I'm glad to see some people still can make idiotic comments. Seriously people... this is not a time for jokes like that...

 

Come on, it's not that she lost the baby, it's just that they jumped to quickly on conclusions when she actually never was pregnant, and the news is weeks old, René says they are over it now and are about to try things again... They just wanted to clear things out, there's nothing to be dramatic and nervous about, I can't believe people are actually losing their sleep over this kind of news, I'm sure Céline would freak out if she knew some of her fans are over-reacting like this... That's probably the last thing she would like for us, and that's putting a lot of pressure on Céline. Let's remain positive!

Well like René mentioned...instead of announcing she wasn't pregnant, they opted to try again...if that one worked out, they wouldn't have to announce yet again she's pregnant. But it didn't work out. They wanted to do the same this 3rd time, but the 'outside' pressure was too big..

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Celine Dion's spokeswoman has confirmed that the superstar singer suffered a miscarriage. After an in vitro fertilization was successful, spokeswoman Francine Chalout says Dion was only pregnant for 10 days before miscarrying.

 

Reports of Dion's pregnancy first began in August. The pair would have been expecting their second child.

 

"We're living the reality of the majority of couples who face these procreation techniques," husband Rene Angelil told Canadian newspaper Journal de Montreal. When reports first broke, her representative released the statement, "While her and Rene are actively trying for a baby, she is not currently expecting."

 

Dion, the youngest of fourteen children, has expressed interest in the past to grow her family. Her rep says they will aim to continue to try to have a second child. Dion and Angelil have an 8-year-old son together, Rene-Charles.

I feel sorry for her but not sad neither depressed... There's a difference between caring and losing sleep over it.

 

And obviously she did not want to announce she was not pregnant right away, since it took her almost two months to do so... It's not just media pressure, she obviously feels pressure coming from everywhere, imagine what she must have felt the past weeks, imagine when she would go out of her hotel room and come face to face with fans waiting for her, talking to her about her pregnancy, telling how they are happy for her, how they are praying for her, etc... She must have felt pressure there as well...

 

I'm not looking for any argument, I think I expressed my opinion clearly and I would like not to be insulted for this, we are all allowed to express how you feel about this event.

And regarding the media rushing them to announce it the day after they found out? They also announced her pregnancy with RC the day they found out- not because they were pressured to, but because they wanted to!

 

As I mentioned before, I think either somewhere in this forum (or a news articles I read somewhere, I can't remember which one) someone mentioned that when Celine found out she was pregnant she called her mother. When her mother heard the news, she apparently made some commotion in the store she was in and was overheard stating that Celine was pregnant (in her excitement). Someone who was in the store near her, overheard this, and from what I remember, this person went to a radio station (or called it in) telling that Celine was pregnant. Shortly after that, official word came out that she was pregnant. I don't think it was Celine or Rene's intention to release the information so early that she was pregnant. I think because it was overheard and reported to a station, they felt they had to. I'm going to see if I can find that post. In this case, they reported it because they had to not because they wanted to, just to make sure the wrong information didn't come out.

Yeah I get that! My point was that she announced it just as early when she pregnant with RC, therefore she probably didn't really resent having to announce this one early either.
