Celine Dion tour 1992-1993

I just saw this setlist on setlist.fm. I’m not sure if this thread is the right one to post this but the concert was held in November 1993 and The Colour Of My Love Tour was embarked in February 1994 and this concert i’m talking about is still a part of Celine Dion Tour according to the wikipedia.

The setlist is rather unique, it’s similar to the special but with some more french songs added.

I assume that there must be other songs as well since i think the setlist is too short. LCMM must’ve been performed, maybe another The Colour Of My Love songs as well? I can bet on TCOML and TPOL. At this point i think she has removed the Celine Dion songs from the setlist to promote TCOL. Interesting setlist though! Also she was still doing concerts in some english speaking territories around that time according to the wikipedia. Is there a chance she might remove some french songs and replace it with english songs like WFTM and/or NBBMH maybe?

Didn’t she do some promotional concerts around Quebec in late 1993? I’m almost certain she did. If that’s the case, that short show must have been one of those.

Maybe the November concert was held to promote The Colour Of My Love? Seeing that she had already sang some The Colour Of My Love songs.

I believe I had seen it on some setlists but surprised it hasn't been mentioned more often as we know it was done regularly for both Unison and TCOML tour.

She went to Japan at some stage in 1992 or 1993 (this was before her hair got short) ... and I would love if those shows could ever appear. She talked about it on Jay Leno.

I was looking through the setlist fm and it makes me really want to hear a full recording of this tour. I’d love to hear If You Could See Me Now live and i wonder how would “(If There Was) Any Other Way” sound in her late 1992 vocals. This era is one of her best eras vocally as we have so many amazing performances from this era like Imagine from Jay Leno, Water From The Moon from Sonia Benezra, The acoustic performance of Nothing Broken But My Heart from late 1992, LCMM and IYAMT from Arsenio and so much more, yet sadly we don’t have a full concert recording from this tour.

The question is, if such a recording exists, who would have it and in what audio/video file format? 

I wish she would've done an Unplugged around this time, like Mariah Carey did.

Someone out there has two recordings of the tour, Live in Trois Rivières and Live in Gatineau both in cassette. For Live in Gatineau, we only have two videos on YouTube, the performances of Did You Give Enough Love and Nothing Broken But My Heart.

A couple of years ago I found out that all these super rare bootle recordings were available in an old website from a Quebec fan. Unfortunately, the site no longer exists (it vanished around 2002) and the fan won’t answer e-mails.

I wonder if these three audio recordings came from the same show. All of them sound to be a soundboard audio. I think these came from a french show as she can be heard speaking in french in these recordings.

She didn’t perform Water from the Moon and Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word in Gatineau so i guess it’s from another french show. My guess is one of the Capitole de Quebec shows.

I think the Gatineau show was recorded by a fan? And we have a few videos of it at least? Could be wrong. 

I wonder if some people who were in the 90s fan clubs had certain bootlegs.

I think the website was only the archive of the trading site that had both of the 1992 bootlegs and some others from the later 90's. Pretty sure I posted it in this topic one or two pages back in the hopes of getting more information on where I could find these recordings.

I've finally found the original dates for the Campbellton and Caraquet concerts which were postoned after Karine's passing. Lennie Gallant was the opening act for the May 4th to 9th dates.

 

May 4, 1993 Campbellton Civic Centre, Campbellton (New Brunswick)

May 5, 1993 Carrefour de la Mer, Caraquet (New Brunswick)

Celine kept giving shows in Quebec from September 1993 until the release of The Colour Of My Love. I don't know if there were only the following or there were more. The postponed shows in Caracquet and Campbellton were reportedly to take place in September.

 

October 22, 1993 Auditorium Dufour, Chicoutimi (Tickets from $34.50 to $37.50)

October 25, 1993 Maurice O Bready, Sheerbroke (1,300 tickets sold).

October 26, 1993 Centre Culturel, Drummondville

November 2, 1993 Salle Antonio Thompson, Trois Rivieres

November 3, 1993 Salle Antonio Thompson, Trois Rivieres

 

She also performed at the Jardin des Étoiles de l'Ile Ste-Hélène on September 25, 1993. It wasn't a concert, she only sang eight songs.

Interesting. Never knew about the two other September 1992 concerts. I always thought Gatineau was the only concert she held that month. Thank you for the discovery!
