It's between record company, promoters and of course, he has his imput and demands, but if he doesn't decide. Rene is the smartest and best manager out there, it got Celine to be the biggest name and seller in music industry, give it a rest. The concert was not sold out because stupid Sony does not promote Celine in any way. You don't sell tickets just by doing some promotion to the concert, you sell them by doing year-round promotion of the artist, especially when the artist happed to release to of the best records in her career during that year. And Celine is doing as well as any other so-called "cool" star out there, which are getting tons of promotion, and she's doing it with no promotion at all. Not to mention Celine did almost no interviews/TV shows during this tour. With her previous tours, she wouldn't had been able to go out and do anything, because she'd be stuck in a hotel room, doing one interview after another. That sold tickets. But she's having more fun now than she ever did on tour, and if that has to come at the price at a few unsold concerts, well, that's that. I'd rather have Celine enjoying herself, than have her breaking record after record after record, all while being stuck in interviews and working all day and all night long. Celine is happy, Rene is happy, RC is happy! And they're sharing that happiness with her fans and she's singing for us with all her heart, she's giving us an amazing concert each time, making us happy too. So give it a rest already! It's her life and it's not all about having a sold out show. It's my first post ever and don't reallly know how it works... but I so agree with your post and couldn't keep silent. Way to go!!! Your_Su_Phu Posted June 16, 2008 at 12:59 AM Posted June 16, 2008 at 12:59 AM (edited) you know what I adore about seasoned professionals is that sometimes they can come up with the perfect runs/melismas during the climax of a song..that sound so memorable and not cliched/overdone by everyone and their mama. celine in her early-mid career did some amazing ones..but lately they've been kinda lacking for me. even in studio versions of her recent songs songs (and even power ballads at that) bored me even when she would do the high notes cos it would sound so routine and not so special. but to hear her let it rip on "man's world" is just amazing to me. surely she's been getting better with this song with each performance..I previously thought that the paris performance of this song was the best - but now I've heard the frankfurt one and it's even freaking better! "but it would be nothing...nothing OOOOOOH babaybabayyyy..without a woman or a girl..without a WOOOOOOOOOOOOMAN or a girl!! It's them or likely to say Reney who wanted to have a certain price margin to be set to cash in from the German/Austrian leg of the tour. The German promotor HAD to comply, they didn't have any other choice but to set the prices so high according to Reney's own price margins. Now we have this. I'm looking forward to the pics from Munich. I think this statement is a 100% correct. This is how it works. Major errors have been made her. Ticket prices were way too high for the far-away-seats. And they booked all the big venues in Germany. Too many concerts.Why choosing outdoor venues if you have a concept for an indoor show?Maybe cash? Of course cash! They don´t give a s*** about the atmosphere and they do certainly lack any sort of feeling of where Celine stands in the Music industry these days. Yes she sold hundreds of millions of records, but thats a long time ago - she was not in the german charts for almost ten years. Have a look at how Tina Turners team plan her german leg of her comeback tour: 4 cities instead of 7 - the result is that she has to give 3 concerts in every venue because tickets are selling like mad - three concerts in Olympic hall in Munich. Thats what Celine should have done - now we see the results. I think the Frankfurt pictures look terrible.Better to have smaller (if you consider 15,000 people as a small crowd) sold out venues then all the big ones with empty seats. No promoter is to blame here - here in Munich you could hardly miss the fact that Celine is coming to town - huge posters everywhere. They did their job. Celines Management didn´t. Quote

At first I was so afraid seeing these empty seats everywhere. I was up in bloc 24 and there was almost no one but my friend and mysef. I almost cried. Especially when I compared to Le Stade de France : 80.000 people around you, that was something !!! But com'on 92 euros for such a far away seat. It's so insane. Those artists have to come back to earth !!! Anyway all these feelings faded away when Celine appeared. Funnily she walked from the end of the stadium to the stage !!! Oh odd but very effective as regards reaction to the people, all screaming !!! Beginning with I drove all night is I think quite a good idea : it kicks off the show with the right speed. Overall, the mood was very good. People clapping and being quite supportive. On I'm Alive they went mad, standing, dancing, clapping. That was just so furiously joyful and energetic. And from the Queen medley to the end they stayed standing up !!! Queen medley is totally right in this show. It infuses the rock side that might be lacking some other time, especially with The Prayer (I totally love the song but I don't think it fits the show). One song was particularly missing : That's just the woman in me. Why did they drop it ??? Too bad not to showcase this edgy side of hers. Great night, great show. Hope she'll come again soon : 9 years, that's long. But pleaes with the right prices this time !!! ha ha Quote

Her Voice was very strong, she smiled a lot, SHE GOT STANDING OVATION AFTER EVERY SINGLE SONG, she did some jokes! It was the first time that i saw her underware sooo damn much, sooo often, it was CRAZY! She have no problem to show us what she is wearing under some dresses, hahaahah! Pics will follow, she is so sexy! One of her jokes were: "I'am here with my housband Rene, my....., and my mother, shes 80 years of ages!!!Later she will perfom a few songs for you" The arena was 60% sold...35.000 - 40.000 seats are available and she sold 20.000! NOT BAD! (Kylie didnt even sold 8.000 in Munich) Another very intresting thing is that everyone from CAT 1 leaves the chairs and ran in front of the stage to dance with Celine at the beginning of River Deep Mountain high! The security tried to stop but they had no chance! Celine was surprised she danced a lot, smilied a lot SHE ENJOYED! I think she didnt expect that from a german audience!The other categories in the back of the stadium were just laam. But we had our fan, WE ROCKED COMMERZBANK ARENA! After the show, we were interviewed my an Radio station! Thanks to all the people i've meet, to all my FRIENDS from everywere! France (yeeeeah you rockkkkkk girls) Brazil, Greece, Germany, Luxemburg,....I had an amazing time with you, THANK YOU! I took great Photos and Videos of the show. I will post them tomorrow, they are sexy as hell! --------------- I took a picture with CELINES BROTHER Michel i can't believe! He is sooooo smart!I also took pictures with MEGO, Aaron, Élise Duguay, Barnev, Jean Sebastion ( the voilist), and many others of the dancers!Celines crew is sooooo amazing, so nice and down to earth! We were a group of maybe 15 people at the back of the stadium. We were near to the busses, they use to drive to the airport. They came to us, we clapped a bit, thanked them for their great work, we talked with them, we made pictures and we had some small talk. I LOOOOVE Élise, she is so great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the coolest one was Aarron, another dancer, i dont renember his name was eating Pizza we enjoyed it, all musicians were really happy and talked a lot with us. The dancers were a little bit tired, because of the hard work! The most amazing thing was that i got an autograph from Rene and that i could thank him for comming to Germany! This is something i will NEVER EVER forget! Its my first Concert i am just too excited!!!I will post VIDEOS & PHOTOS ( very very nice Quality) tomorrow!
