no max no "my love radio version" as hidden track..it's just on Usa version

The opening position is not so important right now. I reckon the plugging and tv ad's will continue through the holiday season to get respectable sales. A decent opening position will be ok.

 

She has always been big on the album sales even without hit singles - with both she would still be a force to be reckoned with.

There was no copies in WHSmith today, they only have the Top 10, so I will have to wait until next week to buy it using my gift card!

 

I went into Woolworths too and they had Taking Chances at number 27 on their charts, but when I looked I was horrified to see it was the 'Cheap Chart', where albums are sold from just £3.79, and TC was one of those! How depressing...

 

They had the My Love 1CD version there though...

We should be very happy if her GH album hits 50K in the US in opening week. That's pretty good for a best-of! Of course, if released in the spring, 50K would be enough to be in the Top 3, but at this time of year, it might be tough to get in the Top 10.

 

And #5 in the UK mid-week charts is GREAT!!

No way... Vinny's right. It's not even reached the 1-million mark yet. According to WorldWideAlbums.net, it's sold 914.660 copies so far.

Yes, the current chart positions for the uk are based on both physical and digital sales of the album!

So I decided to download ML:UEC from iTunes (mainly so I don't have to wear out my hard copy, but also to help sales!)

I noticed there were extra remixes on the downloadable version and was about to simply download these tracks but decided I'd go all the way and buy the whole thing...

 

I then listened to some tracks and was horrified by the butchering of It's All Coming Back To Me Now.

Now, is my download faulty, or does anybody else's version sound like it starts half way through the intro? It's really not good at all; there's half a twinkle on the piano followed by the big chord which then leads into the vocals. I don't get it! There was a radio edit of this song with a suitably reduced intro so why have they hacked even more off in this slipshod way?

I wouldn't like to say as I have not listened closely to it - I couldn't concentrate after hearing what they had done to the introduction.

As far as I can tell, the rest of the song is the same but the intro has been chopped right down in a not so discreet way.

Or maybe it is just a problem I had downloading...??
