Teodora Posted June 15, 2008 at 02:24 PM Posted June 15, 2008 at 02:24 PM Thank you so much for the videos! I guess I'll have to put them onto a video DVD cause my PC just won't play them correctly. I just watched I'm Alive, she did seem a little lost, but it seems she recovered toward the end. And I can't see Rene anywhere.... It's the first time I notice that black top she has on it's see-through Quote

gerry Posted June 15, 2008 at 02:59 PM Posted June 15, 2008 at 02:59 PM Well, I've been to Frankfurt too and it was a great show although the arena was definitley too big... The show was too short! Céline's got so many beautiful song and the concert was over after 1:45 hours. Did anybody already mention the "duet" with Andrea Bocelli? This was the down-point of the evening. She did the song singing together with a video of Andrea Bocelli. That was kind of rediculous. Some people even didn't understand her pronouncement, that she will do this song with a playback. When Andrea Bocellie appeard on the video screens there was applause. Sorry, but there are endless other songs she could perform or take another tenor on the tour, guess money shouldn't be the problem... Quote

Detlef Posted June 15, 2008 at 03:36 PM Posted June 15, 2008 at 03:36 PM Many, many thanks for the videos!! I attended the concert and it was great. Celine was superb, her voice unbelievable. Unfortunately, every other aspect of the concert was quite mediocre...But Celine was the most important aspect anyway Hi, to move the topic away from "half empty stadiums"... As promised here are 11 High Definition(720p) Videos from the Concert: Quote
andrew_84 Posted June 15, 2008 at 03:42 PM Posted June 15, 2008 at 03:42 PM And that's just one side! What went wrong? But anyway, how was it for you? Was the atmosphere still good, was Celine still on form? I think we'd all love to have a small review. Well since i was in the 5th row very close to the Stage, the atmosphere was great... and Celine was in top form... the highest priced tickets sold very well and cat1 (179€) was sold out... but as you can see the seats that were far away didn't sell very well i think they were to expensive just to see some small dot far away... In italy first cathegory price 345€ guys! My cousin spent 103€ to be seated in the last sector of the stadium..almost the car-park it's definitly too much.. I Surrender Posted June 15, 2008 at 03:48 PM Posted June 15, 2008 at 03:48 PM (edited) OMG! were the teamceline members allowed to get to the stage? and dance ON STAGE RDMH????? WITH CELINE?? OMFG!!!!!!!! No not ON stage. They ran ROWARDS the stage up to the gates in front of the stage. I guess the problem is the arena was big. They chose mid-sized venues throughout the tour, venues for some 20,000 - 30,000 people, why go for one that can hold double that in just one city? And I was amazed when they announced so many concerts in Germany in the first place. Oh well, can't win them all. 20,000 people is a lot. More than in Paris in any given night. If they had went for a smaller venue, it would have been packed And think about one thing: so many top names in the business are forced to cancel tours or shows because tickets aren't selling at all. Thinking from this perspective, she's doing amazing.I don't think ticket prices had anything to do with this, they're some of the cheapest tickets in the tour. Holland had about 50.000 seats sold but then again we only had one 1 concert.Prob better if they had chosen a smaller venue for Frankfurt. Glad to hear she rocked it anyways. You Rene haters bore me to tears, really It's not Rene who sets the tickets price. It's between record company, promoters and of course, he has his imput and demands, but if he doesn't decide. Rene is the smartest and best manager out there, it got Celine to be the biggest name and seller in music industry, give it a rest. The concert was not sold out because stupid Sony does not promote Celine in any way. You don't sell tickets just by doing some promotion to the concert, you sell them by doing year-round promotion of the artist, especially when the artist happed to release to of the best records in her career during that year. And Celine is doing as well as any other so-called "cool" star out there, which are getting tons of promotion, and she's doing it with no promotion at all. Not to mention Celine did almost no interviews/TV shows during this tour. With her previous tours, she wouldn't had been able to go out and do anything, because she'd be stuck in a hotel room, doing one interview after another. That sold tickets. But she's having more fun now than she ever did on tour, and if that has to come at the price at a few unsold concerts, well, that's that. I'd rather have Celine enjoying herself, than have her breaking record after record after record, all while being stuck in interviews and working all day and all night long. Celine is happy, Rene is happy, RC is happy! And they're sharing that happiness with her fans and she's singing for us with all her heart, she's giving us an amazing concert each time, making us happy too. So give it a rest already! It's her life and it's not all about having a sold out show. Amen to that Its a different time in her life and she wants to have some fun as well this well. DianaLuts Posted June 15, 2008 at 05:24 PM Posted June 15, 2008 at 05:24 PM I am surprised to see so many empty seats. Considering that Munchen Olympic Stadium is waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy bigger, I hope they won't cancel the show. And i pray it will be full. I don't know, I always felt a tad sad when there were even 2 empty seats at A New Day, and then in Europe. Obviously it is much more noticeable when then arena is so big. But hey, most likely it was the promoters who lost money anyway and Celine got her full paycheck. And she seems to have enjoyed herself. Lets see how Stuttgart goes. Quote

lil angel Posted June 15, 2008 at 06:14 PM Posted June 15, 2008 at 06:14 PM Julian made the perfect review, nothing more to add !!! Céline really was involved 300% no matter if the stadium was not full. Crowd on the floor gave many standing ovations. It was so great to meet Céline's make up woman, michel, rené, the bodyguards and especially after the show to chat with the musicians and dancers they are all so cool and nice. The one with the pizza WAS aaron. They all signed and took fotos with us :-) Barnev could not walk anymore he was surrounded by people askng for photos... We waited until the three buses left and shouted and applauded at the buses when they left. Barnev said they were heading to Stuttgart. The interview at the end of the concert = it was broadcasted live on HR1 and we were interviewed live and we sang Pour que tu m'aimes encore live lol it was so nice !!! Céline was soooooo beautiful and in top form. Julian did not mention we went to the airport (we were only three) to wait for Céline and we saw her landing and we waved at her when her car drove in front of us but she did not stop :-( then we followed her until the stadium (but we stayed at a distance not to create any accident or so...). It was incredible to be able to approach and talk with céline's crew before and after the show, they are so nice to the fans. Highlight of the concert was when we went right in front of céline just when RDMH started, just in front of the barreer between the stage and the crowd, i think there should be a fan section just in front of the stage where people could just stand during the whole show... Céline was fabulous and she did watched us, so did the dancers !!! Then we left the venue with two cars with glasses open and music of Céline very loud and we shouted like crazy ones lol and sorry I should have followed your red Peugeot until the end but I saw u were leaving the city centre and as I had to drive back to munich I decided to go before you which resulted in us losing each other... We lost each other so the girls in my car took a taxi...I m so sorry... I was back in Munich at 3h or so... Next show = Stuttgart, can't wait !!! hey Olivier ! Thanks again for yesterday, it was so great to meet you and share this beautiful moments ! I was so happy to meet all the staff, they were so kind with us, we could take pictures with them and talk. Can't wait to be in Nice, you are so lucky to go to Stuttgart ! You will tell us That's true it's a shame we lost Estevam and Shirley after the show Quote
