It is being released as a single, but sony doesn't promote their crap so in turn we have to do it if we want it to succeed.

And anyways I doubt that radio station would play it without loads of promotion so its good to get on more and more stations

well... i don't really know why they have to do a NEW version of a song that has less than a year first of all... then if it will be a ''live'' version it will be really crap... i guess the original is good enough to give the title to the GH album... they didnt need to do new versions or whatever... i guess they should worry about doing a nice videoclip for the song... because if they are coming out with another live video from the tour it will be useless... no music channel will pass that crap... can't she take 1 day off to make a decent videoclip???? alone and eyes on me were completly forgot as singles... and i really get mad with it because eyes on me could be a jewel as single... i wonder sometimes what are they doing... Ok she's on tour... but a videoclip is easy to do... doesnt take so much... anyway... another flop coming i guess...

I hope they release the single on Itunes. It's the only way for the single to chart on the Hot 100 because I don't think it will be gaining much airplay.

The exclusive 55 sec are taken from the middle of the song and since this one wouldn't be any different than the one we already heard during the TCh preview, they don't even bother

So they just take out the piano to have the acapella begining (good call, I hate the long phrasing she does live) and then before she screams they add ONE WHOLE EXTRA SECOND of silence, for the sake of drama... good thinking there too. And we know she was in the studio re recording it so the vovals will vary slightly. It's all good people. Did you read what people are saying? Most of the blame isn't on Celine, but on Sony, her record company, and it is their job to handle Celine's releases and promote her. Since Celine doesn't want to get involved in her releases besides singing the songs, it is Sony's job to do the rest, and they are clearly not doing their job. The complilation is very poor, mostly due to the lack of unreleased tracks. It's not that hard to, along with the other songs, put 4-6 unreleased/never before heard songs like they did on All The Way. She has plenty of unreleased songs to choose from, so it's not that hard. But they chose to be cheap, and as i've said, the unreleased recordings will most likely be released after she dies. Also with this song, many people are right with speculations about how it will go. They just aren't suprised that Sony and Celine would do these things like add the second just for dramatic pause, and keep the exact same speed as the original song.

 

But yes, Celine is to blame in some part, but that doesn't mean I don't love her. I do love her, but I am very fustrated sometimes with her and Sony. This may be going the teeniest bit off-topic, but Celine seems to be taking every humanly known shortcut in her career(and you all know what these shortcuts are). She's doing everything humanly possible not to get involved with post production/promotion, to use the dreaded P word as much as possible on her tour, to keep living in the 90's with her old and tired out setlists, and not to move on with her career. I honestly wonder sometimes why she's still a singer, when it feels like at many points that she's not enjoying it. If her retiring and being a mom for the rest of her life would make her happy, then I would support her 100%. But I won't be happy when she decides to take every known shortcut, leaving everything up to her manager and record company(who are not doing their jobs). As i've said, I love her, but these things fustrate me. The things she and Sony could do aren't that hard.

I can't agree more with what is being said. Yeah she's just done a big huge tour & yeah she might be tired after all this she might not want to do these things, so if that's the case why does keep releasing them? If they don't plan on promoting it or helping it succeed then the only reason they are putting it out is for the money and money only. Sony needs to be genuinely interested in Celine's career and Celine needs to be interested in helping it succeed rather than just singing the song in the studio and going on oprah. & like Nick said they are just shortcuts. It's another shortcut to sell more albums and for Sony to get some more $$

I'm just definitely in the boat of putting out a genuine good release with promotion and lots of effort from Celine and the rest of her team rather than these lazy releases. & if no one wants to put the effort in then I vote not at all.
