SensationalCeline Posted November 1, 2010 at 08:47 PM Posted November 1, 2010 at 08:47 PM I bought the Speak Now at Walmart and then after I opened it found out about the Deluxe Edition at Target!!!! Can I take it back if I still have the receipt? If not, I'll probably just have to buy the deluxe edition and keep the one I've got. That would probably piss my mom off though since I already have the regular one! Quote http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg280/spoiledrottenbrat4063/Celine%20Dion/CELINESIGGY.jpg

AllCeline Posted November 1, 2010 at 10:03 PM Posted November 1, 2010 at 10:03 PM It has the music video for "Mine" and a 30-minute behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the video. But I'd get it for the six bonus tracks. The video content is on an Enhanced portion of the disc for your computer so it's not amazing qaulity. Bralo20 Posted November 2, 2010 at 08:43 AM Posted November 2, 2010 at 08:43 AM Last year I went to Texas (Dallas, Frisco, Austin, San Antonio, College Station & Houston) for a 2 week (work related) holiday and when I picked up my rental at Houston I started browsing through the radiostations (you got to love rentals equipped with Sirius satellite radio, just to much to choose from) and I stumbled onto some country stations. As a music lover I can appreciate some decent piece of country and after all we where in Texas, the state of cowboys and cowgirls . After some songs I heard quite a nice song called "Tim McGraw" and I thought by myself, hmmm that's a nice song, I wonder which artist it is... The next day another song was played, it was "Our song" and I thought again, hmm that's some fresh music, lovely voice wonder who she is. Days went by and her music was featured quite some times on the radiostations, Teardrops on my guitar, Picture to burn and Fearless passed by... At that time I had figured it out that it was somebody called "Taylor Swift" who was singing this song (again love the Sirius radio since everything is presented on the display of the radio). After a week when our time at Dallas Fire & Rescue was passed by and we where schedulled to leave to Frisco I jumped into a store and bought her 2 cd's. I played them several times during the next week. I found her music a bit refreshing, it's country but with a fresh, modern touch attached to it... She may not have the best voice in the universe but hell she can write songs! I remember that I was stunned when I learned that she wrote her songs herself. I've downloaded her new album (Speak Now) through I-Tunes and the first couple of songs that I heard where also quite good, and if I may believe the review from "Rolling Stone" the whole album should be quite good, actually they say it's twice as good as her previous album "Fearless". Anyway, to make a long story short I like her music, I'll probably be one of the older people who like her music but what the hell, as a true music lover I don't care about that Oh and by the way, she definately looks gorgeous also (Sorry, can't help myself, I'm a man ) Next year, a week before I travel to the USA to see Céline she will perform here in Belgium in quite a small venue which I ordered tickets for, I can't wait to see her perform live! I hope it's as good or even better then her cd's Quote ...
Black Kitten Posted November 2, 2010 at 11:33 PM Posted November 2, 2010 at 11:33 PM ^ aww cute story. agree she's not one of the greatest singers in the world by a long shot. but the woman can write. she has a knack for storytelling. and i'm gonna see her on Feb. 19!!! aarrrhhh i can't wait! Quote

[it's] the highest total since 50 Cent moved 1.14 million of his album Massacre back in 2005 Michael Buble Debuts Top 10, But Swift's Stunning Debut is the Big Story November 2, 2010 Long live Taylor Swift. The country crossover princess’ third album proved a charm, as her Big Machine/ Universal Republic release Speak Now cracked the magic barrier, selling 1.044 million in its first week. That’s the highest total since 50 Cent moved 1.14 million of his album Massacre back in 2005. Lil Wayne, of course, was the last to crack the magic mark back in June, 2008, when Tha Carter III sold 1.005 million. Garth Brooks’ ’98 album Double Live remains the biggest Country album to date, selling 1.085m, while Swift shatters Shania Twain’s female Country mark of 874k for Up in Nov. 2002. Not bad for a gal who won’t be able to legally buy a drink until December, when she turns 21. The only other Top 10 newcomer this week is Reprise artist Michael Buble’s Hollywood: The Deluxe EP, which bows at #8, including new tracks also added to last year’s Juno Award-winning Crazy Love. Mercury Nashville’s Sugarland, last week’s chart-topper, dips to #2, and should do well next week with the CMAs on tap. RCA/RMG’s Kings of Leon is now at #3, with the brilliant Come Around Sundown, while Cash Money/Universal Motown’s Lil Wayne (#4) and Shady/ Aftermath/Interscope’s Emimem (#5) round out the leaderboard. Decca’s much-ballyhooed Elton John and Leon Russell pairing, The Union (#6), is next, followed by Columbia’s Rocky Horror Glee Show (#7), J/RMG’s Rod Stewart (#9) and Capitol Nashville/EMI’s Darius Rucker (#10). Other Top 50 newcomers include Vagrant’s Senses Fail (#30), while Taylor Swift’s Fearless (#36), Universal Motown’s Kem (#46) and Epic’s Sara Bareilles (#48) return to the chart. The week’s double-digit gainers feature three country acts, including Capitol Nashville/EMI’s Lady Antebellum (#29-26, +20%), Columbia Nashville’s Miranda Lambert (#45-33, +18%), Interscope’s Lady Gaga (#43-32, +11%) and Atlantic’s Zac Brown Band (#49-41, +10%). This week’s releases include Broken Bow’s Jason Aldean, Arista Nashville’s Brad Paisley, Columbia’s Neil Diamond, Hear Music’s Elvis Costello, Capitol/EMI’s Good Charlotte, Star Trak/Interscope’s N.E.R.D., Island/IDJ’s Mariah Carey and Fader’s Matt & Kim, among others. Bralo20 Posted November 3, 2010 at 09:26 AM Posted November 3, 2010 at 09:26 AM (edited) 1 million albums in a single week? Wow, that's massive Yesterday I've spend quite some time in my car and thus I had the time to listen to the new album. IMHO "Speak Now" is still in line with the 2 previous albums but it's a bit better, I tend to believe some reviews that say that Speak Now is twice as good as her previous album "Fearless". It's still country(pop), it's still fresh, it's still good, it's nice to listen to... I like it... The biggest surprise on the album may be the song "Haunted" which is quite different from the rest of the album, one can say that it doesn't belong on the album because it's a totally different style but on the other hand it's one of the best songs on the album, actually it's my favourite at the moment... Haunted is a song that reminds me to some music of the Dutch group "Within Temptation". Haunted may be less a country song but the music is quite good, while there is some guitar in the song, the majority of the song seems to be guided with a small orchestra (string section) which makes the song sound special. Maybe if I find some time this weekend I'll write a small review for the new album If she continues to make such good music I can't wait untill her next album Edited November 3, 2010 at 09:27 AM by Bralo20 Quote ...

Black Kitten Posted November 22, 2010 at 06:30 AM Posted November 22, 2010 at 06:30 AM (edited) 2010 AMAs: Taylor Swift, Usher, Among Early Winners http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/news/00036945.jpgNovember 22, 2010 02:24:00 GMT Swift wins Favorite Female Country Artist Usher gets Favorite Soul/R 'n' B Album, RiRi is voted Favorite Female Soul/R 'n' B Artist, and Shakira snatches Favorite Latin Artist. From walking down the red carpet in front of the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles to pose for photographers and fans, big stars went straight inside the venue to witness this year's winners collecting the American Music Awards. The first to win that night was Usher. He was called out by Heidi Klum to accept Favorite Soul/R&B Album after beating the other nominees Alicia Keys and Sade. Next, there was John Legend coming onto the stage with Jenny McCarthy. They handed Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo or Group to Black Eyed Peas. The four-piece won the coveted prize over Lady Antebellum and Train. Later, this group returned to the stage to perform their new single "This Time (Dirty Bit)". Jessica Alba announced Taylor Swift as the winner of Favorite Female Country Artist which contenders were Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood. Coming to the event in a mini glittery dress, Swift wished everybody a Happy Thanksgiving Day and thanked fans for "giving so much love" for her new album "Speak Now" which sold more than 1 million copies in its opening week. http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/news/00036944.jpg Tapped to perform at the prize-giving event, Taylor Swift was almost unrecognizable with her long straight hair. Taylor, who was up for Favorite Female Artist in Country Music category, opted a sexy sequined mini-dress, Jimmy Choo heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Shakira won Favorite Latin Artist, beating Daddy Yankee and Enrique Iglesias. After that, trio Taio Cruz, Trey Songz and Nicki Minaj teamed up to announce Favorite Female Soul/R&B Artist, and the winner was Rihanna who won the award over Alicia Keys and Sade. ================================ Taylor Swift Goes 'Back To December' With Snowy AMA PerformanceNov 21 2010 10:22 PM EST American Music Award winner performs in a winter wonderland for apology ballad. By Jocelyn Vena (@jocelyn1212) MTV NEWS *Taylor Swift sat at her piano on the American Music Awards stage and sang "Back to December." The set was dressed with Christmas lights on tree branches, and she was joined by violinists accompanying her on the track. Wearing super-skinny black pants and a black blazer, Swift sang her heart out during the Speak Now ballad about messing up a relationship and apologizing for it. Midway through the song, snow fell on the stage as the stage lights came up showing her band. http://www.mtv.com/shared/promoimages/bands/s/swift_taylor/ama_perf_2010/281x211.jpg Many of the elements of the performance felt similar to the ones she used during her CMA Awards performance earlier this month. But this time, the AMA winner changed things up a bit, and before the song ended, she played around with the theme of the song by singing part of OneRepublic's "Apologize" as she stood up and finished up the tune. "So this is me swallowing my pride/ Standing in front of you saying 'I'm sorry' for that night/ And I go back to December all the time/ It turns out freedom ain't nothing/ Missing you, wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mine/ I'd go back to December, turn around and make it all right/ I go back to December all the time," Swift sang in the chorus. Swift was the second pop star of the night to perform from behind the piano. Earlier in the night, fellow AMA winner Justin Bieber sat behind the piano for his performance of the new song "Pray." While Swift opted for snow to bolster her performance, Bieber included a choir. http://msnbcmedia3.msn.com/j/MSNBC/Components/Slideshows/_production/ss-101121-ama/ss-101121-ama-03.grid-8x2.jpg http://www.mtv.com/news/photos/a/ama_2010_carpet/taylor_ama_2010.jpg Edited November 22, 2010 at 06:33 AM by Black Kitten Quote

Bralo20 Posted March 6, 2011 at 11:33 PM Posted March 6, 2011 at 11:33 PM Just back from the concert in Brussels (the opening of the European tour)... It was amazing except for Tom Dice his performance (Tom Dice = Belgian artist)... Small review: Tom Dice Music was OK. Not more, not less. There seemed to be a problem with the audio since the volume was way to high and in some parts of the arena nearly unbearable. Add the screaming of teenage girls and you have the perfect solution for an headache. But fortunately he didn't stay to long. After Tom Dice it was time for the star of the evening to perform. Apparently they did something to the audiosystem because the result was way better then when Tom Dice had performed. Even close to the loudspeakers it became bearable to stay there. When one hears Taylor perform you notice immediately that she plays in another level then opener Tom Dice, not only is her voice much better so is her music. Contrary to what we are used to in Belgium the audience seemed to be in the game for the performance. Belgians are knows to be a very polite audience, an audience that is a be reserved to party to the fullest but it seemed that a small miracle had happend. The crowd was amazing, there was a lot of fun and it was nearly unseen in Belgium (trust me, I see a lot of concerts of all kind of artists, from the absolute worldtop to local Belgian groups). From the first note the mood was set and it stayed like this the whole concert. During "Belong to me" Taylor asked the crowd to sing as loud as they could with the song, nearly the whole arena started singing, some even dancing to the tunes of the song. After the song was finished the crowd continued cheering, even to a point that Taylor was very moved by the crowd's cheers. She thanked the crowd multiple times for being such a great audience and honestly, you could see that she meant it from the bottom of her heart. Taylor performed for the first time in Belgium (it was even her first visit to Belgium) and that Belgium was chosen to open the European leg of the "Speak Now" tour, she added that she will certainly come back to Belgium in the (near?) future. To close the concert a final song was performed during which a bunch of confetti was blown into the air which was a nice thing to close the show.
