What an amazing show. Thanks so much to everyone who made it possible for us to download this.

 

Highlights for me were Think Twice, Natural Woman, When I Fall In Love, IACBMTN.

 

Some thoughts I have after watching this:

 

*When I Fall In Love: I got confused at first, it almost seemed like she was going to sing it solo. Then Terry Bradford pops up in the middle. An interesting rendition. This is the first I've seen this whole song performed live. The only other performances I've seen are the playback version from Colour of My Love Concert and the edited version from the Millenium Concert.

---Did Celine do this song at any other point on this tour, or did she do it special for this show?

 

*Natural Woman: Interesting that Terry Bradford does not stand in his usual spot in between the other 2 singers. You almost think he's not singing this song but then the camera pans to the side and you see him sitting there singing his little heart out.

 

When you think about it, it's amazing how many high quality performances we have from this tour!

Between all these shows, what a selection of different songs that she sang! All I need from this tour are HQ videos of "Only One Road" and "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" performances and I will be a happy boy.

Yes she did! I remeber she did it during the concert in June 97 in Amsterdam!

oooohhh please don't hate me, maybe I'm wrong, I only watched a few songs, TPOL, Think Twice, Natural Woman, and I don't remember what else, maybe a couple more... and except for natural woman which was pretty good, she was sleep walking through the coincert, I hated it! I like her so much more nowadays.

I noticed it to, she was very very unconfortable during this concert.

I would die, if I would have a croud like that when I give the best of myself...

 

But hey...She earned alot of money for this private show I guess... So...

Yeah I also noticed she was very uncomfortable. The audience was awful! They just clapped quietly, they didn't laugh to many of her jokes. It felt like their silence was humiliating poor Celine! It was like they just sat there thinking 'who is this crazy woman??'

 

I mean it must have been a lot of pressure on her to be paid to sing 100% live, but to get just a little clap for some amazing live performances, it just seems rude!

 

However I really enjoyed watching her sing TPOL. We all know she could definately sing it live in the lower key in the early 90s on TV, but to hear her sing it live in the concert (playback) key, it truly was amazing, especially as this is the only known live performance in this key! Also Elise was singing live cos normally she lips to the playback with Celine at the end. The only other times that she has sung TPOL in this key was a shortened version on Oprah in 97 and 98...

Yeah totally agree. The performance of "The Power Of Love" here was incredible and for Celine to get so little reaction from the crowd must have been really soul destroying. I still cant get over the "Thnk Twice" performance though. One of the very best.

After having time to watch it I just have to say it was unbelievable! Her voice back then could do anything! I didn't worry a bit the entire time that she wasn't going to hit a note like I do these days. It was AMAZING to hear every single song live! It makes me wonder why she couldn't do that normally! She didn't have any problems at all. I found a new appreciation for When I Fall in Love. She did a perfect performance, and used her full voice! The live performance of Natural Woman was FLAWLESS. Every other performance of that song pales in comparison! Her voice was on fire, and she didn't miss a note the entire show. She gave her everything and it made me so sad to think about her concerts now. They just don't give me that feeling I get when watching her back in the day. :/ I still love her and think she's done amazing work the last 8 years, but it doesn't compare to that voice back in 1996 and 97. It could do anything it wanted back then. Anyway, thanks a BILLION for giving us this concert, I will be forever grateful that we get to see this footage after all these years!

I've only watched River Deep Mountain High and The Power of Love, because I want to make it into a video DVD to see it properly, but I agree with who said before that she's better now. It's as it should be, she evolved. I find her voice more powerful now and her showmanship has improved too. I don't care what anybody says, her Vegas years really improved her performing. Not that she wasn't good then. She was totally amazing, at that time I thought she was the best and she was. Now she's also the best, but even better than then... if I'm not confusing you here I think the most obvious improvement is her posture. That hard training for Vegas really made a difference, she's now standing up straight, like a ballet dancer. And doesn't she look even more amazing now, than she did then?! I mean, it's like she's 30 now and she was 40 then Actually, I think the change started sometime in 1999. I guess it's the normal way of things: in the FIY Tour you can see the great difference from TCOML Tour, in the LTAL Tour there an even bigger difference from the FIY one, Vegas... I won't even go there, cause it's a totally different thing... If she keeps improving herself like that with every tour she does, she'll be giving us her best concert when she's 90!

I can't wait to watch the whole thing. Too bad people are sitting at tables and are kindda stiff... Thank you for sharing this concert with us!

Agree, but they are not fans! So WE can judge the concert, and as I see we think it was AMAZING and HUGE!

I would buy it on DVD.

Also...I realized everything was live in this concert, was it like that for the whole tour? Her vocals are amazing! Thanks for the efforts, BUT the sound is extremely bad [tried two and tried different players]; Sorry, will not look at the others in the Brunei concert.

will check on the others now--maybe the mp3's would be better.
