aleskr Posted June 16, 2008 at 08:48 AM Posted June 16, 2008 at 08:48 AM (edited) I'm very excited too to see Celine for the first time I'm now thinking about taking a hotel room, but I'm not sure.It would get very late to return to Luxembourg after the concert: 5-6 hours driving Well I don't know.I also hope the Stadium won't be empty... The concert tickets are expensive enough so I don't want to spend a lot of money on hotel but I'm driving for 5-6 hours too so... I'm staying at http://www.ibishotel.com/ibis/fichehotel/g...che_hotel.shtml 6 more days to go! Edited June 16, 2008 at 08:50 AM by aleskr Quote
Love, Posted June 16, 2008 at 09:02 AM Posted June 16, 2008 at 09:02 AM Hotel recommendations... Where is everyone staying? How much are you willing to spend? Are you looking for a budget hotel or something high class?Since I will be in Munich for a limited time, I want to make the most out of it. I want to be moderate in terms of hotels. I want to stay in the Marienplatz - City Centre area. Quote

Leeze Posted June 16, 2008 at 08:46 PM Posted June 16, 2008 at 08:46 PM Hey ² allI could postpone my meeting to tuesday, so I will be at the concert. I'm now thinking about taking a hotel room, but I'm not sure.Hey celinefanluxI will stay there:http://www.haus-international.de/en/conten...ise.php?lang=enThe hostel is between the Olympiastadion and the train station.Just to sleep, I think this hostel is OK enough. But maybe you are looking for a better hotel, I don't know. Don't know if I should take a single room or a group room, because I think there are a lot of other celine fans at that hostel. Maybe the hostel is only used by celine-fans We'll see Quote

I would like to do a headcount and see your interest:If you are interested, please send me a PM (private message), with your name and names of your guests as well. MartinMunich Posted June 17, 2008 at 07:08 AM Posted June 17, 2008 at 07:08 AM current weather forecast for sunday: rain risk: 5 % (YES!!)sunset: 9:16 looks like a fabulous day. personally, i think it was a good idea from the local promoters to move the stage. the atmosphere will definitelly benefit from that. to all the fans who will see a concert in the Olypmic stadium for the first time: you will absolutelly LOVE this venue. so all in all it looks like everything is up and ready for an AMAZING evening. LET´S HAVE A BALL everyone. Quote
Love, Posted June 17, 2008 at 07:38 AM Posted June 17, 2008 at 07:38 AM Since you live in Munich, Martin, would you help scout a good location for us to have our Pre-Show rendez-vous? Unfortunately, the restaurant in the Four Point Munich Olympiapark is closed on Sundays. I am looking for a good get-together, where we can feast on gourmet sausages and German Chocolate cakes! Quote
fan de celine Posted June 17, 2008 at 09:09 AM Posted June 17, 2008 at 09:09 AM I'm so jealous reading all this. I wanna come with you, but I can't. Damn exams! Why now? I wish you a great time! Quote

Unfortunately, the restaurant in the Four Point Munich Olympiapark is closed on Sundays. I am looking for a good get-together, where we can feast on gourmet sausages and German Chocolate cakes! So you need a good location? I would recommend something close to the Marienplatz as this is in the center and you can jump into the U3 afterwards and go directelly to the concert without changing the line.Ok, here we go: http://www.hofbraeuhaus.de/this is bavarian as can be, but very touristy..... http://www.bar-centrale.com/centrale.htmlthis would probably be my first joice - nice loungy place with great italian food.... http://www.cafe-glockenspiel.de/directelly at the marienplatz, overlooking the rathaus, also nice try bar centrale, no sausages (germans do not eat that much sausages anyways - honestly, we don´t ), but nice atmosphere which should set the mood right for the queen. aleskr Posted June 17, 2008 at 09:43 AM Posted June 17, 2008 at 09:43 AM (edited) @Martin: what about something closer or maybe in the Olympiapark? are there any restaurants there? I guess it would be easier for everyone if we meet there.... It sounds so "rendez-vous-zy" This was suggested by the folks at Olympiapark: http://www.arenaone.de/181/restaurant.html that one is also cool - it is the turning thing up on the olympic tower.so if you get dizzy easily - don´t go up there there are not so many bars or restaurants close by as the Olympic stadium is in the middle of the Olympic Park - it only takes you max 25 mins to go from the Marienplatz to the Stadium. I just think the restaurant in the tower is a bit stiff - a real restaurant where you get seated ... don´t know if you are looking for something like that. Quote

This is what I got from the Olympiapark folks:There are two restaurants at the tower. One at the bottom, which is a self-service restaurant, and a revolving one at the top, which is a little more exclusive. I think we ought to have a place to sit down, eat and socialize. I'll be starving by 5:00PM for sure. I honestly don't mind going to a restaurant at the Marienplatz, just because I am staying in that area. However, I want attendance and participation. Are there any restaurants at the outskirt of Olympiapark? P.S. I love spinning Quote
