Haha Celine would never sing that song... I love it and would LOVE to hear her sing it but it would never happen...

She's up to absolutely nothing, except trying to get a baby She's enjoying some well-deserved time off. There's word though that there's going to be a christmasalbum this fall. It's not clear wether those tracks were already recorded or that she will be going into the studio in the coming months...

oh my goodness! this is crazy-i randomly was daydreaming earlier and i was like "hmm...celine needs to do another christmas album", and then i sign on tonight and find this post. i swear i'm psychic! haha!

i'm just wondering when she is planning on having this baby, since she is apparently returning to vegas in june 2010...? i'm assuming she's gonna have to have lots of rehearsals and i dont see how another baby could fit in. (although, i'd love for her to have a baby girl! that would be amaaazzinnggg cos you know that girl would have a fantastic voice!) anyways..i think she should do these for the album (no particular order):

1. silent night

2. hark! the herald angels sing

3. angels we have heard on high

4. what child is this?

5. breath of heaven

6. joy to the world

7. ill be home for christmas

8. oh christmas tree (with a kids choir, just like in the movie "home alone 2" haha i have that cd from when i was a kid, and it sounds so pretty with children singing that! and imagine celine singing with them, like in "lets talk about love"...beautiful!

9. have yourself merry little christmas

10. do you hear what i hear

11. its beg. to look a lot like xmas

12. christmas (baby please come home)

13. alone on christmas

 

*i read in one of her books that she sang some old jewish folk songs with a friend for fun (just goofing around) and i was thinking she may throw in a hannukah song in there...if so i think it should be one of the following: (i am jewish so i know lots of hannukah songs haha)

- - Maoz Tzur (her voice would KILL on that song...!!) - also known as "rock of ages"

- - light one candle

- - ner li (this one would also be pretty!)

is there any news on this album? Is it going to happen? Its only six minths before christmas so it should be reliced a few monthe before, that is only four months before it should come out? We should have heard something by now.

For me this is a dream come true. I know many other artists have recorded several Xmas albums. Why not Celine?

It's a good moment for a second English one after 11 years.

Why? Because it doesn't need so much promotion so Celine can keep her break, at the same time, she offers her fans new material.

I just hope it's brand new (not a compilation of her previous albums) Including new songs and all time ever classics. Two new duets would be great too.

 

I have no doubt this album could be as good as TAST.

David Foster Knows he can reserve the best songs for her. So he can make them sound incredibly as he did with the production of O holy night. I've heard thousands of versions and nobody can beat hers.

 

They just have to select the best ones.

That would be amazing If a good orchestra accompanies these songs.

 

A duet with Josh Groban and another one with Michael Buble Would be fantastic. Something similar to the prayer.

 

More things regarding to what I read on many of your posts.

1st No versions of Mariah's Xmas album. What for? One thing is covering an all time classic and another copying someone's album. All I want for Xmas... doesn't need any other versions. It's good on Mariah's.

 

2nd For those who don't want the album to be released (fortunately just a few ones) please don't throw away our illusion about the album with your negative comments. If you don't want it don't buy it, but don't wish it is not released. At least this is better than nothing.

 

Finally, just hope it's true. I've been longing for this album for so long. God only knows.

I don't think that it's dead. I am expecting it to come out. Didn't someones friend work at FYE and said that there was a Celine album scheduled for release in October??? I'm sure it will come out on time....I don't think she would do that to her fans......

Stuff shows up in retail databases that never happens all the time. I work at Borders and we had a Wicked DVD listed for like 2 years, and it never happened.
