman and I love her as a woman, but i adore more her Voice than the woman. Thats for sure. But please don't get me wrong I love the woman that she is!!! She's a model for every human on this planet. People should look up to her. But for me, what comes first is The Voice for sure. Yes your right ladylindsay there are several types of fans. That doesn't mean that the ones who aren't like you (who love Celine unconditionally more for the woman) that they are negative people. Critic is not a bad thing, as long as its made with respect.
