I don't think you're missing out on much. I have a demo of this album, and the only thing that’s different is the instrumental (at least in the demo I have, which is practically unreleased). (In addition to having all the official instrumentals of Céline from this album and all her albums, as well as all her acapellas)

You said that without us Celine would have spent her whole life in a very poor family in Charlemagne. It is right there in the quote. There is no misunderstanding here. It is a terrible thing to say and you said it to establish a basis upon which to call her rude for not giving you what you wanted - in this instance a health update. Which is why I spoke about para-social entitlement. The fact that you came back to tell me that I misunderstood what you have clearly written is quite telling.

 

PS. Making a contribution to the forum does not grant you immunity from criticism nor does it render the person who criticises you unkind.

I understand your point about boundaries and parasocial relationships, but I'm not saying that Celine owes us anything. I'm just pointing out that much of her success comes from her fans, and that's why it would be nice if her team were more considerate and consistent, instead of only showing up to sell products. That's all I want to express.

 

If you're happy buying the same Falling Into You album with just a different vinyl color, good for you, but there are people who are critical (that's what we're here for on a forum) and don't want to pay again for something they already own, which could have been done better without Céline lifting a finger. I'm not part of her team, but I’m a collector of hers and I have many lesser-known remixes of the songs from Falling Into You. Why not release those from the archive instead of putting out the same vinyl at a high price with just a color change? Being a fan doesn't mean I think everything is perfect or that I stop being critical of her team just because they are showing a bit more activity now.

 

Ah! And I'm not saying that by uploading downloads I'm better than anyone in this group, nor that you are being cruel. I'm just telling you that if you say you want a united community, one of the important pillars is to acknowledge the users who contribute to it.

You clearly said that Celine would still be in poverty if the fans didn’t bought her music and you said that because she didn’t release anything during these time which is for me, a very rude statement to make to someone who has given so much for the past 40 years. I personally still longing for a new release and will be very happy if she releases a new album but i don’t have to say something as rude as that. Plus, remember that she also did acting back then in 1991 for a mini-series and also did so many advertisements back in the 80s, and that’s another source of money, not just her music.

My comment reflects a typical Spanish way of expressing oneself: direct and using hyperboles to emphasize, not a literal attack on Celine. I am criticizing her team's decisions, not her, and it is completely legitimate as a fan to express this.

I thought that is nothing sacred anymore was from Let's talk about love? I would hope that it would be on that album's 30th anniversary edition. also I would die if they added that Beatles song here, there and everywhere

Exactly. And I don’t just have this album, I have some others too. Acapellas and instrumentals—I have them all. From La Voix du bon Dieu to the Love Again EP. I even have some demos in FLAC, of course, so I can listen to them exactly as they were conceived. The FLAC isn’t a fan conversion; it’s an official lossless file (although it hasn’t been shared on forums or groups… only a few of us have it ).

In any case, it would be better to do it privately between the two of us, since it’s, as you can understand, sensitive material, and it seems that someone has tried to take it down. I have demos from One Heart album, A New Day album, Taking Chances Album, Courage album, Loved Me Back To Life Album, Ashes, La voix du bon dieu...

Yeah, Is Nothing Sacred Anymore was supposed to be on LTAL. Here, There, and Everywhere was recorded exclusively for a tribute album if i remember correctly but it would be nice to have it on LTAL.

I was about to write that duet with Luis Miguel but her vocal sounded more late Celine Dion era or TCOML era there so i’m not sure if it counts as a FIY unreleased track.

I don’t understand the relevancy of this and LukeD’s comment about your statement against Celine. Nobody discussed about the FIY vinyl and how fans feel about them. We discussed about your statement saying that Celine is rude because she doesn’t give a health update and She would still live in poverty if it wasn’t because of the fans buying her music.

How were you able to get all these demos and special material!?

I can forgive the cash grab vinyl if they upload the maxi singles to streaming. Although they didnt do that for TCOML or Unison so of course it wont happen.

 

No reason why IACBTMN remixes couldnt be added to streaming. Also think of all the live vereions they could add from that era.

I would love it if we could get a full Australia concert or something very early on in the tour for the Anniversary. It would be interesting to hear how some of the at the time new tracks sounded at a very early stage. Think of all by myself, for example, which had her going for many different high notes in Australia before it was shortened by the time of Montreal in June.

That blue color is nice though.
