Since you are so helpful with the Sound Check, could you answer a few more questions, please?

 

Can I get a small digital camera in?

 

Can I bring my Celine New Day Floor section into the sound check for a possible autograph?

 

How long does it last and how much does Celine interact with the crowd?

 

How many people were at your Sound Check?

 

Was it all I think it will be, or were you disappointed?

I attended the Sound Check in Stockholm, so I can only refer to that one.

To answer your questions.. Our bags were not checked in Stockholm, however, they made it very clear to us that we were not allowed to take any photos during the sound check. They did say we could take as many photos during the concert as we liked. They also told us not to stand up at any time. So everybody was just sitting quiet in their seats as I think the security guys sort of scared everybody with all the rules regarding us attending the sound check.

The duration of the sound check various from venue to venue. In Stockholm it was nearly an hour, which was exceptionally long. They were rehearsing A Song For You for so long as it was a special performance for that night only.

There were a little under 20 people (if I can recall correctly) who had purchased the sound check package for Stockholm. However, at the sound check itself there were some other people behind us as well, maybe 20-30.

We were seated right in front of one of the catwalks at the sound check. Since we were not on the floor, there would have not been any opportunity to get her sign anything after the sound check.

When she first came on stage, she quickly came to the catwalk to greet us. That was the only "interaction" we had... During the sound check she never even came to the catwalk that was in front of us, once she went to the other one, though, where there were even no people there... We thought it was sort of rude... though I do know she's only rehearsing for the concert and is concentrated on the sound check, not putting out any performance for the people attending the sound check. We just felt she was ignoring us.. I wonder if she is aware of the sound check packages at all.. or if she thinks they are just some "random" people watching her sound check.. After she was finished, she just quickly waved and thanked us from the middle of the stage.

I guess it depends on the day how she feels as to how she interacts with the audience. It was definitely great to experience the sound check and see what goes on before the concert itself, however, it wasn't quite what I had expected. Most of the time we were just watching her back somewhere far away on the stage. Actually, most of the time we were watching the screens as that was the only way to see anything.. As I mentioned earlier, they spent a good time rehearsing A Song For You, and they were all by the piano which was on the other side of the stage to us, so again, we had to rely on the screens as it was so dark in the arena during the sound check that we couldn't see what was going on there. They spoke French except when Robert Welsh was on stage. But as I said, it depends on the night. I've read some wonderful experiences people have had at some other sound checks.

All in all, it was a great experience as a whole, but I don't need to pay to see that another time...

I managed to get 2 Celine autographs;

 

one on the promotion of taking chances - her performance on the xfactor in the UK

 

and the other outside the Dorchester hotel in London after seeing her show at the O2.

I also managed to get an autograph from Aaron on my "Taking Chances" booklet but this particular booklet got lost in Amsterdam when I tried to get Céline's autograph on it...

I also have an autograph from Maman Dion.

 

Anyways, I'm happy about Céline's autograph but as for the rest of the band/crew, I much more prefer having pictures with them than autographs.

Photos are much more nicer souvenirs for me.

 

I would love to meet all the band members to get souvenir pictures with them... Maybe I will have some luck in the future...

Julian, she get it at her meet&greet in Philadelphia, not at the airport.

At the airports/hotels Céline usually has no time for such "long" autographs with names etc.

Well, yeah, s*** happens... Now I have the simple "TCH" album without the booklet but fortunately I have some other versions with booklets (deluxe and US version). And on my Japanese version I now have Céline's autograph.

So I'm not crying that much anymore, lol...
