Wow, that original version was incredible. What a voice! Back when we were speculating what “chestnuts” TC were digging up for the CWT, this song was at the top of my list. It’s in the perfect range for her current voice, and now hearing it sung the way Stevie Vann does it makes me wish even more that Céline would sing it live -just to hear all the ad libs she could do! 2 Quote

PuraVida Posted March 5, 2021 at 09:53 PM Posted March 5, 2021 at 09:53 PM (edited) THLAL was originally a Diana King done in 1995. This makes it feel weird then how Celine took all the attention when they performed it live at the 1998 Essence Awards. It's like if she performed "If You Asked Me To" with Patti and then took all the lead vocals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS21zdBD2T4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dJkJlAM354 Edited March 5, 2021 at 09:54 PM by PuraVida Quote
PuraVida Posted March 5, 2021 at 09:55 PM Posted March 5, 2021 at 09:55 PM Unison -- originally from 1983 by an artist named Junior, written by Bruce Roberts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54qxcXskE-k And the same year, 1990, that Celine put out the song, Laura Branigan---who also covered "Power of Love" like Celine did, but Laura did it in 1987--also released the song "Unison" .... Laura released her album 2 weeks before Celine did, so two versions of the song essentially came out at the same time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lhPwRdvAQo Quote

What a shame that it’s never included on any album or compilation. Should’ve been included on One Heart. 1 Quote
