I think we can't blame tickets prices 'coz the most expensive tickets in Macau were around 202 Euro. And this category was completely filled. (Even Malaysia's most expensive tickets were 280 Euro!)

 

Of course we can, not every country is the same. You can ask €202 in Macau, but you for example can't ask €202 in Mozambique, get the point?

Hi!!!! I just got back from Frankfurt to Spain. Uff I am so tired but I knew all of you deserve a short review of the concert. I was right at the back but just in front of the stage. First of all I must say that Celine's voice is really really really spectacular, that's at its best. Oh my God, she's got something unique, believe me. All the concert was live except for TPOL and IACBTMN. I noticed that she did special endings of almost all songs. I mean she hit some notes in a different way just to show us what she is capable of doing. the very very very best moment was MY LOVE ( I cried a lot). Oh my God, I would pay wahtever it takes to see that moment again. That's really really touching. By far the very best moment. I loved also THE SHOW MUST GO ON and IT'S A MAN'S WORLD. She changed the end of this song and it was incredibly perfect. I will nover forget the power of her voice live. It's really unique. By the way, don't get me wrong but the German audience is not the most expressive at all. I think they are a little bit boring. They enjoyed it at all, sure, but they are not very expressive. I am Spanish and maybe it's a cquesiton of culture. If she came to Spain, she could taste our love to her. Tahnks and ask me the questions you want. She is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I truly hope she has seen the sea of empty seats in the concert hall. Her manager's greed is very much visible.

 

Again the fact that she gives 300% of herself is due to the frontal stage. The central stage is simply contrieved and not for her. Point blanc. Pity she tries to impress so badly if she can impress easily on her own without the glitter and dancers.

It was a really great show. I was sad that it was pretty empty in some parts of the arena. But I also hope that, even tough it can't be a pleasant experience to sing in front of a half-empty arena, it does make her and her managment think. I only hope she doesn't believe it's due to a weakened interest in her. I really don't think that's the case. But we haven't heard all that much of her in Germany during the last 6 months. And then with those tickets prizes, I am not suprised it wasn't sold out, but I also wouldn't have thought it would stay THAT empty.

I guess the problem is the arena was big. They chose mid-sized venues throughout the tour, venues for some 20,000 - 30,000 people, why go for one that can hold double that in just one city? And I was amazed when they announced so many concerts in Germany in the first place. Oh well, can't win them all. 20,000 people is a lot. More than in Paris in any given night. If they had went for a smaller venue, it would have been packed And think about one thing: so many top names in the business are forced to cancel tours or shows because tickets aren't selling at all. Thinking from this perspective,she's doing amazing.

I don't think ticket prices had anything to do with this, they're some of the cheapest tickets in the tour.

So lame of some of here to search for futile excuses.

 

Céline and René are the problem here, not the arena, not the promotor.

 

It's them or likely to say Reney who wanted to have a certain price margin to be set to cash in from the German/Austrian leg of the tour. The German promotor HAD to comply, they didn't have any other choice but to set the prices so high according to Reney's own price margins.

 

Now we have this.

Here are some more facts about the concert:

 

- After "The Power Of Love" Céline spoke about this song, that it's a song travels from generation to generation and she thanked the songwriters of this song - Gunter Mende and Mary Susan Applegate - who have been in the audience!!!

 

- Once again Céline spoke about her German songs and started to sing "Liebe und Freundschaft"

 

- Céline didn't cry during "My love" this time

 

- When Céline started to sing "River Deep, Mountain High" hundreds of people ran to the front of the stage to party with Céline!! The security wasn't able to stop them and it seemed that Céline really liked it that the audience was really into it!!!

But there's got to be said that the whole Taking Chances Tour concept is HIGHLY flawed and is clearly NOT what Céline wanted to do.

The problem seems to be tickets prices and numbers of concerts in Germany. Even though Germany has 80 million people, it is 100% not sure all concerts can be sold out.

 

But it was still good this concert was not cancelled!

Rene is the smartest and best manager out there, it got Celine to be the biggest name and seller in music industry, give it a rest. The concert was not sold out because stupid Sony does not promote Celine in any way. You don't sell tickets just by doing some promotion to the concert, you sell them by doing year-round promotion of the artist, especially when the artist happed to release to of the best records in her career during that year. And Celine is doing as well as any other so-called "cool" star out there, which are getting tons of promotion, and she's doing it with no promotion at all. Not to mention Celine did almost no interviews/TV shows during this tour. With her previous tours, she wouldn't had been able to go out and do anything, because she'd be stuck in a hotel room, doing one interview after another. That sold tickets. But she's having more fun now than she ever did on tour, and if that has to come at the price at a few unsold concerts, well, that's that. I'd rather have Celine enjoying herself, than have her breaking record after record after record, all while being stuck in interviews and working all day and all night long. Celine is happy, Rene is happy, RC is happy! And they're sharing that happiness with her fans and she's singing for us with all her heart, she's giving us an amazing concert each time, making us happy too.

So give it a rest already! It's her life and it's not all about having a sold out show.

Céline forgot nearly everything from "You sat my heart on fire..." on... Elise wanted to help Céline, but there was no chance for her to find back into the song And then there have been technical problems, because you haven't been able to hear the background singers anymore^^ I guess this performance was really hard for her!

Yes, cuzz "stupid Sony" should promote Céline to pump more money to Rene's endless pockets. Sure, they don't have truly anything else to do but to promote an artist who does not only give a damn about his own artistic integrity but also about his own MUSIC.

 

Céline got what she deserves, tho. Upon her very wish. She is not involved in her career choices well then she shall bare the consequences. As easy as that.
