Szilvi79 Posted June 25, 2008 at 11:53 AM Posted June 25, 2008 at 11:53 AM (edited) unbelievable - i think the audience was really great - that moment you felt that it really clicked between Celine and the crowd. Though some people here say that the crowd was not that good - I don´t think so. I think they were amazing. I was in block A3 and everybody was up on their feet almost the whole concert. Also the block on the left (A1 i think it was) was going crazy - just the middle one was a bit lame, wasn´t it? don´t you think that it was great how much she was into the new songs? i loved every single one of them - i think "taking chances" was soooo cool when she hit the deep notes and before the music really started after the first chorus you could feel the bass .... great."shadow of love" did not work that well for me - but still in the end everybody was jumping up because you could tell that she is having a blast performing it."eyes on me" was very cool - loved the cape."alone" was mindblowing. I was also there in Munich, i have my seat in Block C2 in the middle. This whole Block was so lame!!! And something was for me very strange- during My Love - a capella part haved 2-3 peoples behind me above Célines performance laughing... that was soo strange!!! :angry2: But she gave us a great show and especially the new songs, Alone and My Love are now my big favorites! It seemed to me she was so powerful and entertained by the crowd under the stage shouting, dancinc and singing with her! It was a great moment, I loved that! I keep on saying that the whole concert was wonderful! Even if the stage was not the big one, even if we saw her before the intro-video and even if they had techinical problems! I felt her really in touch with us, and I think she enjoyed the time she spent on the stage!!! It was a great concert - but it could have been ten times better if the show would have been produced well. She was great in what she did and she suceeded in reaching the audience - but as somebody on the Dublin thread wrote: The stage, the whole set up was not supporting her or adding any value to the songs. I think my final vote is: Celine: Great, amazing voice (of course), brilliant as ever, what a singer.Show/Stage/Production: Mission failed. Quote
freakyali Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:13 PM Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:13 PM Ok the stage was not the great one that she used (for example) in Amsterdam, but I liked it anyway... She had the possibility to stay much more in contact with the crowd this time ...She dind't have to care where to run or in which side of the stage she stayed more...I'm satisfated: in Amsterdam I saw her on the big stage, with all the special effects, in Munich I saw her in a smaller stage, with not so many special things going on, but I loved the concert, probably more than the first one! Celcool Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:54 PM Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:54 PM (edited) how did you guys feel about "my love"? wasn´t that pure magic? i think this is best live song i have ever heared (and i heared a lot). when she was doing her acapella-intro you could have heared a needle fall in the stadium - nobody said a word, nobody clapped, everybody was just watching, listening, being thrilled.... to hear "my love" that way was worth every price........It so was! I was on the edge of my seat (literally) throughout the whole show when I was sitting but for this one, I relaxed in my seat and just let Celine's voice overpower me. It was stunning, the total silence and then her magical voice came through. Pure heaven! I would've stood the whole show but no one around me wanted to so I didn't wanna obstruct their view. Seeing and hearing Celine live in Munich and for the first time was a dream come true, loved everything about it, she gave her all, the only thing that I'm not so happy about is that the stadium wasn't full but that's irrelevant really, all that matters is that Celine was awesome. Oh and thanks everyone for the pictures and videos! Edited June 25, 2008 at 01:55 PM by Celcool Quote

Moleque20 Posted June 26, 2008 at 09:46 AM Posted June 26, 2008 at 09:46 AM I was there too! Everything was amazing. The concert, Celine, Munich, everything. We had a great time there with the greek guyz and our new deutsch freund, Julian! I miss everything so much. We still cannot believe that Celine let us come close to her. Those 15 minutes (while Celine was performing LCMM, RD, MHWGO) were one of the best of our lives, I think! Celine's voice was fine, but a lil' bit tired, she was fabulous and stunning! She performed 'My love', 'Show must go on', "My heart will go on' so perfectly! The intro video was... WOW!! But the stadion was half-empty and that's a pity Alexandra, Elias, Julian, Alex we had a great time Quote Les étoiles tombent une à une. Mes émois sont de saturne.
MartinMunich Posted June 26, 2008 at 10:20 AM Posted June 26, 2008 at 10:20 AM hey all, yesterday evening i met with a couple of friends who were at the concert as well to talk about it a bit - five people who saw here back in 99 as well. we all had kinda the same thoughts. - celine was amazing as ever - not so intense on the older stuff, but stunning on the new songs ("my love" was loved by eveyone - you must have a heart of stone if you did not love the performance) - everyone was shocked by the stage. not that it was only simple, that wouldn´t be so bad, but that fact that it was done so extremely cheap. always seeing celine coming out of her dressing tent walking to the back of the stage to "appear" from the back....of even seeing her before the intro movie.still can´t believe that she accepts something like that. honestly, i think that the majority of the people who are not so celine-crazy as the people on this forum are would probably not pay this tremendous ticket price anymore to see this concert (don´t get me wrong - i would, only to see and hear "my love"). in the end, we came to the conclusion that there are two sides of the story. a great celine, stunning as ever, giving her very best, but a very very cheap production on the other handside. i know people don´t like to hear that kinda stuff here, but this is also an opinion out there in the Celine fan world. fly_vole Posted June 26, 2008 at 12:33 PM Posted June 26, 2008 at 12:33 PM I'm back from Munich! Here is my review...I'm going to the concert at 5pm and I was a little bit surprised becuase I could hear the soundcheck of Alone and Show Must Go On... I thought the soundcheck would be earlier! What a luck ! After eating a pizza I went to one entrance to the Olympiastadion and I waited 40min... Then they opened the gates! Before I asked a securtity-man if it was a problem to take some pictures, but he was really nice and said it would be no problem! I was surprised and happy ! Okay, now I am going directly to the fanshop and buyed my tourbook! After that I was a little bit relaxed, than before! I'm also buyed a poster, with a (for me) unknown picture of Céline... All in all i payed 30€! I also wanted to buy a t-shirt, but there wasn't the t-shirt, which I wanted ! (Maybe you know: font side - Celine Dion wordtour 2008/2009, back side - taking chances)... Jon Masek started at ca. 7.40pm! He wasn't bad and he had a great voice! When he finished there was a man who made the stage clean! He was funny and starts a few Laola-waves... At 8.30pm Céline came! Okay, you see here right before the show starts because there was no real changing-room or something like that... She started IDAN and I feld really happy and right in this moment I thought: The ticket-proces weren't to expensiv! So the show goes on... Between the song IACBTMN was a technical problem, but Céline doesn't matter - she goes on and she smiled and she looks very happy! Every song was a highlight for me... Without the song We Will Rock You - It does not really fit into the concert... The speacial highlights for me were My Love, PQTE, I'm Alive, RDMH and definitily THE SHOW MUST GO ON - That sounds really amazing!!! The 20000 people were all in all great! Okay, there wasn't after every single song standing-ovation but I feel that they were catched of Céline's powerful voice! I mean it was my first concert of Céline and I thought: Mhh, she was so long in Las Vegas, she sangs nearly every day... Her voice woudn't be so good... - BUT: I failed!!!! She sounds so amazing, so powerful, so strong, so full of feelings and emotions, so ... HER VOICE IS UNBELIEVEALBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To all who said: Some songs she didn't sing live - MHWGO was definily LIVE!!!All in all I would say that this evening was amazing! I'm a big fan and now I'm a more bigger fan than before! Thank you Céline for this special evening! PS: Thanks for all the pics, videos (I hope someone will upload them in high quality ) and reviews!
